The lady that first had to go to the front for something else may not have seemed the friendliest but our server was really nice and prompt. We'd been driving for several hours and had many more to go when we stopped nearby for gas and to take a break in general. I figured we were near the beach and wanted to get some seafood. After looking at a few places I came back to this one because the menu looked good. It's not the newest but it's a nice restaurant, plenty of seating. The prices and portions are good. The chowder was nice and thick with a good flavor. We did go for fried foods which were kind of greasy, but also really golden and delicious. We enjoyed what we could before getting back on the road, and we enjoyed the rest later from the air fryer. Glad we stopped in here. Friendly service and solid food.

Really great happy hour menu 3-6pm Monday to Friday. The portions are big. The service was fast and food was good. They had fish tacos that were gluten free.

Oh yeah! Our first night in Oregon and the seafood did not disappoint! Fish tacos, fish and chips, fresh fish, and steamer clams hit the spot! Hungry after a day in the road checking out waterfall after waterfall, we were famished. What a great way to start an Oregon coast trip! One of my favorite meals on this 2 week trip! It made us feel welcome to Oregon!

Easy parking. Very friendly and quick service. We had the clam chowder in a sourdough bowl topped with crab and the crab French roll. Both delicious. I like that they put the crab on the side for the chowder topper allowing you to add a little or a lot per spoon. The place is small and cozy. It was pretty busy when we came but no wait time

Most delicious, fresh caught seafood. Rockfish and Dungeness crab are in season and that's what we ordered up. I recommend the crab tacos with salsa because they are so delicious. The grilled rock fish was a little crunchy on the outside, very scrumptious, and moist inside with mashed potatoes and butter floating in the middle madhec hole. I'm talking Yum Yum! We substituted asparagus for the veggies, that was nice of the cooks. Great service. Nice video Location seeing at the bar, dining area and a really nice patio outside. Family own fishing boat, catching and serving up local and seasonal seafood to their restaurant on the marina.

2 chowders, 1 fish and chips, 1 shrimp and chips....everything was amazing! Some of the best clam chowder we've ever had!

My boyfriend and I stopped by for dinner on a Saturday evening, hungry and excited to try some delicious seafood. We were told it would be 25 minutes to be seated and we decided to wait since the reviews were glowing. We weren't seated until 45 minutes later. If we knew it would have taken that long, we would have just gone somewhere else. Finally, we were seated at a table next to a large party. We felt pretty neglected by our server the whole evening because she was busy taking care of them. It was hard to get anyone's attention to order and get drink refills. The Fish and Chips were not very crispy, but the dish was delicious and fresh. The fries were absolutely mouthwatering. We also tried the Popcorn Shrimp and really liked it. For the most part, the food held up to the hype! I just wish I could say the same for the service.

Seafood along the harbor -- Catalyst is a popular place, and deservedly so. I had fried oysters with clam chowder (substituted for fries), and finished off with lemon-blueberry cheesecake. It was all good. There's a front dining room (ok) and an inner bar (much more desirable, sought after by the locals) ... and it can get busy. Catalyst isn't fancy, but it's solid and friendly, and fairly reasonably priced. It's worth a visit -- just beware that others may have the same idea.

Assistance + Balance + Cleanliness + Deliciousness + Environment + Service is wonderful, prompt, friendly, open to questions (asked to buy a bread bowl as a side they figured out how to do it). Food price to quantity perfectly balanced! Restaurant and restrooms were clean and tidy. The food is amazing, fresh, delicious, can't say enough about it! The atmosphere/environment is nautical, relaxed, shanty like, but clean and orderly, like a well maintained vessel! Third time here and 3/3 no fails at all. Absolutely love them!

You were AWESOME…read more I've been coming to Pacific Sushi in Brookings for many years now and it never disappoints. Not only is it the best Sushi restaurant on the Northern California, Southern Oregon coast, it's the best restaurant, PERIOD! A Saturday night on a holiday weekend and there was a line, but LUCKY for me there was an opening at the Sushi Bar (Kelly reference). I sat down and order the house hot Saki and some edamame. Just the salted this time not the incredibly delicious Spicy Edamame. I'm like a broken record here and almost always order the same thing when I come. For the nigiri I had some ebi, hamachi and maguru. All fresh, all tasty, all perfect! I also appreciate the size and would call it my favorite. Comfortable but nice sized one-bite pieces. This is where I lost my mind. I don't believe I have been here without ordering the Redwood Roll, yet somehow out of my mouth came Rainbow Roll ‍ I forgot how good it was, and turned out to be pleasantly surprised. Kelly said she would try to read my mind next time so I wouldn't make the mistake. Coming here with my now twenty something kids and my awesome EX, has allowed me to take pretty much everything on the menu, and I promise, you will NEVER be disappointed. Right on the main drag in downtown Brookings, It has an undeniable charm on the outside but once inside, you're enveloped by the warmth of the dark wood and the "not bright" lighting that sets an immediate mood. The main dining room is cozy and the bar area even homier. And yes you can gamble if you want to. On a side note the bar and the drinks that flow out of it are divine! Their creativity shines here as well. The service is always exceptional, and tonight was no exception! If I say any more, Kelly will think I have a crush (maybe? ) Thank you very much for making my 5 Star meal just that much more enjoyable. Here for two more days and thinking I have no other option but to make Pacific Sushi my Monday destination. Cheers, JimG

He enjoyed the Redwood and Rogue rolls. Next time I *won't* order the Nature Nugget roll (which is listed with different ingredients on their website than their in-restaurant menu). It tasted like Lysol, presumably from the citrus ponzu? That was a tough swallow. I'd still return for that tofu, though. We were seated right away, arriving around 8pm on a Saturday night, with several other guests already seated. The lighting was low and decor was pleasing for a small town coastal sushi joint. The tomodachi was on point and our waitress was attentive and pleasant!

They make their own vodka and it's quite nice. Do yourself a favor and try any of the Superfly specials with it, they'll surprise you. They do have a food menu, but it's a martini bar first and restaurant second. The food was pretty decent, but the knife work, plating and ratios showed the experience behind the stove. I was pleasantly surprised when I was told I could order fish tacos even though it wasn't on the menu. I love a good grilled fish taco so I went for it. The fish was perfectly cooked and seasoned well, the green and orange sauces were good if a little too mild, and the tortillas were the right style but not grilled quite enough. Also, there was very little cilantro or onion and almost no cabbage so they weren't as filling as I would have liked. My wife had the Katsu Chicken Salad. It arrived plated like it was deconstructed: the katsu on a bed of lettuce greens with very thick slices of vegetables around around the plate and the dressing on the side. It was odd, clunky and the katsu was under seasoned. The peanut dressing was divine though, my wife said she could have drank that like milk. There are some other dishes I'd like to try and their drinks were fantastic so we'll definitely try them again.

Super disappointing brunch service this morning. Not sure what was going on in the kitchen but the…read morewait time was a little ridiculous for simple breakfast food and considering the place was only about half to two thirds full at the time. It was at least 40 minutes from the time we ordered to the time our food started showing up and, for whatever reason, our French toast kabob appetizer didn't come out until the rest of our mains. The bigger problem was the Irish Filler. Of the two strips of bacon it came with, one was overcooked to the point of being brittle and hard to chew, while the other was way undercooked so the fat had just barely started to render and had that sort of gross gelatinous texture. On top of that, I had to send it back twice because it was missing the gravy and the corned beef; both of which are standard ingredients included in the base recipe. Our server was very apologetic and was quick to return to the kitchen for the missing ingredients. Unfortunately, when the dish was complete I dug in only to find the entire thing lukewarm to the point that the cheese hadn't even melted over the potatoes in the bottom of the bowl. By that point I just wanted something in my stomach so I just sort of picked at it until I was no longer starving, but I didn't even bother with a box for the leftovers. To be fair, the Top o' the Mornin' omelette and the breakfast burrito with sausage were really good; generous portions and cooked well. But I feel like when your brunch menu only consists of like ten items to begin with, you should probably excel at all ten of those items. Hopefully this was just a one-off and not indicative of their usual quality but with a variety of other local places to choose from, I can't say for certain that I'll be trying my luck here again.
