Our receipt- since wasn't sure what we got :)

My husband saw the cafe being featured on the morning news so have been curious. First time we went, was too late (5 minutes to closing and the place was closed). [[HIGHLIGHT]]Only outdoor seating available, most tables under umbrellas.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Store is small- food items, and baked goods in a few display cases.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Got our picks with tongs. Some were not labeled clearly though so we asked one of the staff behind the counter. She described them, was very helpful and pleasant. I missed one case with the pistachio corneto, so for next time. The bigne (cream puff) had good chocolate filling. The ciambella (donut) with the pearl-like bits we thought was hazelnut but was labeled as coconut on the receipt- didn't taste either flavor, sweet glaze though. The maritozzo is a sweet bun filled with whipped cream and ricotta. I liked this one, wasn't heavy and not so sweet. The cronut was dense, and was just topped with a small dollop of custard and strawberry piece. Our latte and iced coffee prices weren't bad. Went well with the sweet pastries. Maybe need milk, hot chocolate for non-coffee drinkers.

Hello everyone, I have added Casasalvo's photo of their menu as people have been inquiring about it. The phone number on yelp site no one answers. Because their baked goods are so good and fresh I recommend you go early in the day they sell out fast.

Ok cafe. The hot chocolate was just a packet one which was disappointing and not good. The chocolate cornetto wasn't full of cream like I thought and it was only ok. Service was nice.

This place is a NYC gem!! Freshly opened on the Upper West Side. The shop itself is tiny and easy to miss but make sure you step inside for big fl Owned by a very italian man who described the hot fresh croissants (made every 30 mins) as "orgasmic" but in italian. The best part is the coffee is $2.50!! And the flavoring tastes so fresh and natural. It feels yummy and homemade. The croissants are also $2.5 and i highly recommend the pistachio flavor. They're baked fresh every 30 mins. The best I've ever had.

Casa Salvo is the type of place that makes you want to sit down, slow down. I came in after a run, intending to pick up a coffee and pastry to go, but the inviting tables and umbrellas out front beckoned me to sit down and enjoy them slowly, savor them fresh. This store is so cute. Truffle salts, dried pastas, olive oils, packaged tiramisus, and spreadable pistachio paste are for sale, adorning the walls of the small store, with the coffee counter at the back. The clear pastry cases stacked with cornettos, bomboloni, eclairs are eye catching and colorful, topped with different flavors of pastry cream. They all look delicious. I opted for an iced coffee with almond milk and 2 pistachio cornetto (1 to go so my roommates could try it too!) and they were prepared quickly by the kind gentlemen working the counter. I was surprised, yet delighted, that my iced coffee came in a hot coffee cup, with a thick layer of cold foam on top. The prices are impressive here (my whole order was $10!) but the food and drink really stand on their own! My iced coffee was delicious with the thick foam. My only complaint was that it was too small - I will be getting a large (for only $3.50) next time. When I reached the end, I opened the lid and was able to scoop up the tasty foam to finish off my drink. What a wonderful surprise it was to find a layer of icy, slushy-like coffee hidden in this foam as well! So refreshing on a hot summer day. The cornetto was also amazing. The pistachio cream on top was sweet and creamy, and when I bit into the center, there was a hollowing with little bits of pistachio in a bruleed sugar cave. All finished with a dusting of powdered sugar snow. Casa Salvo is an amazing addition to the UWS! Excited for many more slow coffee dates here. It truly feels like you are in Italy.

Small Italian cafe with some products, selective baked goods and coffee. We had the cold espresso with iced almond milk from Sicily and the pistachio latte both were very refreshing. The premium grind we bought was darker than expected which I liked. Arrived too late for croissants but muffin filled with pistachio was well worth. The filling was delicious. Definitely worth a visit when you're on the upper west side. Next to purdy girl.

Was in Italy recently and had enjoyed a cappuccino and chocolate cornetto every morning and was craving for the same experience. Luckily Casasalvo opened up right in UWS! I'm able to get a little taste back here in the states! Overall pretty good cappuccino and cornetto and I feel like they should have a standing counter or table to complete the quick drink and go experience you get in Italy

Amazing pistachio and almond croissants and the pistachio cappuccino was fun. Prices cannot be beat for the quality.

A brand new Italian coffee shop and specialty market has opened on Amsterdam Avenue in the Upper West side and it's super cute and delish! The brain child of Chef Salvo Lo Castro, this cute little spot is specializing in $2.50 cappuccinos, pistachio croissants, and you can do a little specialty shopping while you're here. Attentive and quick service too!

Love this new Italian cafe located on Amsterdam between 82/83. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's in a slim little spot right next to Hi Life. You might miss it, if you didn't know it's there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The one thing that may make you stop and ask "what's this?" is the fact that the tables outside is always full.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They sell lots of Italian products and delicious coffee for extremely affordable prices. Their espresso/cappuccino/americano/latte is only $2.51+tax! Haven't tried their pastries yet but they look delicious.

Feels like I transported to a little cafe in Italy! The coffee is incredible- we had one of the best iced lattes we've had in the city, and the pastries are to do far- highly recommend the pistachio muffin and the lemon bombilini!

I have been here 3x and I haven't been disappointed. Friendly staff and the coffee's delicious....but wait I had the most delish cold pistachio Cappucino, it's like enjoying a delicious dessert not sweet but with a real pistachio flavor and refreshing also the mini donuts are very good! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Come over sit outside and enjoy your cup of coffee at this wonderful petite shop!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The owner invested in the beautiful chairs, table and umbrellas.

This space feels more like a full-service restaurant than a café. They offer a full menu featuring Georgian dishes, and my friend tried khachapuri for the first time and loved it. The server mixed the egg into the cheese tableside, which was a nice touch. I also noticed several people stopping in for an early dinner. Seating is comfortable but mostly communal, with long shared tables. My biggest issue here was the service, which unfortunately was very poor. Something as simple as getting sweetener for my tea required tracking down our waiter multiple times, and requests were repeatedly forgotten. My tea water even went cold while waiting. Despite the cute atmosphere, the service experience was frustrating enough that I don't think I'd return for a full meal.
