Everything is amazing here! Sooo many yummy food choices (traditional Irish choices too), craft cocktails, cold beer and it's a steakhouse with an Irish soul! The staff is super attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lunch/dinner is relaxing and the nightlight beats the pants off Keenan's or other clubs in the Wildwoods![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Saturday nights, always the Flipping Mickey's Band and something happening each night during season! Awesome band![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The food is just as bad as the owners attitude, Just read his responses to reviews people left on Google. We got a few beers, some Irish Nachos and our meals which were BLT Chicken & a blue cheese bacon burger. Chicken was over cooked, thin and dry. Burger was gray and gross. Regardless of the size of the patties. I guess he's ok just selling cold beer. You would think a business owner would be professional enough knowing reviews are what brings people in and not all of them will be good or what he wants to hear. The arrogance he displayed when responding to mine as well as others was laughable. Maybe he should be a little appreciative of those that spend money and those that have spent money even if it was only 1 time. Much better places on the Island to try.

I came here for some food and a drink, but when I saw the bartender not wearing a mask I only ordered a drink and left. I would have stayed for food if he was masked. The food looked great. My drink was great and came quickly. The outdoor bar is open. They have outdoor and patio seating. One waitress was wearing a mask, but it didn't cover much.

Great Irish bar on Pacific Ave in Olde downtown Wildwood! Nothing fancy, just a fun, loud bar serving cold beer, shots & great bar food! Huge appetizers & tasty sandwiches. The bartenders & servers are great! The infamous Johnny Gun is now performing on Saturday afternoons! If you are looking for a fun afternoon off the beach....it's the spot!

Got the tomahawk special, Irish surf and turf, and kids Mac and cheese. Also got the mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. Everything was unreal. Steak was perfectly cooked and feed two people. The kids Mac and cheese isn't boxed...it's not a cheap sauce either...very tasty. The fish batter was so flavorful and the Sheppard's pie was also good. The mozzarella sticks were absolutely incredible. The breading was seasoned very well, cheese was creamy and wasn't just a cheese stick. Sauce that came with them was great. Overall a fantastic meal...we will make this a wildwood tradition every summer. Also have to add...best fries in Wildwood.

I was one of the only people here on a nasty weather Friday in the off-season, but there were a solid 20 people by the time I left. Spoke with the owner, who was just a super nice, down to earth guy. Bartender was attentive and let me try a sample of a beer before ordering it to make sure I was feeling it. Menu had a ton of good stuff, but went with the corned beef and cabbage spring rolls given its an Irish pub. My picture sucks but those spring rolls were awesome. Even the mashed potatoes you could tell were home made. Awesome app. Definitely wanna try more food from here but it was a solo trip and I wasn't starving. From what I can tell tho - better than average bar food and better than average beer selection. Glad I finally checked this bar out.

When the chef at the Wagon Wheel arrived at work this afternoon, God averted his gaze. Being…read moreomniscient, he knew what was coming -- but even his omnipotence wasn't enough to prevent the culinary mortal sin that was inflicted upon our unsuspecting party of five this Tuesday afternoon. But wait, I'm getting ahead of myself. Eating at the Wagon Wheel is an experience, insofar as stubbing your toe is an experience, or contracting leprosy is an experience. Not all experiences are made equal, and some you actively hope to repress the memory of. Such was this. Let's start with the food. I ordered the steak and shrimp. I expected a juicy, tender piece of New York strip, cooked rare. Instead, I got an under-seasoned, over-cooked piece of desiccated shoe leather. As for the shrimp, if you bought a $5 slingshot from the boardwalk, you could easily repurpose them as a highly-effective crowd control weapon -- if not for those pesky Geneva Conventions, that is. Others in my party fared no better. My father-in-law received a pile of dry, chewy ribs that were so over-salted, they seemed almost designed to provoke renal failure. My wife got a hamburger that, she said, made her feel like she swallowed the contents of a cement mixer. In many respects, she wishes she did -- it certainly would be, gastronomically speaking, a step up from the Wagon Wheel. My brother-in-law and mother-in-law both ordered the steak -- although they had the presence of mind to avoid the shrimp, which, I add, were a sixteen-dollar surcharge. Sixteen fucking dollars, for four "jumbo" shrimp that were neither jumbo, nor edible. I'm still bitter about that. Oh yes, their steaks. The medium-rare one was overcooked, and the well done one was undercooked. Now, look: I appreciate the staff at the Wagon Wheel are used to only hearing the words "well done" with a sarcastic tone, like when a puppy shits outside of the house for the first time, but how do you screw up a well done steak? You just cook the fucker until it has the same consistency as the sliced up Doc Martens we were served. Everything came with a side of baked potatoes -- which, if they were originally baked this year, I would be stunned -- and a thimble of over-boiled broccoli that looked as lethargic and unhealthy as those in our party that finished their meals. Remember when I said that eating at the Wagon Wheel was an experience? It was one that our servers seemed determined to drag out, serving members of our party at random times, and with massive gaps between each person. The time between the arrival of the first plate and the last was, easily, about twenty minutes. Whoever said that "good things come to those who wait" was a liar. And this, I add, was at a time when the restaurant was as crowded as Jeffrey Epstein's funeral. In many respects, it almost felt like a piece of cruel performance art, with the restaurant serving over-salted food designed to sap the moisture out of you, but not actually coming round to take a drink order. I've rambled. I'm sorry. Let me wrap this up: The Wagon Wheel really is unmitigated bum.
