We love Cast Iron Waffles! Some of the best waffles I have ever had! Service is always good and foot is always great!

The waffle selection was easy to follow, and they tasted great! The latte was kinda bland, but the atmosphere was nice and clean. I would go again.

The Lemon Blueberry was my favorite waffle!

I great little meeting spot that felt cozy, I liked the waffle and all the varieties to choose from but, the star of everything for me was the buttery maple syrup!! The staff were all delightful, I would definitely go back!!

As someone who just got back from a trip to Belgium I can say these are legit. It's like I'm back in the streets of Brussels. The staff is super friendly and the coffee was great. Would recommend.

Best waffles I've had in a long time! It's a small place, but if you're in the area, it's worth trying at least once. I had the Cinnamon Roll Waffle (Belgian waffle topped with vanilla buttercream and brown sugar/cinnamon mix, $5.75), which is one of their specialty waffles. It was incredibly fluffy, moist, sweet, and full of deliciousness. It did feel like being served from a food truck when it arrived in a small paper container rather than a plate (and the prices resemble that of a food truck too). Don't expect the whole restaurant experience - you order at the front, seat yourself, your food is brought to your table, and then you clean after yourself. But don't judge it solely by its simplicity; the waffles are pretty good!

If you're looking for a place to indulge your sweet tooth, Cast Iron Waffles is a must-visit spot! I visited last August with my family and had a lovely experience. We sat outside on a beautiful day and enjoyed the sun with our waffles. We ordered two of their deluxes, one with berries and cream, and a sticky bun deluxe. The waffles were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, with just the right amount of sweetness. + a nice variety of toppings Friendly service from the staff, they made sure we had everything we needed and genuinely wanted to make our visit a good one. In short, if you're looking for a place to indulge in some great Belgian waffles, look no further than here.

Hidden gem tucked into Marvin rd, Cast Iron waffles provides decadent gourmet waffles from friendly staff in a quiet neighborhood, with ample seating inside and out. These waffles are delicious and on the sweet side in most variations, so I paired a lumberjack which has a savory salty flavor thanks to the bacon with a coffee without any cream to balance it out. I tried the deluxe waffle as well and for me, it was a bit too sweet but I had no complaints from the family. The smoothies are also great, though a bit sugary. There are plenty of items, but given the nature your basically eating doughnuts for breakfast. I had one waffle and finished the second half of another that my child didn't want, and I'll say that was too much sugar for me. In the future I'll split a waffle and only have half. I walked around the peaceful neighborhood to burn off some extra energy. While anyone could easily eat an entire waffle alone, I'd be hard pressed to recommend it. Splitting one with a friend is definitely the way to go. There's plenty of seating inside and out, lined along the window so you get a sunny view, outside there are two nooks with tables that will keep you out of the wind and in full view of the sun, so even on a cold day you can enjoy the outdoors comfortably. The area is quiet and though the road is nearby the traffic is not noticeable. Overall it's a great area. Being in a neighborhood the parking in front is slim, but there is a parking lot across the road. Part of it is open parking and park has signs for towing, I didn't risk it (even on a Sunday) and figure it's best not to tempt, so pay attention to the signage. I loved visiting this small local business and will definitely be returning here regularly as a family treat.

One thing I always struggle with in Nashville is that they tend to run out of donuts and drinks pretty early in the day. Even by late afternoon, there are very few options left. That wasn't the case here. When I visited, they still had a great selection of donuts available, which made the experience much more enjoyable. I finally got the chance to try their lattes, and they did not disappoint. The Banana Bread Latte was one of the best specialty lattes I've had--rich, comforting, and full of flavor. The Café con Leche was equally impressive and absolutely delicious. The donuts were just as fresh and delicious as always, and having plenty of options to choose from made the visit even better. Overall, this location exceeded my expectations. I only wish the Nashville stores would stock more throughout the day so customers can enjoy the same experience. The meal started off with an iced rosemary lavender latte crafted with their in house syrup made with cane sugar and fresh herbs. Rosemary and coffee has been a revelation to my palate and I'll be back for this alone. Which I will happily enjoy in this comfortable and cute dining area. Breakfast was made to order from fresh ingredients, piping hot and intentionally seasoned. As their bright and cheerful owner puts it, the main ingredient is love. And trust me, you can taste it. This is the first time in my two decades of eating tofu that I can actually shoutout how delicious it is. And the aromas coming of this photogenic waffle were mouthwatering. While Charlotte has become over run with corporate and copy cat restaurants, it is truly a thing of comfort to enjoy a delicious meal made by good people that care not only about what's on the plate, but who is eating from it. 6 stars

We didn't wait for too long for the table as people were just leaving. It took a bit for the waiter to come to our table and took even longer for him to get our food orders in, which we noticed he got the food orders in for the other tables with people who came in after us. This then lead them to getting their food before ours. I ordered the breakfast combo which came with 2 eggs, bacon, and waffle. I was a bit surprised that this place didn't have any chicken or turkey protein side options as I've seen is common with brunch places. I also got my eggs scrambled which, as you can see by the picture, came out as an omelette. When asking the worker about the confusion, he doubled down on it being scrambled eggs and even gossiped to his coworker about it as well. Upon the unfair wait and the egg situation, I will not be returning here again.

It was our first time visiting Charlotte, and after seeing that the shop was open until 11:00 p.m., we figured it would be the perfect way to end the evening. We arrived just a few minutes before closing, but since we only planned to order a couple of scoops of gelato, we expected to be in and out quickly. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the moment we walked in. Rather than greeting us or welcoming us, the employee immediately said, "Hey guys, by the way, we close in two minutes." There was no hello or friendly interaction. As we ordered, one member of our party asked to sample a couple of flavors, and the employee seemed visibly inconvenienced. When I asked if they had caramel drizzle, her response was simply, "No," with no warmth or attempt to offer an alternative. I completely understand that arriving close to closing can be frustrating for employees, and we were mindful of the time. However, the doors were still open, the posted business hours indicated the shop was open until 11:00 p.m., and we were respectful customers who knew what we wanted and intended to order quickly. What was most disappointing wasn't that they were closing soon--it was how unwelcome we were made to feel. As first-time visitors to Charlotte and Ballantyne, this wasn't the hospitality we expected. Customer service matters just as much during the last few minutes of business as it does throughout the rest of the day. I hope this feedback is taken as an opportunity to remind staff that every customer deserves to feel welcomed, regardless of when they walk through the door during posted business hours.
