This place is a gem. We were passing through and spent the night in Stamford. We went to Casey's based on the reviews we found on Yelp. We weren't disappointed. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was warm and the beer was cold. The showstopper, however, was the Irish Breakfast. The bangers and mash was terrific too. read more

I love having Casey's a block away from my house. I don't know that I would have ever noticed it or even gone to it given its inconspicuous location. The beer selection isn't the biggest I've seen but perfect selection for the kind of bar it is. They have darts and pool and cornhole when it's nice outside! I love that but has outdoor seating. So difficult to find that in Stamford! The staff is really nice and the foods pretty good- though I do feel like the foods a little overpriced. But it is yummy pub food. It's busy extremely frequently. But what else do you expect from a bar that features games and sports ? read more

Stopped on our way through Stanford due to prior yelpers reviews and the food was excellent. When we saw the building we were going to keep going as it was small and nobody was eating but we decided to give it a try. 2 got the chicken curry, 1 the Irish breakfast and 1 the curry chips and a toastie. Portions were good and food tasted great. Curry sauce was thick, the way we like it. My friend at my job kept on talking about this place and finally got me to go one night. Since then ive been hooked. Caseys is a real bar with real people. Their patio in the back is amazing for summer, and the staff is great. On fridays they have a DJ and the place gets pretty loud and transforms into more of a club atmosphere. Also, on Sundays they have Karaoke which is a little corny but fun when youve had a couple drinks. If they had a bit more of a beer selection this would be 5 stars for me easy. read more

This is just a block away from my place and best place to hangout. It just feels home with friendly bar tenders. Especially Bridget and Sameres. Safest bet when you are in confusion on where to go. Food is good. read more

Staying in Stamford for just 1 night and went by a Yelp review - great neighborhood spot. The shepherds pie is fantastic! Getting busier by the minute! Stop in if you are in the area! If we lived here, it would be a regular spot. read more

Casey's Tavern is a fun, low-key bar close to downtown. Casey's has all the makings of a good, solid establishment: two dart boards, a jukebox, and a pool table. The draft selection is great, and the bartenders have a heavy pour. The ambiance is causal, but the crowd is generally easy-going and enjoyable. Dress code is somewhere around jeans and a top; I wouldn't recommend heels or button-downs, nor gym clothes and cut-off tanks. I've only been after work (although quite a few times), so I'm not sure about the late night scene. During warmer months, be sure to hit the huge, gorgeous patio out back. read more

The honey mustard sauce is something special! Given it's bar food, I would suggest dipping everything in it. The beer battered fries and chicken tenders were scrumptious. We snagged a bucket of beers for $20 which will help as we watch the Steelers go down on one of their doc flat screens. Go Pats! read more

YES. I went here for the first time last night. The two guys behind the bar were super friendly, and service was great. We had our drink order in and beers in front of us within a few minutes. And the atmosphere is just right - not a sports bar but sports on, music playing, dark but not too dark, loud but not too loud... the perfect place to have a beer and a conversation. My dining companion had the reuben. He didn't say one thing or another about it, but he all but licked the plate so I assume it was okay! I had the sliders. The cheese was "cheddar," but definitely not real cheese. But I am totally willing to forgive them that. And the "tomato and onion topping" was tomatoes and onions chopped up in a dish. But that's okay, too. And the fries were awesome. Battered and hot and fresh-tasting. If it weren't for the fact that burgers aren't health food and my credit limit isn't infinite, I'd be here every night. read more

Great local pub with a back patio. Has it's regulars and the after work happy crowd. Try the Bob's chicken salad. Breaded Chicken breasts mozz and tomatoes with assorted greens. Best item on the menu. read more

Great little bar, stopped in on a Sunday night and have a few drinks and a Texas burger, nothing bad to say about it at all. Seamus was tending bar and made sure to stop in with me, obviously from out of the area, and talked for a bit. Definitely recommend to anyone. read more

Great service, generous pouring and to my surprise good food.

If you ever want to go to a good bar/pub.. this place is definitely NOT for you. HORRIBLE staff, if they don't know you they don't pay any attention, theres NO good bartenders, none of them (except one guy) even knows how to make drinks, half of them pull out their phone and look up the recipe right in front of you. On two different occasions the female bartenders were literally taking multiple shots on the job instead of taking peoples orders. NEVER going back. read more

Iv been here a couple times , I really like that I can get wasted, and everyone is wasted too ... Lol ... The bar tenders are really nice, they even call cabs for people who can't drive home, they have karaoke some nights, and dj most the time, and a music box other nights. read more

Nice place, low key, good food. We had sliders and calamari, both were pretty good for pub food.

Everything here is always great - good lunch specials and drinks and the staff is the best. The only real problem is the amount of flies hovering around me while sitting at the end of the bar eating lunch. Oh well. read more
