OMG! This is my first time to Gaylord, we celebrating our 22nd Anniversary and for the second day in a row, we have eaten the breakfast buffet at Cascades. One word, Delicious. They got everything you need. Scrambled Eggs, eggs cooked to order, egg Benedict, bacon, sausage, smoked salmon, pancakes, assorted fresh cooked bread, pastries, doughnuts, croissants, fruits, freshly squeezed orange juice, grits, oatmeal, assorted cereal, I got to stop. Y'all already know I can't eat all this food. But, the egg and cheese omelette with a little scallion, bowl of cheese grits, few slices of bacon and piece of toast I did have, delicious! And, it was complimentary. It went with our stay. Ambiance is divine. And, Sara, your first day service was Amazing. The second day we had Lucy and Ricky. Thank you Sara. Y'all already know, I'll be back.

Loved Cascades for their breakfast buffet AND dinner. The breakfast buffet was one of the largest spreads I've ever seen. You name it, they had it. The staff were friendly and kept our drinks refilled. We came back for dinner and my husband had a Wagyu burger with fries, I had a Cascades sushi roll, and we shared a hot shrimp appetizer. They also offered Diskin cider which is one of my favorites, so we had a few pints of those. Then, we got a cheesecake and a chocolate pie to-go for later. The chocolate pie was a delicious midnight snack! We did drop a pretty penny, but the food was good and we had no complaints.

This restaurant is one of the many inside The Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center. We dined here on a Saturday and no reservation needed as it wasn't really busy. This is also Cascades/Wasabi so they have limited sushi menu as well. We had the Roasted Chicken and Ribeye steak. The chicken was really tasty, skin was crisp. I just felt there should be more veggies on the side instead of a just a few slices of zucchini. The steak was cooked to our preference and was huge. Definitely for sharing. Service was quick and friendly. Happy tummy!

This restaurant occupies the prime location in the atrium of Gaylord Opryland Hotel. It is surrounded by lush greens, river, and you can hear the waterfall. In the restaurant there is a sub section Wasabi, the Japanese half. The service was very good. I had the Philadelphia roll and the unagi roll. The food is average but the ambience was incredible. I also love the Nashville larger

Even though I'm not a buffet kind of person, the breakfast buffet this morning was fantastic. From the maitre de station to the wait staff and the chefs are were friendly and enthusiastic. Of course the local views are fantastic, surrounded by the plants and waterfalls and fountains in the cascades atrium. There are a variety of different stations, including a freshly squeezed orange juice, station, a made to order omelette station, a pancake station, a ham carving station, a bagel and lox station... A fun treat. Not your average buffet. Come hungry.

Menu opens like a set of double doors.

Following our check in and taking a gander around the atrium bucolic splendor that is the Gaylord Opryland resort, we grabbed a late lunch at the Cascades American Cafe. Overall, the meal and cocktails was solid. We didn't wait too long for our food, which comprised splitting an entree and an appetizer. The cocktails overall were solid between the fruitier one I ordered second that was better than the banana bread old fashioned I initially had first. For food, the Nashville hot shrimp was delicious while the roasted lamb sandwich was very good. Price-wise, the meal wasn't too bad. The cocktails were more on the pricier side but that is par for the course when you stay at a hotel or resort. The ambiance was lovely as it was a sunny day when we went so the light coming through the atrium made the experience. The rocky, cave-like booth area was also cool.

Beautiful surroundings! We were seated quickly and food came out quick. We shared a grilled chicken sandwich and fries. The food portions were large. They also brought homemade chips to the table.

5/11/2022 Bucket list Road trip, Nashville Tennessee. Location Located inside the beautiful Gaylord Hotel and part of the Grand Old Opry House experience. Ambience 5/5 +++ Stunningly Beautiful setting, the Cascades Restaurant is one on many eateries under roof within this Galactic Hotel! Located under the glass canopy with amazing views of the Hotels balconies, water features including waterfall and lazy river pools. Tables are accessible by crossing a small footbridge. Menu 5/5 A wide selection is available from starters to chef prepared entrees. Both of us selected the grilled Ribeyes our pick whenever possible. Our stater was blackened cauliflower and dinner salad. The steaks were cooked perfectly medium rare. The cauliflower had a perfect char. Service 5/5 We enjoyed a main waiter who kept the dining area organized and table service attentive. This experience was our highlight before attending the performance at the Grand Ole Opry. A must do bucket list hotel and dining experience!

Good customer service! The restaurant is right in front of The Falls, with really nice view and cozy! Not a lot of choices in the menu, typical American dishes. Love the mushroom bisque though, but not so much of the potato salad, it's just an a okay.

Inside the Opryland Resort, in the beautiful atrium, listening to the waterfalls. Great service. I'm impressed at this resort by how they ask ahead of time for food allergies. Thank you! The cauliflower was excellent, had a nice spice kick. Chicken and rice soup was good. Hummus, he brought me gf bread along with the Naan. Our waiter was prompt, efficient and kind. The resort is decorated for Christmas and is lovely!

Kept it simple for dinner ordering the Mediterranean salad and salmon. Salmon was really small for the price but it was flavorful. Service was excellent as our waiter made several trips the table checking in my party. Atmosphere is amazing because of the resort layout. Overall average food but excellent service and surroundings. It is hotel restaurant however so just keep that in mind that it will be over priced.

Average sushi quality. Great lettuce wrap starter. Service was friendly and efficient. They were careful to note allergies and remembered our name. The food wasn't too much to rave about. The ambiance is superb though. This hotel is gorgeous with all the interior plants, water and stairways.

The cooks were throwing down in that kitchen! Over a couple of days I tried a few things. SZECHUAN SALAD I got the Szechuan Salad with both kale and spinach. I added tempeh bacon and extra dressing on the side. (It didn't need the extra dressing though.) This salad is SO good! I had to force myself to put the fork down and not overeat. It's a large portion so you can share or save half for another day. (When doing this I recommend getting the dressings on the side to prevent soggy greens.) All of the ingredients tasted super fresh, and that Szechuan tofu was thoroughly marinated. Deliciousness! The tempeh (and at home avocado) that I added wasn't necessary but it sure was tasty. This salad is gluten free. SZECHUAN BRUSSELS I love me some roasted brussels sprouts so it was a must to try theirs. I added jalapeños and Hot Tempeh. I have no idea what Hot Tempeh is but I wanted to try it. Best decision ever. The dish itself is amazing. 10/10! The sprouts are saturated in the Szechuan sauce and spices, so every tender bite bursts with tantalizing flavors in your mouth. The Hot Tempeh is tempeh with a coating. It's quite delicious and it elevated an already soaring experience for me. The Szechuan Brussels dish is gluten free, but the Hot Tempeh is not (because of the breading). DUBAI CHOCOLATE CAKE Because I had to. It was NOT gluten free, but I risked it (I have a gluten sensitivity). They did have a gluten free chocolate cake and a gluten free brownie à la mode dish, but I needed that Dubai Chocolate. It was delicious. BLUEBERRY PANCAKES I ordered a single pancake, gluten free for $1 extra. So fluffy and buttery. You'd never guess it was gluten free or vegan. ROASTED POTATOES Excellent preparation and seasonings. MOCK TUNA MELT Gluten free when ordered as a bowl. It was served on a bed of spinach instead of bread. I omitted the cheese and tomatoes. It was very good and the chipotle sauce had a great kick. TRIPLE CHOCOLATE CAKE Gluten free. Rich. Delicious. Everything I ate here exceeded my expectations. Graze is sure to be one of my go to spots for delicious food when I'm in Nashville.

And it's a rare place that offers the elusive Chateaubriand steak. They even have four-pound loaded baked potatoes. And that's not to mention Nashville's most expensive dish, their signature $1,800 extravaganza for two including a tomahawk steak and a rare cognac. Harper's is undoubtedly a one-of-a-kind restaurant. The calamari is a highlight, a little salty for my taste but one of the best versions in town. The French onion soup is worth trying, its Havarti and Swiss combination beautifully finishing the top! Knowing the countless steak options were all solid choices, I stepped outside my comfort zone and tried elk for the first time since Harper's offers such exotic choices. And it was pretty good. The menu was extremely protein heavy. This really isn't the place for a vegetarian. Not sure it's even the place for anyone watching their diet. Lots of meat, lots of fried, lots of carbs. Our server came by shortly after we were seated. Overall, she did a good job considering the number of tables she had. I was intrigued by the crawfish cakes. Our server dissuaded me from these. I asked about the cod which she heartily endorsed. I ordered the cod, okra and baked potato. The plate also came with fries and hush puppies. My husband ordered the chopped steak, cowboy potatoes and a side salad. Our server brought a basket of corn fritters. While they looked like hush puppies covered in powdered sugar, they tasted like funnel cakes. By far the best part of the meal. My cod was far more breading than fish. I peeled the breading off to find not much more fish than is in a fish stick. The okra was food service quality. Skip it. The fries were soggy. The hush puppies were completely flavorless. The saving grace of the meal was the baker. Honestly, save some calories, save some money - don't order the cod. Since I was still a little enamored by the crawfish cakes, my husband ordered one as an addition to his meal. Our server was absolutely right, skip it. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the plating. The cake was about 3 inches wide. Served in the middle of a large dinner plate. We both found it amusing. My husband said his chopped steak was ok. The highlight being the mushrooms and onions topping the slab of hamburger. Likewise, the onions were the best part of the cowboy potatoes. The onion was not the highlight of the side salad. In this case, there were no highlights. The decor was DIY Bass Pro Shop. There is an attached ice cream shop if you want dessert. Parking was ample and service pretty good. Would we go back? No. Even if every other restaurant in town were packed? No. I'd probably just settle for a granola bar.

The venison was tender, perfectly cooked, and seasoned to perfection. Dessert was unforgettable. The chocolate mousse à la mode was rich yet light, paired with creamy vanilla ice cream and a hint of passion fruit. Three of us ordered that. We knew it would not be for sharing. The blueberry sundae featured the best blueberries we've ever tasted. And then there was the chocolate peanut butter brownie ice cream. As someone who's spent years trying chocolate peanut butter ice cream everywhere-from roadside shops to gelato in Italy-I can confidently say ETCH's version deserves to be considered one of the best in the world. The creamy chocolate and peanut butter, combined with rich brownie pieces, made it absolutely unforgettable. They have a relatively small entrée menu, and the entrées are definitely on the pricey side. However, they have a great selection of appetizers and smaller plates, which makes it easy to try a variety of dishes. I decided to go with the Chef's Choice option, where the chef decides what you eat. Honestly, I'm really glad I went with this because it allowed us to experience a wide variety of dishes without having to choose everything ourselves. We started with fried potatoes with green garlic chimichurri and whipped feta with dip. The whipped feta was absolutely amazing and one of the first highlights of the meal. We then received a couple of special bite-sized appetizers, including bacon-wrapped dates and beet falafel bites. The bacon-wrapped date was delicious, and the beet falafel was a fun and flavorful bite. The halibut sushi was good, but the real surprise for me was the avocado and crispy rice salad. This dish was absolutely out of this world! The crispy rice added an amazing texture, and the combination of flavors was fantastic. For the entrée, we had the house kebab platter, which came with house shishito peppers, fried okra, mushrooms, chicken and steak kebabs, along with a side of fermented pepper. There was a lot going on with this platter, and it was a great way to finish the savory part of the meal. We ended dinner with the peach and almond Malabi, which was delicious and a perfect way to finish the meal. Overall, Butcher & Bee completely lived up to my expectations. The Chef's Choice experience was definitely the right decision, especially for someone like me who loves trying different dishes. The food was creative, flavorful, and full of interesting combinations. The only thing to keep in mind is that the entrées can be quite expensive, but the smaller plates give you a chance to sample a lot of different flavors. Definitely make a reservation ahead of time because this place fills up quickly!
