Great food and great staff. Try the margaritas and the fried fish. The best for any occasion.

Went tonight for the first time in a very long time. I found the chips had a aftertaste to them. that taste then seemed to carry over to everything. Was wondering if the oil was old or a certain brand or what. Still have the aftertaste in my mouth. Asked for water and a pepsi. The waitress only brought the pepsi.... Another waitress came by to see if I was ready to order.....asked her for a water- she never brought it. The water and the pepsi were served in the same glass... Then kept wondering why my water was taking forever as the waitresses chatted and chatted in the kitchen entrance and would glance at me... finally the chip guy brought the water after the group was done chatting. Just make the chip guy a waiter and everybody bring water and chips and clear the tables. The salsa- was competing with the flavor of the chips. The diced tomato and onion they served with it seemed not as fresh as Its been in the past and only worthy of a couple of bites. The burrito was ok- still could taste the chips or oil they chips were fried in..... Then the little fried desert thing also seemed to have a the same chip flavor residue. Was really looking forward to some good food for the start of my two days off. Just was really sad that I wasted my eating out dollars on tonights meal. This has been about the third time were the wait staff seems mad that you are there and the food hasn't satisfied. Guessing its time to knock them off of places to go. read more

The food is always well portioned. The staff is always welcoming and give you good service even with a large group. The chips and salsa as always are very good and taste freshly made. The place itself is usually very pleasant to be in and they usually have sports on the tvs or a soccer game. read more

When my sister and her husband took us to Casa Vallarta for dinner, I did not have high expectations, but found the food to be good and plentiful. I had the Expresso Burrito (delicious, stuffed full of chicken). My son had the Arroz con Pollo (a huge portion of chicken and rice), and my brother-in-law had a three enchilada combination (again huge). The service was attentive and excellent. Such fast service and our waitress was so sweet! Right away after sitting down we got brought waters, salsa and really good chips. I had vegetarian fajitas which were delicious. The mushrooms, corn, onion and bell pepper were j. a flavorful sauce. My sister got the flautas combination with rice and loved it! We shared a house margarita (which was ginormous) and it was strong and delicious. My wife and I have been coming here for years and hands-down they have the coldest beer in town! the service is always excellent! and friendly it's like you're at home.they make you feel so welcome and treat you like Family. Food was not good at all. My friend and I had the combination #7 . The enchilada didn't taste like enchilada sauce ( tasted like plain tomato sauce), the cheese was not melted, the crispy chile relleno was not crispy at all. It tasted like raw dough, the beans tasted like they were mixed with can beans. The plate had no presentation, no lettuce or tomato. I had to pour the salsa from the chips over my plate to give it flavor. The food was bland. I will not return. The only thing that was good was the waitress. I don't know if this had to do with it being a Friday night and maybe too many people were there . No one was satisfied. read more

Sort of kitschy or something? Maybe just Americanized. Margaritas were hit or miss depending on who made it. Some came out tasting pretty salty, for some reasons Top shelf tequila didn't seem to mark a difference either. Sangria is pretty tasty. Not totally sure what is in the sangria because it comes out rather purple and sweet but tasted good and I definitely felt the alcohol. I didn't have any dinner but friends seemed to enjoy what they had. Casa Vallarta also gives away a free cucaracha shot to everyone (of drinking age? That ordered a drink?) a combo of Kahlua and añejo tequila, I think. A surprising combo but fun nonetheless. read more

I have been wanting to come to Casa Vallarta for months to try it. Today I was finally was able to, and so glad I did! In doing so I have found my new favorite Mexican restaurant! The location is very handy, right off hwy 83, and it's right near my favorite pet place, which also comes in handy. The ambiance is what you would find in a typical Mexican resturant in the area, but is not fast food. Our service, food and overall experience were amazing. We even got a complimentary dessert! I gave it two stars because the drinks were good but it was hard to get it the waiter to come back to order more. I can't believe the server and the kitchen would serve me the burnt chicken fajitas. I took my husband there for Father's Day 6/16/24. We ordered the fajitas for two and frozen mango margaritas. My husband is a picky eater but he absolutely loves the food. I've never seen him eat so fast. The waiter was incredibly attentive and kind. The took great care of us. We plan to be there on Broncos happy hour. Absolutely delicious!!!!! read more

I would say this place is mediocre compared to other Mexican/Tex-Mex restaurants in the area. I had the mole enchiladas and the mole sauce was very chocolatey. My husband had the molcahete which did not come in a traditional molcahete bowl (it was plastic). Normally we're used to it being hot and still bubbling/steaming when it is served. They also topped it with what looked like string cheese? The flavor was good, but not the best. The drinks were great and reasonably priced. We have been patrons of Casa Vallarta for more than 30 years. We usually dine in, but occasionally order take out as we did tonight. We ordered the 3 Enchilada dinner and the Chili Colorado. Both meals were half the portion we're accustomed to getting from this restaurant. Half the meat, half the beans and half the rice, but all the cost. The food was good as usual, but we were very disappointed. I don't think we'll be back. read more

I have driven past this place about a hundred times and had a few people recommend it. It is one of those places that you just never end up going too, until recently. Bottom line: It is is OK. The good: Strong drinks, huge portions, pretty cheap prices and we had good service when we went. Plus there looks like there is a huge bar in the back with lots of TVs and they advertise specials to come watch football, if that sort of thing floats your boat. The bad: So the bad isn't really bad, it is ho-hum. The food was alright. It was a a very cheesy, very Americanized version of Mexican (I had a relleno, enchilada and taco + rice and beans). Nothing really had any heat (spice) and it tasted OK, but not special in any way. So I guess the take away on this place is, it is A-OK. I liked that you got a little sopapilla with your meal at the end (and of course chips/salsa to start). I generally like Casa Vallarta...I think the chips are crispy and salty....love that they bring both salsa and pico de gallo (which I love). The food is definitely better at night (which isn't unusual). I often order cheese enchiladas with rice and black beans smothered in green chili and I've never complained. The challenge is that it often feels like they are unprepared to serve people or the restaurant is a little beaten down. Tonight when I came in, two teen girls were at the hostess stand dipping French fries into ice cream cones and didn't even look up to say hello....so...who knows!? read more

This place is not bad. Its a little run down and could use a refresh, but its...well, not bad. The tequila selection is huge. You name it, they probably have it. The food is a bit disappointing. Its not bad but I expected better. The fajitas could have been seasoned better, but the portions are fairly large and the food price is decent. The tequila prices are a bit high, but most places won't carry the quality or selection of agave bliss that they do. The service was a bit slow, but extremely friendly. The dining room is showing its age, and while age is fantastic for tequila, its not so fantastic for restaurant carpet. This place is huge. It has two sides, a restaurant side, and a bar side. We both had the lunch special-#7 enchilada and chile relleno plate - (mine crispy, his soft/ ) I love the Spanish ambiance and the service was spectacular - My plate was delicious I love the Fresca cheese they used and the beans were fresh and texture was smooth - The red chile on my enchi hit my tongue perfect with the beans and rice- I would of had a marg if I wasn't going swimming - I will be returning because their ( al pastor tacos with queso cheese) looked absolutely mouth watering - I would give this place 4 stars but their woman's bathroom was below my standard- (I have a pet peeve when it comes to bathrooms) - Don't get me wrong they weren't terrible but hey my full review is based on everything - Hopefully next time it will look great I would love to add another star- read more

Meh. This place is a few blocks from home, so it's my neighborhood Mexican restaurant. If it weren't so close, I would never eat there. To give credit where it's due, some of their dishes are really very good. The burrito azado is nice. Most of their plates are the bland microwave-style dishes served at low-end Mexican chain restaurants in Texas. The service is worse than the food. It doesn't matter if we go during peak busy time or during an afternoon lull, I always feel forgotten by the servers. If I have to make an effort to find a server to refill a drink, or to track down my bill so I can leave, then the servers aren't doing their job. The experience stretches longer than it needs to, and makes the act of dining there a chore. I won't pretend we don't still go there, but it's mostly out of a craving for SOME kind of Mexican food and the fact it's so much closer than other options. If you live within 10 minutes of the restaurant, or if you really don't care about the food or service, then it's an OK place to try and satisfy that craving. Otherwise don't bother, save yourself the trouble, and let them gouge some other sucker. read more

SIMPLE PROCESS! 3 shredded beef chimichangas, black beans. Received? Shredded chicken (with extra, NASTY, dark meat) and was charged for original order. Same problem yesterday with a top shelf margarita. This place has become run by thieves. STAY AWAY IF YOU'RE SMART!!! Also, chips were bottom of the barrel and the food was disgusting. The food was ready when expected and included a nice extra of chips and salsa. The serving was huge, and filled my plate at home. Been eating at CV for years. Great flavors and reasonably priced drinks. Happy Hour and NFL Sundays are fantastic. Take a look at how clean that kitchen is where food comes out lighting fast. NO KARAOKE HERE! They quit doing it almost 2 YEARS ago, but their web, video and outside sign say it's here. The food here is slightly above Taco Bell for quality. The service is also unreliable. If you want karaoke and very good Mexican food, go ¼ mile south instead. We've tried this place many times, hoping it'll be better and have the entertainment. We've even talked to the managers about updating their promos. So it isn't like it was just a one time visit or that we didn't try to give positive feedback. read more

My favorite Mexican restaurant in town. The service and food are great. There is never a long wait to be seated or served. I eat there at least once a week. Their wings are amazing, the seafood dishes are fresh but the "El Patron" (Carne asada with bacon wrapped shrimp) is my favorite dish. I like to finish my meal with a sip of tequila. Last night we all decided, we wanted to try revisit our old friend Casa Vallarta. It's been a year since the last time because the food was so-so. I ordered two Cheese Enchiladas, and they arrived quickly but, cold on a hot plate, that tasted awful. The rice on the side looked like they made it for lunch, with a piece tomato hanging on for it's dear life. I'm not sure why, we had to ask for every little thing, when there were an abundance of employees floating around. It's pretty easy to see, when the cat is away the mice will play. My family has been coming to this restaurant for years and they have yet to disappoint. This is the place to come to not only share a meal but also for a great happy hour and karaoke. Everything on their menu is wonderful! Be prepared for a large portion too as they will certainly curb your appetite. The Huachinango is probably the best thing on the menu, in my opinion. Unless you're there on the weekend then try the menudo. Whatever you decide, you'll enjoy. Not only does this restaurant have the best Mexican food in Denver, their service is incredible. Each staff member is friendly and attentive. If you're at a crossroads on what to order, they're the ones to ask as they always have great suggestions.
