This restaurant occupies the prime location in the atrium of Gaylord Opryland Hotel. It is surrounded by lush greens, river, and you can hear the waterfall. In the restaurant there is a sub section Wasabi, the Japanese half. The service was very good. I had the Philadelphia roll and the unagi roll. The food is average but the ambience was incredible. I also love the Nashville larger

Even though I'm not a buffet kind of person, the breakfast buffet this morning was fantastic. From the maitre de station to the wait staff and the chefs are were friendly and enthusiastic. Of course the local views are fantastic, surrounded by the plants and waterfalls and fountains in the cascades atrium. There are a variety of different stations, including a freshly squeezed orange juice, station, a made to order omelette station, a pancake station, a ham carving station, a bagel and lox station... A fun treat. Not your average buffet. Come hungry.

Menu opens like a set of double doors.

Following our check in and taking a gander around the atrium bucolic splendor that is the Gaylord Opryland resort, we grabbed a late lunch at the Cascades American Cafe. Overall, the meal and cocktails was solid. We didn't wait too long for our food, which comprised splitting an entree and an appetizer. The cocktails overall were solid between the fruitier one I ordered second that was better than the banana bread old fashioned I initially had first. For food, the Nashville hot shrimp was delicious while the roasted lamb sandwich was very good. Price-wise, the meal wasn't too bad. The cocktails were more on the pricier side but that is par for the course when you stay at a hotel or resort. The ambiance was lovely as it was a sunny day when we went so the light coming through the atrium made the experience. The rocky, cave-like booth area was also cool.

Beautiful surroundings! We were seated quickly and food came out quick. We shared a grilled chicken sandwich and fries. The food portions were large. They also brought homemade chips to the table.

5/11/2022 Bucket list Road trip, Nashville Tennessee. Location Located inside the beautiful Gaylord Hotel and part of the Grand Old Opry House experience. Ambience 5/5 +++ Stunningly Beautiful setting, the Cascades Restaurant is one on many eateries under roof within this Galactic Hotel! Located under the glass canopy with amazing views of the Hotels balconies, water features including waterfall and lazy river pools. Tables are accessible by crossing a small footbridge. Menu 5/5 A wide selection is available from starters to chef prepared entrees. Both of us selected the grilled Ribeyes our pick whenever possible. Our stater was blackened cauliflower and dinner salad. The steaks were cooked perfectly medium rare. The cauliflower had a perfect char. Service 5/5 We enjoyed a main waiter who kept the dining area organized and table service attentive. This experience was our highlight before attending the performance at the Grand Ole Opry. A must do bucket list hotel and dining experience!

Good customer service! The restaurant is right in front of The Falls, with really nice view and cozy! Not a lot of choices in the menu, typical American dishes. Love the mushroom bisque though, but not so much of the potato salad, it's just an a okay.

Inside the Opryland Resort, in the beautiful atrium, listening to the waterfalls. Great service. I'm impressed at this resort by how they ask ahead of time for food allergies. Thank you! The cauliflower was excellent, had a nice spice kick. Chicken and rice soup was good. Hummus, he brought me gf bread along with the Naan. Our waiter was prompt, efficient and kind. The resort is decorated for Christmas and is lovely!

Kept it simple for dinner ordering the Mediterranean salad and salmon. Salmon was really small for the price but it was flavorful. Service was excellent as our waiter made several trips the table checking in my party. Atmosphere is amazing because of the resort layout. Overall average food but excellent service and surroundings. It is hotel restaurant however so just keep that in mind that it will be over priced.

Ribeye. Nice presentation but the taste did not match

My husband and I stayed at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel so we ate there 3 times. First experience was the breakfast buffet. Phenomenal! Best grits I've ever had. The scrambled eggs were delicious along with the fresh squeezed orange juice. We were blown away by the quality. Second time was for lunch, I had the Nashville Hot Shrimp. It was very tasty and it had a little kick to it. My husband had the burger. Delicious! So for our last night we had to try the dinner. This is where the 3 stars come in. I had the sushi. Very basic and pretty tasteless. My husband had the ribeye. He had to send it back because it was over cooked but the steak was also tasteless. He said the green beans and the potatoes were just average. We were so disappointed with the amount of money we spent for dinner and what we received. If we are ever back in Nashville we would come back for the breakfast. The restaurant had a nice relaxing atmosphere with the sounds of the waterfalls and softly played music. The morning and day crew were awesome! Excited and it seemed that they wanted to be there. The dinner crew lacked friendliness and didn't carry the same energy that the earlier crew did. Big difference day and night with the food and the employees.

Average sushi quality. Great lettuce wrap starter. Service was friendly and efficient. They were careful to note allergies and remembered our name. The food wasn't too much to rave about. The ambiance is superb though. This hotel is gorgeous with all the interior plants, water and stairways.

Server was blah.. no House special speech, no welcome to Cascades ,no real personality.. that's fine as long as the food is good. Whelp why is this place so hit and miss for the prices you pay here. Biscuits were cold . sent them back once.Cracker Barrel level biscuits, Beverly Hill prices. Sushi was average ,My kid said Walmart sushi was better than its flavor,Ordered the asian chicken lettuce wraps.. lettuce was crisp, chicken tasted like chicken sans seasoning but they added pepper. Besides that the Ribeye was a tender great piece of meat unfortunately the cook doesn't know medium rare and I got a cold, cold inside ,Sent it back .. then got a Beautiful Ribey I could write home about..,We'll seasoned and cooked to perfection. The potatoes were hot , but just a lump of unseasoned mush ,,but pepper..they did add pepper.. boy did they add pepper. Asparagus was good after I sent it back for being cold. I know what i ordered i knew what i was going to pay but sending food back that many times was disappointing. The location and the views were beautiful unfortunately the food didnt match the ambiance. $400 LATER AND WE WERE STILL HUNGRY.. OVERALL A WTF I WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN MOMENT.

This cafe is inside of the Gaylord property which is huge and gorgeous. Nice atmosphere with water (waterfall included) and lush greenery all around. It can get pretty loud because of how echoey it gets plus the waterfall is quite loud, and place can be crowded if they have a conference or convention going on which they do frequently. Anyway the food was pretty okay, menu is rather limited and everything is priced a bit high, which is not a surprise for a hotel restaurant. Bonvoy elite members get free side of house chips with white bbq sauce (which is delicious but too thin/runny to be a dip for chips).

Now... if only I could remember where I am staying. LOL. Just kidding! I made it. I got so lit in Japanese whiskey flights that I ordered enough food for two people. The "Flight to Tokyo" lived up to its namesake tremendously. That dang whiskey is wicked man. Combined with the beers that go down like water and you may be like me.... Wasted Soup dumplings are so damn cool. It's also either an engineering marvel or some sort of biblical miracle. How is the soup born inside the little dumpling?? So many questions!! I had some here and they were sure tasty!! I also had some killer crispy fried pork belly and some kick ass twice fried Korean wings!! Pork belly had tremendous umami flavors and was sticky sweet and yummy all at once! Loved it! But then came the Star.... I love chicken wings as much as I love life! That my friend, is a whole fucking lot!! I am more full of myself than you could possibly imagine. I loved these particular chicken wings a little more than life. I walked through downtown Nashville alone, on a random weeknight, just to eat these wings because I saw them on Yelp. I had already eaten dinner at Eddie V's earlier in the evening, but these wings called me from more than a mile away... Come eat me, Adam.... Is all I could hear after I saw others pictures of the wings.... Shhhh. Wings. I can't. But you must, said the wings.... I can't, I have no transportation.... You have two feet still, the wings said... Guess who won that argument? '26 - 23

The ambience is bright and energetic, with fun neon signs and decor. The space feels open and spacious with plenty of seating. We started our night with the Pork Belly Bao Buns, but since they were out of pork belly, we tried the Chinese BBQ Pork instead. I wasn't upset because they were phenomenal. The Soup Dumplings were just as amazing, but the Roti Canai (Malaysian flatbreads with curry sauce) stole the show. The curry was rich with the perfect amount of spice. You're missing out if you skip the appetizers here. For my entrée, I ordered the Hong Kong Wonton Noodle Soup, and all I can say is wow. The broth and tender wontons were the perfect combination. My boyfriend loved his Pad Thai as well, and the only downside was the portion size for the price. I want to give a huge shoutout to our server, Jaylen, for making the experience top-notch. He was incredibly attentive, patient, and offered great recommendations through the night. Hawkers is on my list for date nights, ladies' nights, or a casual evening out (especially for drinks and appetizers!)

I had a power dinner with a friend who is coming into my business... it was his first time eating Korean food, and Onda blew him away ! We started with a seafood pancake, which we split ...absolutely delicious ~ with a nice dipping sauce on the side Drinks from the bar were very nicely prepared Then we moved on to the best Kalbi I have ever eaten in my life and I've eaten a lot of Kalbi even in LA!! They call it LA Kalbi here. Being a business dinner I sure wanted to impress so I also ordered a plate of beef, Bulgogi and spicy pork Bulgogi both ROCKED ~ all three meats came out on sizzling iron plates All of the sides were as good as anything I've ever had, including the kimchi, which was extra special This is a VERY Classy, upscale, wonderful Korean restaurant with food that is impossibly good ! The flavor was really well balanced! I had just the right amount of spice without being overwhelming, paired with a subtle sweetness that made it super enjoyable to keep eating. It came out on a sizzling plate, which not only kept everything hot but also added a nice touch to the presentation and overall experience. The portion size was very generous, which I always appreciate. I ended up having enough leftovers for lunch the next day, and it held up really well! The restaurant itself was clean and had a nice, comfortable atmosphere. Nothing over the top, but definitely a place you can sit down and enjoy your meal without feeling rushed. That said, the experience wasn't perfect. The side dishes were a bit limited compared to what I was expecting, especially if you're used to a wider variety. Service was also on the slower side. The staff was friendly and polite, but it did take a few attempts to get their attention when I needed a water refill or wanted a to-go box. It wasn't a dealbreaker, but it's something that could definitely be improved. Overall, I'd still recommend Onda if you're looking for flavorful Korean dishes and generous portions. Just be prepared for a more relaxed pace of service. I'd come back again, especially for that spicy pork bulgogi!
