    Crabby Crab Scramble
    Dexter B.

I came here in the morning to have brunch and try out this place. This place has a really cool and chill vibe to it. They have a lot of little cute decoration all over the place. They do have music playing to match its appearance. The service is excellent. The food quality is good. The price is on the steep side. Crabby Crab Scramble ($32) is good, has good amount of crab meat and lots of celery. It has a unique taste compared to other scrambles. The price is what gets me to a 4 out of 5. French toast with fresh fruit ($18). To me, it didn't seem to have enough egg within the French toast. So the ratio of egg vs bread wasn't doing it for me. I do prefer my French toast to be more of the eggy side. 4 out of 5. Coffee ($4). The service at this place was excellent. They kept making sure my coffee and water was filled. They checked on me regularly every 5-10 mins. Service 5 out of 5.

The food was very decent, and the service was good as well. However, I feel the pricing is much too high for the location. The prices are nearly double what I would expect to pay at other Thai restaurants, while the restaurant is located right next to a grocery store doesn't really match the price. I'm giving it 4 stars because the food and service were good, but the price makes it difficult to justify dining here regularly. My suggestion would be to consider moving to a better location, such as a nice shopping center. The pricing would feel much more reasonable if the restaurant had a more luxurious atmosphere and location to match.

I really enjoy visiting Lungo Thai Eatery. The food here is delicious and packed with so much flavor. We ordered the yellow curry and pad thai and both were amazing. This Thai restaurant is a little more on the pricey side but their dishes really make it worth it. The customer service here is great everyone was friendly and would check up on us. The inside is very clean and really has a nice modern feel to it.

Visited on a weekday for late lunch. The service was great, the food was mediocre, lacking of the bold, strong flavors expected from Thai cuisine. Appetizers Crispy Rolls: Quite bland and lacking in flavor. Oh! My Wings: Fried wings, well-seasoned, the highlight of our lunch. Entrées Crispy Branzino: Deep-fried butterfly branzino served with green apple dressing and brown rice. We were quite disappointed; the deep-fried fish had no seasoning and was very dry and tasteless. Pad Thai and Yellow Curry With Rice were just okay. We had Thai Iced Tea and Fresh Thai Coconut, they're all okay.

Whoa! First time here at Lingo Thai Eatery. Truthfully, I was not in the mood for Thai, but I was so delighted eating here, I did not mind at all! We started offing from their lunch menu (their dinner menu has different offerings, as they bring in more chefs for dinner) with an order of samosas - crusty shell and moist potatoes seasoned just right, and the coconut curry which had a good balance of sweetness and a bit of spice was delicious! My wife and I shared a Lamb Shank Massaman (that was one thick shank of lamb!) while my daughter, who was famished, ordered the Steak and Eggs! The lamb was tender and juicy, while the sweetness of the curry enhanced the lamb. I enjoyed the crispy vegetables inside the curry - the medley of potatoes and carrots were crisp on the outside and so tender on the inside , and the crunch added a nice texture to the meal. I noticed that the seasoning included star anise. As much as I stay away from anise, there was no licorice taste at all. Rather, the spice blended well within the tasty curry. Bravo! My daughter did well in eating those steak and eggs! The steak was tender and served medium rare. The "medley" of potatoes as listed in the menu, however, were steak fries instead. My daughter did not mind, but for those expecting a medley of different colored potatoes may be disappointed. The steak fries, were, however, excellent! Most likely double-fried, they were extra crispy on the outside, and steaming hot on the inside! Delicious! The eggs, served however one specifies, consists of three eggs, scrambled, but formed in a nice solid brick, with all of the fluffiness and delicate-ness of a cotton ball - just so yummy! Wow! Kudos given here! We were absolutely stuffed by the end of the meal. The waitperson, I assume was the owner, was bright and cheerful, and throughout the meal was very attentive and helpful. Thai curry, yes, but a very unique and tasty Thai curry without the excessive spiciness one may expect. I cannot wait to come back to try their dinner menu! Highly recommended!

Thai fusion brunch. I'd probably come back to try their dinner option. I got their crab scramble. The scramble egg was just okay, sauce wasn't memorable either. I did really like the medley potatoes though. We had asked for them to make the dish spicy, the waitress said it was doable, but there was nothing spicy on my plate at all. I noticed afterward (while leaving) that they actually have Tabasco sauce as condiment. Not sure why they didn't offer us that. With that said, the meal did fill me up. It just feels like something is missing in the flavor. Maybe I just had the wrong expectation - I thought there would be more Thai flavor in the dishes.

Such a cute place for a Thai-style brunch. I've been to places like Sweet Maple and Farmhouse Thai and I was just glad not to have to wait in a long line for a brunch. We were seated immediately and got our order in and food delivered in efficient time. We got a mix of brunch and lunch. The food was tasty, the only comment from my family is that the red curry could've been stronger. The waitresses were friendly, but there were just the 2 of them for the whole restaurant. They came by every time I waved them but they were always busy with something. All-in-all, solid place and we finished everything!

Came by for lunch the other day and it was a tasty experience. Lungo Thai Eatery is located inside a strip mall, in between Walgreens and Smart and Final on El Camino and Grant, across from BMW of Mountain View. Parking was plentiful in the private strip mall lot. Lungo serves Thai-American brunch and Thai-American dishes. Started off with their signature pad thai crispy tiger prawns and it was quite tasty. The prawns were gigantic and plentiful. The pad thai itself was Americanized and quite sweet, unlike the traditional Thai version. Moved on the samosas and they were decent. The lamb shank curry was tasty as this was served with a zesty hot roti. The lamb shank seemed to be reheated as parts of it were still cool. Most of the lamb shank was quite tender though. The curry was tasty too. Ended off the meal with the mango sticky rice which was decent. The mangos aren't as flavorful as the ones found in Thailand. ~$40/head after tax and gratuity for lunch.

    Chicken Satay Benedict

I went for Sunday brunch with a friend right before 11 am. We were seated right away and didn't have a reservation. The servers were attentive and quick and we finished eating in less than an hour. Both of us ordered the chicken satay Benedict for $24, and it was amazing. Definitely the star of the show, and I would go back specifically for this dish. The peanut sauce went very well and it didn't feel as heavy as a normal hollandaise sauce. My friend and I wished they gave more of it or even offered a small cup to dip into. The side of potatoes were also delicious, crispy in the outside and soft on the inside. I'm not sure if any of the other dishes are as good as this Benedict. Most of the other items looked pretty standard. The prices are a little on the average to more expensive side. It's a very spacious restaurant that can fit a good amount of people. The air conditioning was a little strong, so bring a jacket.

I came for brunch with my wife. The inside was mostly full due to us coming at 11. At 11 they serve both brunch and lunch which is nice. But I was more excited by the brunch. The prices are quite high. But the portion was pretty good. I ordered the satay chicken benedict. I asked for spicy too. The flavor was very interesting, the egg plus peanut satay was a nice combo. Their potatoes are also very soft! Really liked those. Chicken was decently tender and biscuit was flavorful. Would come again but price was quite high. Can't give a 5*.

My friend found this place and we were intrigued by the concept of the Thai fusion brunch! It is located in the shopping plaza with Smart n Final and Nijiya. They have tables for big groups. We tried: Chicken Satay Benedict- yummy and moist satay style chicken with your typical eggs benedict and hollandaise sauce. Done very well. I appreciate when places serve the side of potatoes using the rainbow ones- the purple, regular, and sweet. That extra detail always adds more for me. Banana Tub Pancake- 3 or 4 ricotta pancakes with a caramelized banana and palm sugar/coconut syrup. These were good. I think I prefer regular maple syrup with my pancakes instead of the palm sugar/coconut syrup though. Lungo Fries- steak fries with melted cheese and peanut sauce. Pretty good, never had fries with peanut sauce before, but now I'm thinking, why haven't I??? It's yummy ! They are family friendly and their kid's brunch menu is a pancake with eggs and bacon $12. My friends tried: Massaman Lamb Shank (see pic, very impressive looking)- super tender, almost drinkable and delicious curry sauce Crabby Omelette- real crab ! Apparently the green sauce that comes with this is amazing (per my friend) Lungo benedict (pork jowl!)- you don't see pork jowl being offered with an eggs benedict like... ever! The table by us ordered the whole crispy branzino which I was very tempted to get, but we restrained ourselves. Overall very good. Pricey but consistent with Bay Area brunch places. I would like to come back to try their standard Thai food too. Their grand opening is next week and they hope to offer alcohol later. Hope this place does well!!

Papaya salad 5/5 - good flavor and all the toppings made the salad very yummy. Just wish there was more! Pad see ew 5/5 - standard pad see ew Green curry 4/5 - I wish curry dishes come with rice because how do people eat curry without any rice. Still delicious and the eggplant was a nice touch Overall good food and service. Portions are a bit small

The interior is super cute inside this new Thai brunch. The chicken satay caught my attention and it was what I expected! I got the eggs Benedict with chicken satay and everything tasted so well together. I want to try the Thai ice tea next time.

They were pretty one-note in flavor and felt underwhelming. The crab fried rice and Panang braised beef were both enjoyable, but neither dish was particularly memorable or something I'd go out of my way to order again. The braised beef itself was tender, but it was served in large chunks that didn't make for the most appetizing presentation. The Thai iced tea was also noticeably sweeter than what I'm used to, which may work for some people but wasn't my preference. One thing that stood out for the wrong reason was the pacing of the meal. Our crab fried rice arrived first, followed by the curry puffs, and then the Panang beef came out last. The timing felt disjointed, especially since you'd expect the appetizers to arrive before the entrées. The biggest issue, though, is the value. The prices are on the higher end for Thai food, and when the overall experience is just average, it's hard to justify the cost. Nothing was bad, but nothing really stood out either. Overall, it was an okay meal, but with so many great Thai restaurants around, I don't see myself coming back.

Let's start with the food - it's good not great. Thai food is generally known to be affordable and good value. This spot definitely isn't going to be saving you any money to offset less than stellar quality. If there were no other Thai options, it may be ok, but the Bay isn't lacking in quality Thai food. Most dishes are bland and dare I say pretty Americanized. Sadly, the food is the best part. The service is really and I mean really bad. Even when it's empty, they are still slow and don't seem to care at all. Complete antithesis of what you may be used at Thai restaurants. The atmosphere is mid. The place hasn't really been updated much over the years and it's starting to show its age. Overall, it feels like Amarin is stuck in the past and everything has just come at them fast. What may have been able to pass muster a few years back when Castro was a sleepy street in a quiet and boring suburb is no longer good enough.

The food has consistently been a level above most Thai restaurants we've tried throughout the Bay Area--and honestly, it's the reason we've been willing to make the drive to come here. The service has also always been very efficient, although I wouldn't necessarily describe it as particularly warm or friendly. Unfortunately, after several recent visits with different friends, we've noticed a recurring pattern with the service that has become difficult to overlook. For some context, today's group happened to include three people with years of experience working in high-end restaurants. We obviously didn't mention that to the staff, but it gave us a particular perspective on some very basic principles of hospitality. We completely understand that a restaurant may have a policy of not seating a party until everyone has arrived. That is perfectly reasonable when the restaurant is busy and tables are in demand. However, when the restaurant is nearly empty, with only one or two tables occupied, it seems unnecessarily rigid to make the first person in a three- or four-person party stand at the entrance and wait for the others to arrive. There's a much better hospitality opportunity here: seat the guest who has arrived, offer them a drink or perhaps an appetizer, and let them get comfortable while they wait. It creates a better guest experience and, not incidentally, gives the restaurant an opportunity to increase the check and potentially the gratuity. Instead, the guest is simply left standing at the door waiting. When the dining room is essentially empty, this comes across as unnecessarily unwelcoming. Another recurring issue is the lack of awareness of the table. Once we're seated and clearly engaged in conversation, there's no need to approach the table every few minutes asking if we're ready to order. Good service should be attentive, but it should also involve reading the room and recognizing when guests are simply enjoying their conversation and need a little more time. The same applies to clearing plates. We absolutely appreciate an efficient dining room and like having the table kept clean. But there have been several occasions recently when staff have attempted to remove a plate or bowl while there is still food remaining--even if it's just a small amount or a single piece of greens. There's a difference between keeping a table tidy and rushing guests through their meal. A little more awareness of whether someone is actually finished would make a significant difference. What makes this particularly disappointing is that these aren't isolated incidents. We've experienced the same types of service issues repeatedly over our last several visits, with different groups of friends. And that's a shame, because the food really is excellent. We've continued coming back despite the distance specifically because we think the food is that good. But at some point, excellent food isn't enough to overcome a consistently poor hospitality experience. This would have easily been a five-star review based on the food alone. Unfortunately, the recurring service issues have changed our overall experience enough that we're giving Chuan Chim Thai Cuisine three stars. It's unfortunate that after enjoying this restaurant for so many years, we've reached the point where we'll likely stop coming--not because of the food, but because of the service. We sincerely hope the restaurant takes this feedback to heart. The food deserves better hospitality, and a few relatively simple changes in how the staff reads and responds to the guests could make a tremendous difference.

Overall: 4 stars…read more Always tasty on Uber Eats, so have been meaning to try this restaurant in person for a while and finally got around to it. Owned by a winner of a reality cooking competition, it makes sense why it is priced at a premium, and with that follows pleasantly attentive service, innovative dishes, and comfy seating. I found the food to be generally pleasant, and the only thing that is unpleasant is their proximity to the train station that interrupts conversation on an intervalized basis. Old Siam - I see the vision of this luxury take on an old fashioned, which is flavorally accurate. I think the garnish is a bit too simple beyond the block ice to properly convey that look. Roti Mataba - Intriguing dish as I've never seen roti used to encapsulate before, but its smart as it creates a flaky exterior that pairs incredibly well with the curry sauce. Pad See Ew - Large portion of a classic dish that is served on the lighter side but still tasty. I would clean up on the presentation though. Mango Sticky Rice - Beautiful arrangement of mango sticky rice that shows great knife skills of the mango. You can see the heart shape starting to form of the sticky rice as well, which is beautiful. I think it coild be even more advantageous to use rose to dye for a more warming color palette.
