Disclaimer: I'm not sure if I am able to write a review, but I have been wanting to since I tried it and became slightly obsessed and got my coworkers hooked too. Plus, I don't normally play favorites. The rice at this location is always good. I was there Monday (a holiday) and I normally get their white rice in a bowl but they were out and mentioned it would take like 5 more minutes if I wanted to wait, but I was on a time crunch to make it to work on time, so I got their brown rice (which I normally am not a fan of) and the super green mix as a base. I also added the braised lamb and asked for a little too much variety of fix-ins. I swear by their garlic dressing and Tzatziki sauce. It's a pretty fat bowl that I end up with every time. This bowl, having brown rice instead of my usual white rice, HOLY MOLY!! It was still so bomb and made me feel like i was being even healthier (lol). I ended up sharing my bowl with my coworker and he is planning on making the commute out of his way to this location specifically when he is in the mood for some Mediterranean. With all the positive said, I will also mention that one of their special drink offering was not working and there were a few tables that could've really used a good wipe down. But that's not an outrageous negative considering it was super busy at the time and a holiday. I will also mention that I don't really remember any memorable interactions I had with the people who helped with my order - either because they didn't leave a great impression or I was just preoccupied with making sure I overfilled my bowl. We come here often and they're never consistent with how much food they give. Today the guy decided to do a half a scoop of rice literally like not even enough for three bites and I asked for a little bit more and he said it was extra. Does he understand how much these bowls are and a little bit of rice was not going to kill him. It wasn't like I was asking for more protein. The avocado harrisa bowl was terrible tasting and had steak instead of chicken. I mentioned to the employee that I noticed he put steak not chicken and he assured me I was mistaken. The other items I ordered were not available when I arrived (early) so they tried to give me 1 extra piece of raw pita bread. I ordered pita chips and apparently they weren't making anymore. It was 6pm and they don't close until 1030 pm. It was dirty and plastic forks on the floor. I won't be returning for the 31.00 dollar meal which was a bowl and side of hummus. The unique thing about Cava is the flavors you can get from the different choices you have. My go to is: 1/2 grains and 1/2 greens with Harissa Chicken. Add in some pickles, pickled onions, Persian cucumber, red pepper hummus, and corn. Top it off with some garlic sauce, and you have one solid bowl of goodness. There are still many items I want to try out, like the falafels, meatballs, etc. Location // Ton of parking all around, as well as seating inside and outside. Like some of the reviews you've probably seen by now, it is not always super clean inside, the trash does pile up often. Yummy food, great for vegans. BUT, I have two qualms. I have been to this location multiple times and have enjoyed all but one bowl that I ordered. Unfortunately, the individual prepping my bowl added waaaay too many scoops of lentils and they had run out of FALAFEL so I got the roasted veggies and sweet potato and they were bland and still crunchy. Other times my bowl has been AMAZING when they have the falafel. SECOND BUT: They are SLOW. They have multiple people working in the back and the front is busy with one order at a time. Two people running the register, one just scooping sauce into a container, and guy behind the grill basically just staring at everyone not doing anything. The location had been super busy and they were out of majority of the items tonight but Jackie kept such a positive and kind attitude about the situation. She also pointed out two of her coworkers on the line that had kept things a running smoothly Kenya and Mary (? Sorry if I got the name wrong). Was craving something healthier and remembered this spot. The guy was super helpful in walking us through how to order (it had been a while since my friend and I have been to CAVA). We got half basmati rice and half romaine for the base. I did half of the meatballs and half chicken for my protein. The meatballs were pretty big and he gave me 2 so I assume just meatballs would only be 4. He recommended the garlic sauce on top so thats what I went with. I missed cava so much! My mom and I ordered the Lemon Chicken and Harissa Avocado set bowls and it was so filling. Before we paid, we noticed the Lemon Chicken bowl wasn't as full like the Harissa Avocado so we asked to fill it up more. We enjoyed both bowls but preferred the Harissa Avocado. I tried Cava for the first time given how I heard it was fast Mediterranean food. The pita sandwiches are pretty large so prepare to be stuffed. Although the food tasted good and made fresh to order, it would be nice to see a larger variety of selections and a larger menu. The menu seems small and can be hard to read. It would be better to have more beverage options and desserts. It was nice to see the place busy on a Sunday. read more

I love Cava, and I recently joined their rewards program since my boyfriend and I have been eating it so often. I appreciate the option to customize your bowl, so you can add ingredients that you enjoy eating and make it your own. Cava also provides some curated menu options in case you are indecisive. My boyfriend and I like the lemon chicken bowl. The portions are huge, and my boyfriend and I definitely feel full after our meal. Also, be sure to ask for the pita bread! My daughter has been wanting to try Cava for a while so on our way to Cal State Fullerton we stopped in for lunch. The line was pretty long but it was lunch time on a Saturday. It's similar to Chipotle where you walk up and the servers ask how you want your bowl. They have different options, from wraps, bowls, salads etc. we chose the build your own and got the Greek style with salad, rice, chicken and hummus. You have several options for everything, my mouth was watering as she made my selection, you get a piece of warm soft pita bread with it. One of my favorite choices was getting the side of pita chips, wow they were delicious!!! Seasoned and crispy on the outside soft on the inside. They were out of this world dipped in the hummus. We got two orders and I'm glad we did!! We chose one drink and you can pick what you like and help yourself, the options were various teas and lemonades, my favorite was the blueberry and the cucumber mint. They have fountain options also like Mexican soda similar to Coke it was tasty!! Everything was so good, I will definitely be back when I can. I hope we get one either near or in Temecula in the future! Everything was so fresh and tasty, really good and healthy options! But really, those warm crispy pita chips were heavenly! Let's just say I loved everything about it- from how clean and big this place is to how affordable and delicious this place was. If you're looking for something healthy yet affordable, this is the place to go. I literally drove 22 miles for this place and it was all worth it. What I was thankful for was they were open until 10pm. Sometimes I crave healthy but a bit later at night... unfortunately not many healthy restaurants accommodate my late night healthy craving lol. The choices they offer was amazing and I had a hard time choosing one since they all looked so delicious. Think of it as a Mediterranean Chipotle (but 1,000 times better than Chipotle), you order up front from your choice of grain bowls, salad bowls, greens + grains bowl, or pita wraps and they slide your meal down to the next person to complete your build-your-own meal. DIPS AND SPREADS You can pick up to three dips and spreads, which for me is always their delicious hummus, tzatziki, and roasted eggplant (they have the best eggplant ever!) PROTEIN They have a good variety of protein ranging from chicken to lamb. They also include vegetarian options like falafel and veggies. Their grilled chicken is seasoned and cooked perfectly. It's juicy and has so much flavor! TOPPINGS From here you can select as many toppings as you like. Anything you choose is always fresh and delicious. From cabbage slaw to pickled onions to fire roasted corn and Persian cucumbers, all of their veggies are fresh. DRESSINGS They have about 8 dressings that you can choose from. It's overwhelming with how many options they have, but I always seem to go back to their garlic dressing. It's super garlicy and creamy! You can ask to have the dressing on the side or spread throughout your meal.
