Cast Iron on 17th has delicious food. We were very happy with the serving sizes. Their bread is amazing, with just the right balance of crumb and crust. The atmosphere is strange and doesn't match the high-end food vibe. It feels like eating in a thrift store with mismatched knickknacks everywhere. Even your salt and pepper shakers on your table don't match. They were trying to be eclectic but it didn't quite work.

The food was decent, but honestly I didn't see the value for the cost. I've had better steaks elsewhere in town for half the price. The atmosphere is pretty cool, none of the glassware at our table matched and a few other oddities that made for a fun dining experience, mostly the company we were with.

Simply AMAZING. Their Pork Ribeye is to die for. The New York Strip was so good. The blackened garlic was so so good.

Food was expensive but was yummy. Our waitress was good and attentive. Not sure that it was worth the money - would be with lower prices.

The food is great; so is the service. A very good wine list along with craft cocktails complete the picture

The restaurant was clean, and the ambiance made for a great dining experience. The food was excellent, everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. You can definitely tell they take pride in the quality of their meals. The highlight of our visit was our waitress, Arianna. She was absolutely outstanding! She was friendly, professional, attentive, and incredibly fast without ever making us feel rushed. She checked on us often, made sure we had everything we needed, and genuinely made our dining experience even better. I hope Arianna's manager sees this because she deserves recognition for the exceptional customer service she provides. Employees like her are the reason customers keep coming back. I heard the other desserts were phenomenal and the steaks were great! - carrot soufflé: highly recommend as a side! Very creamy and tasty and sweet - Gumbo: Louisiana-inspired gumbo with chicken, sausage, & vegetables. It was fine, just had no seasonings which was very confusing for me - Boudin Balls: Our Louisiana-seasoned mixture of pork, Cajun spices, & rice. Served with mustard remoulade sauce. Same as above. Just didn't have the seasonings. A little Tony's would've gone a LONG way - Toasted S'mores Cheesecake: Graham cracker base, smooth chocolate cheesecake, and fluffy marshmallow whipped cream, finished with toasted marshmallow and graham cracker crumbs. Very tasty! Highly recommend this as well

Everyone was a big fan of the restaurant and had nothing but great things to say and recommend. We had the Noodle Salad and it was the best of that type of salad that we have ever had. Fellow customers were getting huge, delicious burgers, which we later found out were actually the smaller ones! Others praised the steaks and prime rib, which we plan on trying tonight (yup, we're going back right away). Last, but not least, the staff were very friendly, and the most pleasant surprise was our bartender, Jordyn. Great drinks, great attitude, great recommendations - look out Jordyn, we're coming back to see you!

It's the perfect spot for hearty, traditional Midwestern comfort food. After all, how can you visit Potato Country without enjoying at least one perfectly baked potato? A little fun (and mostly useless) fact: Potatoes are typically harvested once a year in the fall and stored in underground bunkers. The ones you usually buy in stores are often nearly a year old. And if a potato starts to sprout? It simply becomes part of the next season's crop. The moment you walk in, it feels like stepping into a time machine. The interior is warm and cozy, with darker tones, rich red accents, wood-paneled walls, and glass partitions. There's even a mud room and a coat rack ready for those chilly Idaho winter nights. We were greeted and seated almost immediately. Our server introduced herself right away and took our drink orders with a smile. I went with the Ultimate Philly--tender, well-done strips of their famous prime rib, grilled onions and peppers, all smothered in a rich cheese sauce. It came with a side of au jus for dipping and your choice of side. I couldn't resist ordering the Jaker's Baker, a massive Idaho potato loaded with all the toppings. The prime rib was flavorful and juicy, and the baked potato was hearty and satisfying--the ultimate classic meat-and-potatoes meal. When I travel, I love experiencing local flavor, and Jakers delivers exactly that.

Rubbing alcohol and numb tinge two drinks in a row then I cancelled the drink it was terrible. Our appetizer was the calamari fries and cheese curds which was a 50/50. The cheese curds are good but calamari fries are not anything more than a handful of frozen calamari with cocktail sauce. For dinner we ordered the steak and coconut shrimp medium cook with man n cheese and asparagus. I'm not happy much. The coconut shrimp was great but the steak was terrible. It was tough and over cooked. Seared with a hard grill mark of burned taste. The man n cheese taste like they boiled it in broccoli water... or it was next to some but idk. The asparagus was good but hung over and was touching the tray and table when placed on the table so not sure what else it was touching in the kitchen. All in all $140 later I am not happy at all. Our poor waitress was unsure if we were going to say something about another thing so she was hesitant to come back. One Dr Pepper for my whole meal. Yes we still tipped her $21 dollars and know the drinks and food wasn't her fault.
