First time at this restaurant. Was in the area for an event and came here since it was close and looked good. Excellent salad bar! I was so excited as soon as I walked in to see a delicious salad bar! We had top sirloins for lunch with salad bar. My steak was cooked perfect, my friends was way undercooked. We both ordered medium. It's always disappointing when you go to a STEAKhouse and they can't nail a medium steak. I think it's a common standard order. ‍ happens often though. I think this place is ok, it's like an old reliable not great but also not bad. The salad bar is good and the menu items are fine. I will say the don't offer a lot of gluten free options so if you need that this might be a pass. I had one unpleasant experience here when a waitress argued with me over what I ordered. I went early to beat the crowd. Receptionist said she could seat me at the bar. I told her I could not sit at a barstool, and she again only offered a barstool. Tried to order take out here on a very empty Tuesday evening. Not only did it take them 55 minutes to make our order, when they said it would take 20, but when we got it, it was completely incorrect. We did not get to eat dinner and wasted an hour of our time. I was also hung up on the first time I tried to order. This was one of my worst takeout experiences ever. Do not go here. This was my first time at Cattleman's Roadhouse and I am very pleased with my food. On Sundays the salad bar is included with a list of meals. My family each ordered from that menu which included the salad bar at no additional cost, usually a extra 2.99 with a meal. Our meals also included one side item and two of us orders the fries as our side item. My entree was a 6oz sirloin steak which I ordered medium and it was cooked perfectly. My husband ordered the country fried steak with mashed potatoes as his side item. My son ordered the chicken tenders and they were really large. We were all filled up by the meal. The Pepsi was 2.99, and two of the meals were 11.99 with the sirloin meal being 12.99. It seems like a good value for the meals and if you just wanted to eat salad bar you could take your entree home. I would comeback again if in this area! read more

Horrible experience. Walked in on 8/26 at around 8:30 pm and was able to sit at the bar. Waited for a minimum of 10 minutes and the female bartender didn't even acknowledge us. We left. Saw the manage on the way out and told him what happed and he asked if we wanted to come back and I said no. See you. We went to Texas Roadhouse down the road. Never again. Quick to order & refill tea & water, friendly & asked if we'd like to order the salad bar w/ our entree for $2.99 so she was thorough. We ordered the 6oz Steak which was smothered w/ some sauce, fried onions, baked potato, Frisco Melt & Fried Chicken Wrap. Not that great. My lettuce was totally soggy. The steak was ruined my so much junk on it & the melt was greasy. No plans to go back. Lots of bar regulars so that's a hang out which the bar area is nice to hang at for that reason. Our hotel next door highly recommended this over Cracker Barrel. Our waitress was Ronicia. SUPER SERVER! Margaritas were fabulous. I ordered the salmon- hubby sirloin. Literally melt in your mouth. I've never had salmon where it's literally juicy inside it was SO good. The rolls were hot & fresh. Hubby had loaded mashed potatoes- they had cream cheese in them as well! Delicious. Waitress loved my husbands T shirt, so he hit her address & will mail her one( that's what he does ) ASAP always say a prayer (is what it said) our server was super sweet & very personable. Food was top notch. A guy came over to table, I'm thinking the manager n wanted to know how the first steak bite n salmon were. We told him we were from Iowa- first time here. Met with friends here for lunch. They had ribs with a baked potato and a burger. Both were very good and cooked perfectly. My Bestie has the Friday Special, a 6oz sirloin with a sweet potato side. The steak was very small, it didn't appear to even be 6 oz. My chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, though it was hot and very tasty, it just couldn't compare to one I got in Kansas from a place called Carriage Crossing, an Amish restaurant. It didn't even compare to one I got when I rode Amtrak cross country a few years ago. Plus it was served with dry mashed potatoes. It would have been good with a splash of that gravy on the potatoes and a veggie of some kind. Overall the server was excellent and food was good. We will go back. read more

Was a little concerned with no price listed for the special but it was only $15.99. The yeast rolls where the best especially with the cinnamon butter. Our waitress was fantastic with bringing drinks. My biggest concern is I ordered a medium steak and it came out well done. A bit of a surprise as this is a steak house. We really wanted to enjoy our first time at Cattleman's. So, it was Sweetest Day night, so it was very busy, which may explain some issues. We waited the 30 minutes as expected to be seated. We ordered the fried tobacco onions for an appetizer, it was disappointing, greasy snd 1/2 was slimy. Then the salad bar, 4 containers on the bar were empty. We then waited 35 minutes after the salad bar for our mains. I got the 6oz special with the bourbon sauce, because we were in bourbon country. The sauce is so sweet that is all you taste. I ordered a Knob Creek Old Fashioned cocktail, nope they were out of bitters and then the drink wasn't removed from the bill until I reminded the waitress that I never got it. My wife ordered the chopped steak dinner, a big hamburger without a bun. She ordered it well well done. She got the patty and it was 1/2 well done and the other 1/2 was medium. How?? First time at Cattlemans. Did I mention last time? You all know me and I do a lot of reviews and I'm usually very good and honest and give credit where credit's due but unfortunately can't see a lot of credit being do here. Ordered SWest Egg rolls but didn't get them because the Distributor didn't send. I believe in the restaurant world that's called an 86. Too bad the server didn't know what an 86 was when we ordered. So we elected to get the flatbread pesto basil. That I must say was very good! But we sat outside patio. I asked for water never got a water, drinks never got refilled. My advice stay inside where you're higher profile. Also don't ask for plates for a hot dish because you will get cold salad plates to put your hot food on. I think that this is a very generous rating. Sorry but I think that we owe it to the community to be honest about our reviews. No pictures on this one! read more

There were many empty tables when my spouse and I arrived for dinner on Apr25/23. After much deliberation at the entrance, we were seated at what had to be the worst table in the place - a tiny table on its own and right besides the kitchen door. We moved to another table. The server brought buns but only with the cinnamon butter. Not everone is going to like cinnamon butter. We waited and waited for our meal. A table near to us, also with two people, arrived after us and were gone while we still waited. The server had disappeared. Eventually, I spoke to another server who sent our server over. She explained that my spouse's order had been prepared but it had been taken by another server for another table. When the food finally arrived it was poor. When the salad bar is the highlight of one's meal then you know that there is room for improvement. I give credit to the staff that our server brought the matter of the wait to the manager and the cost of that entree was removed from the bill. This restaurant is recommended via google searches but It certainly does not warrant such a rating. read more
