OMG! This is my first time to Gaylord, we celebrating our 22nd Anniversary and for the second day in a row, we have eaten the breakfast buffet at Cascades. One word, Delicious. They got everything you need. Scrambled Eggs, eggs cooked to order, egg Benedict, bacon, sausage, smoked salmon, pancakes, assorted fresh cooked bread, pastries, doughnuts, croissants, fruits, freshly squeezed orange juice, grits, oatmeal, assorted cereal, I got to stop. Y'all already know I can't eat all this food. But, the egg and cheese omelette with a little scallion, bowl of cheese grits, few slices of bacon and piece of toast I did have, delicious! And, it was complimentary. It went with our stay. Ambiance is divine. And, Sara, your first day service was Amazing. The second day we had Lucy and Ricky. Thank you Sara. Y'all already know, I'll be back.

Loved Cascades for their breakfast buffet AND dinner. The breakfast buffet was one of the largest spreads I've ever seen. You name it, they had it. The staff were friendly and kept our drinks refilled. We came back for dinner and my husband had a Wagyu burger with fries, I had a Cascades sushi roll, and we shared a hot shrimp appetizer. They also offered Diskin cider which is one of my favorites, so we had a few pints of those. Then, we got a cheesecake and a chocolate pie to-go for later. The chocolate pie was a delicious midnight snack! We did drop a pretty penny, but the food was good and we had no complaints.

This restaurant is one of the many inside The Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center. We dined here on a Saturday and no reservation needed as it wasn't really busy. This is also Cascades/Wasabi so they have limited sushi menu as well. We had the Roasted Chicken and Ribeye steak. The chicken was really tasty, skin was crisp. I just felt there should be more veggies on the side instead of a just a few slices of zucchini. The steak was cooked to our preference and was huge. Definitely for sharing. Service was quick and friendly. Happy tummy!

This restaurant occupies the prime location in the atrium of Gaylord Opryland Hotel. It is surrounded by lush greens, river, and you can hear the waterfall. In the restaurant there is a sub section Wasabi, the Japanese half. The service was very good. I had the Philadelphia roll and the unagi roll. The food is average but the ambience was incredible. I also love the Nashville larger

Even though I'm not a buffet kind of person, the breakfast buffet this morning was fantastic. From the maitre de station to the wait staff and the chefs are were friendly and enthusiastic. Of course the local views are fantastic, surrounded by the plants and waterfalls and fountains in the cascades atrium. There are a variety of different stations, including a freshly squeezed orange juice, station, a made to order omelette station, a pancake station, a ham carving station, a bagel and lox station... A fun treat. Not your average buffet. Come hungry.

Menu opens like a set of double doors.

Following our check in and taking a gander around the atrium bucolic splendor that is the Gaylord Opryland resort, we grabbed a late lunch at the Cascades American Cafe. Overall, the meal and cocktails was solid. We didn't wait too long for our food, which comprised splitting an entree and an appetizer. The cocktails overall were solid between the fruitier one I ordered second that was better than the banana bread old fashioned I initially had first. For food, the Nashville hot shrimp was delicious while the roasted lamb sandwich was very good. Price-wise, the meal wasn't too bad. The cocktails were more on the pricier side but that is par for the course when you stay at a hotel or resort. The ambiance was lovely as it was a sunny day when we went so the light coming through the atrium made the experience. The rocky, cave-like booth area was also cool.

Beautiful surroundings! We were seated quickly and food came out quick. We shared a grilled chicken sandwich and fries. The food portions were large. They also brought homemade chips to the table.

5/11/2022 Bucket list Road trip, Nashville Tennessee. Location Located inside the beautiful Gaylord Hotel and part of the Grand Old Opry House experience. Ambience 5/5 +++ Stunningly Beautiful setting, the Cascades Restaurant is one on many eateries under roof within this Galactic Hotel! Located under the glass canopy with amazing views of the Hotels balconies, water features including waterfall and lazy river pools. Tables are accessible by crossing a small footbridge. Menu 5/5 A wide selection is available from starters to chef prepared entrees. Both of us selected the grilled Ribeyes our pick whenever possible. Our stater was blackened cauliflower and dinner salad. The steaks were cooked perfectly medium rare. The cauliflower had a perfect char. Service 5/5 We enjoyed a main waiter who kept the dining area organized and table service attentive. This experience was our highlight before attending the performance at the Grand Ole Opry. A must do bucket list hotel and dining experience!

Good customer service! The restaurant is right in front of The Falls, with really nice view and cozy! Not a lot of choices in the menu, typical American dishes. Love the mushroom bisque though, but not so much of the potato salad, it's just an a okay.

Inside the Opryland Resort, in the beautiful atrium, listening to the waterfalls. Great service. I'm impressed at this resort by how they ask ahead of time for food allergies. Thank you! The cauliflower was excellent, had a nice spice kick. Chicken and rice soup was good. Hummus, he brought me gf bread along with the Naan. Our waiter was prompt, efficient and kind. The resort is decorated for Christmas and is lovely!

Kept it simple for dinner ordering the Mediterranean salad and salmon. Salmon was really small for the price but it was flavorful. Service was excellent as our waiter made several trips the table checking in my party. Atmosphere is amazing because of the resort layout. Overall average food but excellent service and surroundings. It is hotel restaurant however so just keep that in mind that it will be over priced.

Average sushi quality. Great lettuce wrap starter. Service was friendly and efficient. They were careful to note allergies and remembered our name. The food wasn't too much to rave about. The ambiance is superb though. This hotel is gorgeous with all the interior plants, water and stairways.

The service was a 10/10--truly superior. Our waitress was attentive, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain the menu and how almost everything could be ordered as shareable plates. The ambiance was also really nice and made it a great spot for trying several dishes and enjoying the evening. We ordered the plantains, duck tacos, sticky ribs, truffle mac & cheese, gnocchi, and crispy tuna. The STICKY RIBS were absolutely the star of the night! Crispy on the outside, moist and tender inside, plenty of meat, and packed with flavor. Oh my goodness...these alone are worth going back for! I already can't wait to have them again. The duck tacos were another favorite--well seasoned with a crispy wonton shell that gave them the perfect crunch. The crispy tuna was really tasty as well. The gnocchi had a little more sauce than I personally prefer, but it was still very good. The truffle mac & cheese was okay, but fairly average compared with some of the other dishes. The only dish I didn't enjoy was the plantains. They had a combination of sweet, salty, and a little spice that just didn't work for me. And don't skip the drinks! I had a frozen margarita that was DELICIOUS and the perfect addition to the meal. Overall, Kore was a great experience--from the service and atmosphere to several standout dishes. I'm definitely returning, especially for those sticky ribs! If you haven't tried Kore yet, add it to your Nashville list.

We were staying at an Airbnb in East Nashville recently and read about other's very positive…read moreexperiences at Kore so we decided to give it a try! :) Also because of recommendations, we made a reservation ahead of time! After some fairly lengthy confusion at the hostess stand, despite having had a confirmed reservation - it took quite a while for her to decide which table she wanted to give us out of the many open spots. She left us standing there, without explanation, to go put out the placements that seemed necessary to have set before we could sit, then finally came back to take us over to a spot - this didn't feel like a greatest start to the evening. It was very awkward. You know what they say, first impressions are important! Thankfully we were greeted by a very friendly waitress who was very knowledgeable about the menu, both food and drinks! She took great care of us throughout our meal. We dove in with drinks - A Sapporo, they have it on tap, and it's delicious! As well as an Old Fashioned! Both fantastic! It took us a little while to decide which food items we wanted to choose! This is a small plates restaurant so the options are numerous, they all sound so good!! We tried to pick at least one thing from of each category! We decided on the Kalbi dumplings, the Cauliflower, Kalbi Steak, the Crispy tuna, and Gochujang Mole. Every single dish was absolutely amazing and filled with the most rich, full flavors!! My absolute favorite was the crispy tuna! So delicious!! The mole dish - Chorizo, fingerling potato, red onion, red veined sorrel, crema was also next level exceptional! SO much flavor!! Something that was a little strange about our visit, and the reason for only giving 4 stars is this: We made our reservation off of the times offered by the restaurant. We chose 8:30 due to other things we had going on in our day - they offered as late as 8:45. This is the type of place that it's nice to work slowly through the menu and try a few dishes and then order a few more, etc... Unfortunately, right after we placed our initial order we were informed that we would need to have all of our food AND drink orders or refills in to the kitchen within the next 10 mins as the kitchen would be closing. This was too rushed and disappointing for what we were planning on for our dinner. We wished that the restaurant would have been more clear about this when we made the reservation, or at least when we first began perusing the menu. We did not have enough time for what we would have preferred and did not end up ordering any more food or drinks, as we definitely would have - however, what we did try was worth it! I would just HIGHLY suggest going earlier in the evening, much longer before they close!!

Loved the aesthetics of this place- very chic and modern looking. But the best part was our food. I had heard great things about the burger, and it did not disappoint. This was one of, if not the BEST burger I've ever had. It came out fairly quick, fresh and hot with melty cheese and the softest bun. There's layers of veggies and sauce which add so much flavor to the soft, melt-in-your-mouth bite. The only thing was the fries weren't my favorite. They were over seasoned in my opinion, and not super crispy. We were full at the end but the dessert menu looked really good, with specials like ube lava cake and panna cotta. I will be dreaming about that burger, and hopefully will make it back next time I'm in town for that burger or to try their brunch!

So when I knew we would be in Nashville, there were no questions: we were going to Maneet's! Mocking bird was the best choice for us as Indian food would not have been the best for our kids, and me as I can be a picky eater. Easily made reservation on-line. Heads up, no real street parking in the area so we had to park across the street in a parking garage (for a fee.) It was a Saturday night and the place was bleak! I couldn't believe it. There loss... The interior is meticulously decorated. Everything was very modern with some flare like the giant mirrored mocking bird protruding from the wall (super cool.) Sitting inside, you felt a little upscale. I tried a few things as there were 6 of us at the table. We started with Don't Worry, Brie Happy and Keepin' It Rio. The Brie bites were DELICIOUS!! I am still thinking of them 2 months later. I should have ordered this as my entree as well! The Rio, I could have done without. Squishy and lacked flavor for me. My cousin had Tot's El Tio Fun. Needed something. I thought it was a little dry. I did the trio. My choices: Brussels, fried rice and mac and cheese. I didn't realize these would be smaller than the original side version. The brussels needed more of a sauce. The rice- I wanted the egg on top but apparently this only happens when it is just the side. The mac and cheese was good. My friend raved over the Wedge between Us salad. My husband had the Bird Is The Word and has nothing but good things to say. Also, what a cute kids meal served in an only school microwaveable type of meal. I also felt I had to get a desert so the cookies it was and they were a little hard. My complaint- their website advertises the Happy Hour specials. They have it posted on the stalls in the bathroom. Nowhere does it say that you can only have the Happy Hour specials if you sit at the bar or outside. This made me upset! Advertise better. Be clear. Overall: the BRIE!!! True Score: 3.75

One of My Favorite Meals in Nashville…read more Whenever I travel for work, I make it a point to seek out authentic, locally loved restaurants instead of the usual chains. I first found Onda about a year ago during a previous trip to Nashville, and it's become one of those places I try to visit every time I'm back in town. Onda's name comes from the Korean word meaning "to come," and that's exactly how it feels. It's an inviting, modern Korean restaurant that celebrates traditional cuisine with thoughtful hospitality. The restaurant itself is beautiful--a bright glass-front corner space in Midtown that's clean, contemporary, and welcoming. Parking couldn't have been easier with a dedicated lot right across the street, and I believe they also offer outdoor seating, although on this rainy visit everyone was happily inside. My go-to is always the L.A. Kalbi, and Onda absolutely nails it. The marinated beef short ribs arrived sizzling over caramelized onions on a cast-iron platter, filling the table with that unmistakable sweet soy aroma. The meat was tender, beautifully caramelized, and pulled effortlessly from the bone. Every bite reminded me why this is one of my favorite Korean dishes. The meal came with a generous assortment of banchan, and honestly, those little side dishes are half the experience for me. The kimchi had just the right balance of tang and spice, the potatoes were comforting and delicious, the crisp pickled vegetables and radish added that refreshing bite that perfectly balanced the richness of the beef, and every little dish complemented the meal beautifully. The rice also deserves a mention. It wasn't plain white rice but a darker grain blend served piping hot in an adorable little copper bowl with its own lid. It's those thoughtful touches that make a meal memorable. I usually judge a Korean restaurant by two things: the quality of the kalbi and the banchan. Onda excels at both. Their menu also offers everything from japchae, bulgogi, seafood pancakes, tteokbokki, soft tofu stew, kalbitang, Korean fried chicken, kimchi fried rice, and traditional Korean barbecue favorites to creative dishes like kimchi arancini, plus cocktails, soju, makgeolli, and even milk bingsoo for dessert. What also stood out was the atmosphere. The dining room was filled with people who clearly knew and appreciated Korean food, which always gives me confidence that a restaurant is doing something right. The service was warm and welcoming, and checkout was quick and easy using a handheld payment app. Perhaps the biggest surprise? The value. Around the country, L.A. Kalbi often costs well over $35. Onda's was just $28, and the portion was generous enough that I couldn't even make room for dessert--even though I was eyeing the milk bingsoo and homemade madeleines. Nashville's food scene continues to impress me, and Onda has earned a permanent place on my list of must-visit restaurants whenever I'm in town. Life is too short not to eat well. If you love Korean food--or you're simply curious to explore it--put Onda on your list. I don't think you'll leave disappointed.

I added tempeh bacon and extra dressing on the side. (It didn't need the extra dressing though.) This salad is SO good! I had to force myself to put the fork down and not overeat. It's a large portion so you can share or save half for another day. (When doing this I recommend getting the dressings on the side to prevent soggy greens.) All of the ingredients tasted super fresh, and that Szechuan tofu was thoroughly marinated. Deliciousness! The tempeh (and at home avocado) that I added wasn't necessary but it sure was tasty. This salad is gluten free. SZECHUAN BRUSSELS I love me some roasted brussels sprouts so it was a must to try theirs. I added jalapeños and Hot Tempeh. I have no idea what Hot Tempeh is but I wanted to try it. Best decision ever. The dish itself is amazing. 10/10! The sprouts are saturated in the Szechuan sauce and spices, so every tender bite bursts with tantalizing flavors in your mouth. The Hot Tempeh is tempeh with a coating. It's quite delicious and it elevated an already soaring experience for me. The Szechuan Brussels dish is gluten free, but the Hot Tempeh is not (because of the breading). DUBAI CHOCOLATE CAKE Because I had to. It was NOT gluten free, but I risked it (I have a gluten sensitivity). They did have a gluten free chocolate cake and a gluten free brownie à la mode dish, but I needed that Dubai Chocolate. It was delicious. BLUEBERRY PANCAKES I ordered a single pancake, gluten free for $1 extra. So fluffy and buttery. You'd never guess it was gluten free or vegan. ROASTED POTATOES Excellent preparation and seasonings. MOCK TUNA MELT Gluten free when ordered as a bowl. It was served on a bed of spinach instead of bread. I omitted the cheese and tomatoes. It was very good and the chipotle sauce had a great kick. TRIPLE CHOCOLATE CAKE Gluten free. Rich. Delicious. Everything I ate here exceeded my expectations. Graze is sure to be one of my go to spots for delicious food when I'm in Nashville.
