Felt like having a good carne asada plate or carnitas. Decided to give Casa Orozco a try. I know they're known for their margaritas and lively bar area. It was just me and my husband. The place wasn't that busy since it was a Wednesday evening. They walked us through a maze and sat us in a corner where I could smell the bathroom. No thanks. We got up and asked to sit at another table in a different room away from the bathroom. They happily obliged. Our server was friendly and checked on us frequently. I ordered a the carne asada plate. It was a huge order. The rice was good. The beans were flavorful. The meat was edible. Sadly, I wish it was seasoned with salt or garlic or anything to give it flavor. My husband ordered a two-item combo with a shredded beef taco and a carnitas burrito. He enjoyed the taco but the carnitas burrito was lackluster. No flavor. No salt. Such a bummer because it could be so much better. I don't think we'll be returning here for Mexican food.

Our school Christmas party was hosted here and a lot of people said the food is good. It is good for group of people I believe we were 30 teachers here. The staff are attentive and friendly of course! We received a great service. I ordered chicken enchiladas and mango margaritas both came really good. The food was a big portion very fulfilling and we got flan is a good. All the teachers are satisfied with their orders. I will be returning to try other dishes.

We come regularly for years. There are great menu items that are good to read about and consider, but typically we have go to items. Mine is quesabirra or street tacos, my wife is a street taco fanatic. Pork pastor never disappoints, but there are a variety of options. The quesabirra had a rich flavour with a homemade smokiness that was very delicious. The prices are great. Once you know what you want over time you can order very effectively, getting plenty of tasty, shareable food at a good price. This is a solid establishment that you can use for parties or smaller groups. I think they have a balanced menu that is consistent over years. Service is great, with very polite staff. It's a regular part of our lunch rotation...

Love this restaurant the ambience is very open family oriented, large restaurant good for a large groups and parties. It's always busy and bustling with conversation and smiles from the hostess all the way to the waitress in the waiters very professional attentive. The food is delicious. We had the shrimp quesadilla with a side of rice and beans, and a combination of pork tamale, shrimp enchilada, which was excellent by the way and a fish taco with rice and beans on the side we had the 22 ounce top shelf. Margarita, which was fantastic. Don't miss out.

We always go here for great Mexican food! Restaurant has family ambience. They celebrate your birthday by singing and giving you a Mexican hat. Servers are friendly and make you feel at home! They should consider re doing their sofas as they look old and has old smell but this is not a deal breaker we still go there every time. They have live music on Fridays in the outdoor back area, go with your special date!

I'm the dude that got french fries here so interpret my review however you want. First off, those fries were good though! 75% closeness to McDonald fries. I got the Street Tacos Al Pastor. They were fine, nothing super memorable about it. Just tasted standard. I think what's nice here is the space. I was really surprised by how big the restaurant was. I came here during lunch, and there was a sales presentation being held in one of the corners and then another area had a children's birthday party. This place is HUGE! Perfect spot to host something

Casa Orozco catered at my work for lunch on Monday, a variety of trays set up, different meats (beef, pork, and at least two types of chicken), crispy and soft taco shells, tortilla chips, beans, rice, veggies, and sauces. The salad ingredients were fresh, and the mixed vegetables were delicious but mainly bell peppers. The steak was okay, not bad but not memorable in any way. The chicken was really good, tender and flavorful, marinated in really great seasoning. I especially enjoyed the arroz con pollo, a smoky and savory concoction with layers of mexican rice, melted cheese, and enchilada sauce.

Pretty cool restaurant. They have a great patio area and plenty of seating inside as well. There are tables and booths which I appreciate. The service is pretty good. The food is delicious. I usually get chicken enchiladas or the Alteno Burrito with shredded beef. The beans and rice are amazing. It's a great place to go with a large party or just a few people. Very accommodating.

Definitely has a great vibe. Service a little slow for not being busy. Margarita pricey and weak. Food was definitely a solid five star. I had the carnitas burrito.

My family and I had a lovely meal at Casa Orozco last night (Thursday) They have a number of gluten-free choices. I got the GF chicken free fajitas, which were delicious. The food was fresh and yummy and the waiter was very accommodating.. give this place a try you will be glad you did. Bon appétit

TEN YEARS LATER My last time eating here I wasn't impressed by either the food or service. I wasn't planning to come here again. Last night my friends and I ate here at the last minute as the place we wanted to go to eat was too far away with closing time approaching by. I wasn't going to order the barbacoa, which was the item I ordered last time, but something new. What appealed to me from the menu was the quesabirria - an item lately that I'm attracted to when I go to a Mexican eatery. When I got my quesabirria it didn't look as if the tortilla was crispy enough. The beef was tender and moist. The consommé tasted more of a salsa texture than a beefy texture. I was satisfied, but not impressed with the quesabirria. My dinner at Casa Orozco was a slight improvement from ten years ago when I last ate here.

We started with a couple of coffee martinis and a few of the Happy Hour starters, then went for the whole sea bass and lamb chops. Now, the sea bass. I had read reviews mentioning small bones, so I asked our server about it. He assured us it wouldn't be too bad, so we decided to live dangerously and order it anyway. We managed to debone it, but every few bites we were finding fish scales. Not exactly the texture surprise I was hoping for. Meh. The lamb chops were fine, but I wanted more flavor. They didn't quite have that "I'm going to think about these tomorrow" factor. The sweetest part of the evening was when our server brought out a baklava with a candle for our birthday girl. Unfortunately, she's allergic to pistachios, so he quickly brought out a little bowl of ice cream instead. Very thoughtful save! Service was good overall, although things slowed down at times. We weren't in a rush, so it wasn't a dealbreaker. Would I come back? Yep. There are still plenty of things on the menu I want to try, and any restaurant that gives us another excuse for Happy Hour is worth another visit in my book. .

One of the patrons tipped $20 and sang three songs in a row. In comparison, I got one song in in the span of three hours. I kind of expected the place to start clearing out after midnight but ppl stuck around and seemed to be having a good time. If you're not into rock n' roll/metal karaoke, they also have pool, shuffleboard, and darts. The experience begins in a small glass-enclosed entryway where you're greeted before the hostess is notified by radio. Moments later, the glass door opens, revealing a beautifully designed speakeasy with an elegant yet inviting atmosphere. The space offers comfortably spaced bar seating, cozy booths, and tables, all surrounded by tasteful décor that perfectly captures the speakeasy era while incorporating subtle honeycomb-inspired touches. The spirit selection is impressive, and the appetizer menu is thoughtfully curated. Their specialty cocktails are creative, balanced, and beautifully presented. We sat at the bar, where our mixologist, Kalika B, was both personable and professional. I always enjoy sitting at the bar when the bartender is willing to share their craft, and Kalika did exactly that. She explained the story behind several of their custom cocktails, the history of some of their spirits, their signature custom ice program, and offered excellent appetizer recommendations. Her knowledge and enthusiasm made the experience even more enjoyable. The entire space was spotless and clearly designed with great attention to detail. It filled up quickly after opening, so I was glad we arrived when we did. Despite the growing crowd, there appeared to be plenty of staff, and the service remained attentive without ever making guests feel rushed. There is only one restroom, but during our visit it was never an issue, and there was no wait. I've been chasing speakeasies for more than 20 years, long before they became as popular as they are today. Whenever I travel, I make it a point to seek out a local speakeasy, so I've experienced quite a few over the years. Honeycomb ranks near the top of my list. It's the perfect size--not too small and not too large--with an outstanding selection of spirits, exceptional craft mocktails, knowledgeable mixologists who truly know their craft, and cocktails tailored to your palate. The atmosphere is elegant yet approachable, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality of the experience. The Honeycomb Speakeasy in Livermore is truly a destination-worthy cocktail experience. Be sure to check their Instagram for the current password, then treat yourself to one of the best speakeasy experiences in the area.
