Kimmie's is tucked into a back corner in the Anaheim Hills Festival Center. It has a good amount of booth and table seating inside as well as a nice outdoor space with tables, and heat lamps for chillier days. For being a brunch spot that closes at 2PM, the menu has a great variety of both breakfast and lunch dishes, heavier on the breakfast options. They also have seasonal and daily specials. Service is friendly and efficient. The servers all have smiles and check on how the food is tasting and if drink refills are needed. Speaking of, Coke lovers will be disappointed because they serve Pepsi here, so the iced tea is my go to alternative. On this particular day, I chose the chile relleno omelet and my friend chose the Eggs Benedict. Excellent place! It's a Small, family oriented, amazing coffee shop. Everything in the menu looks appetizing and delicious. Couldn't order everything but chose my favorite breakfast and couldn't go wrong. Eggs Benedict with turkey avo, tomato, and instead of the harsh browns or potatos I asked if I could possibly have veggies? Guess what?! Yes! The most wonderful part of it, was the Hollandaise sauce! So delicious, just perfect! Great service and welcoming place. I definitely advise for anyone coming this way in Riverside, make it there! Establishment is busy, clean and laidback. Staff was professional and courteous. This is your classic American Cafe. I ordered the Ribeye and Eggs, medium rare and sunny side up with hash browns, biscuit and gravy, and a side of bacon. The steak is cut thin, roughly .25 inches. It was overcooked but not tough. Bacon was somewhat crispy. Hash browns were somewhat crispy with a soft interior. The gravy was quite rich and paired with the biscuit it was fairly tasty. Eggs were sunny side up. TLDR: Excellent service, decent food, good establishment, great value. Would recommend! read more

Lovely experience. We have been to the one in old Towne Orange multiple times and they are always crazy packed. We came here on a Sunday morning and were expecting it to be nuts but it wasn't! They told us to seat ourselves and we chose a comfy booth outside. All the ladies who helped us out were very sweet and quick. Towards the end of our dining experience, the church rush most likely started to come in and caused them to get super busy. The waitresses were still quick and made sure we were helped. The boy who was bussing tables also helped a lot by offering any refills. I got the country sliders which are always so delicious with red potatoes that had peppers and onions. It was all delicious. My husband got a country fried steak with hash browns and he said it was better than most country fried steaks. It was a great dining experience. The only negative I would say is that there were flies everywhere. I would see if the shopping center would allow you to set fly traps somewhere. But good food and people! read more

Honestly the worst part is the service. Both this location and the Orange location has very slow service with servers that do smoke and clearly are not happy at their job. This is a cute little old schools type coffee shop/diner in th heart of Anaheim Hills. The wait staff is very friendly and helpful. The menu is loaded with the typical coffee shop/diner fare, from eggs and bacon to pancakes, waffles, biscuits and gravey, chili, burgers and so on. The food is tasty and prices are reasonable. Our only complaint is the total lack of any non-dairy options for coffee creamer. In this day and age with all of the people that have issues with dairy products it is very surprising that they would not carry any such options. read more

Today my friend ordered the Irish Benedict while I had the corned beef hash. Enjoyable ambience and the staff is super friendly, I have zero complaints. We both enjoyed our meals overall, though I have one significant concern that I hope the owners will address with their kitchen staff. My main issue is one I encounter at most breakfast restaurants in the 21st-century. It's the hollandaise sauce. True hollandaise should be made from scratch using egg yolks, butter, salt, lemon juice, and white pepper. Unfortunately, most places now use some kind of product that may or may not have been doctored up rather than preparing fresh hollandaise. This shortcut really detracts from what could otherwise be an excellent dish. But if the average customer doesn't or can't recognize real hollandaise, maybe it doesn't matter, so long as the cluelessly customers are happy, but don't call it hollandaise if you're a chef with integrity. That said, the corned beef hash was delicious. The addition of grilled onions and bell peppers were a nice touch that elevated the dish. The coffee was also quite good - solid diner quality that paired well with the meal. I would definitely return to this restaurant, but the hollandaise issue is something I find increasingly frustrating across the industry. It strikes me as unnecessary, corner-cutting when fresh hollandaise makes such a difference to the dining experience. Overall, I'd give this place a solid B. The food is good and I'd recommend checking it out, though you might want to skip dishes that rely heavily on the hollandaise. You may have a different experience than mine, so I'd encourage you to give it a try and form your own opinion. You may be pleasantly surprised. read more

Many many years ago my family and I used to dine at Kimmie's Coffee Cup often. This morning we decided to visit Kimmie's again in celebration of Father's day (plus no one had a recollection why we stop going) The food is average, nothing exceptional, simple cooking. The total for our breakfast was $100.00, average price to dine at local establishments in our area with 4 people. Once our waitress came to get the order we all remembered the reason why we stop going there, and that was because the service is terrible. ZERO personality from the waitress, we felt unwelcome/unwanted. She never introduced herself, never asked what we wanted; she simply stared at us waiting for us to speak. After she took the order she walked away without saying anything. After we finished eating, we got the bill, we paid and never saw the waitress again. (PLEASE NOTE: we had food left over but no one asked if we wanted to take it home. We had to wait and flag a person to get a container) The restaurant is nicely decorated but the ambiance is super bland because the attitude of the staff is dry. We used to go there for their yummy eggs Benedict but they changed the Hollandaise sauce and it tastes like plastic. Looks like it too. We pass by Kimmie's all the time, so today we decided to go there for brunch. This cafe is surrounded by trees. We sat out in the patio. Our servers were excellent. They were friendly and sweet. I ordered a cinnamon roll pancake. There was absolutely no cinnamon and hardly any glaze . I mentioned to the waiter she said sorry the cinnamon is swirled, which absolutely was not. I was bothered that fact she didn't offer and alternative or even cared to ask if I would like a new one. I left unattended and unsatisfied. The server didn't even apologize at all and left me hanging. I felt discriminated by race to be honest . The server is young and only was attentive to these older white cacucasian American men . So I've came to this spot for a couple it years now. Never had any complaints whatsoever. Always been good food and treated well and have recommended this spot. Yesterday wasn't so pleasant. We came in and got greeted and sat by the host (young guy between 19-22) and was very respectful. Our server(blonde with make up between mid 30s-Early 40s) came to take our order and did not greet us whatsoever and just asked "What are you getting today?" We placed our order and mind you ZERO and I mean ZERO eye contact. No smile or anything. I like to think "maybe she's just having a bad day" We all have those. She for some reason greeted the family behind us with smile and had a cheerful tone to her voice with them. I can hear it was their first time there. She didn't come to check on us to see if we were good or if we needed anything. As a matter of fact the other older lady with darker hair came out and refilled our coffee, she smiled and made eye contact. Our server then came back with our check and THEN asked if we wanted more coffee and again ZERO eye contact and no smile. Yet Greeted the next family with a cheerful tone. We then paid and no eye contact and no goodbyes. Regardless of this I'm always respectful and will still treat servers with respect(please, thank you, smiles, and eye contact) and manners as well as a 20% tip. I just didn't feel welcomed yesterday. Kimmies is a solid gold star diner that will get you filled up with the classics. Kimmies goes a above and beyond with fresh tasting meats (especially sausage) which can often fall flat among other classic diners. They are generous with their bacon but they lack size on the omelettes and avocados. Great tasting food all round! We did an online pick up order and were told a 25 minute wait for our food which my husband arrived about 30 minutes later and was told it would just be a couple more minutes until our food was ready which was completely fine. I met up with a group of friends and I was not sure what to expect. The over all vibe just make me feel like I was in one big kitchen. Covid safety precautions were posted and it had it's usual mix of mask to no mask ratio. The service- our service was wonderful, Candice was managing several tables and even with the busyness she did her best to be as present as possible. She also had great recommendations. The food-.. now I was looking at their corned beef hash and then I saw the eggs Benedict... But they did something a little unexpected where they had a corned beef hash egg benedict... I really wasn't sure what to expect. And sometimes when you get corned beef hash it's a little sloppy... BUT !! Kimmies kitchen does not do sloppy. This is by far one of the best eggs benedict I've had. The corned beef hash was the right tone of crispiness and juicy flavor. The eggs Benedict was wonderful The egg was perfectly poached and the hollandaise sauce was just delicious. Their coffee is also just on par... The guys in the group were equally happy with their orders so this will definitely be a breakfast spot for the books. I really appreciate the environment and the atmosphere that's created here along with the food and innovation that comes with it. We were looking for a cute and local brunch spot to grab breakfast at and we stumbled into Kimmie's. There is inside and outside seating available. The service was alright, our server seemed to be the only server for the whole floor , which was odd. I'm sure she was trying her best to accommodate but it made it difficult to get serviced regularly since she was the only one. The food was unfortunately so disappointing. I absolutely love egg Benedict's, they're my favorite go to breakfast item. Unfortunately, the hollandaise sauce tasted nothing like hollandaise, the muffin wasn't easy to cut into, the potatoes that came with it were cold and not cooked through. When I sent back the potatoes, they reheated them and they somehow came back very oily and weren't edible. The whole dish wasn't good at all. My significant other and I went to Kimmie's this morning for breakfast in celebration of his birthday. I had been to another Kimmie's location before and was looking forward to introducing him to it as well. However, our experience today made me greatly regret choosing this place for his birthday. After we were seated, it took quite some time for someone to come and take our order. When the server arrived, she didn't offer any sort of warm greeting, introduce herself in any way, and was very short with us. The wait time for our food was fairly long but not unheard of for a restaurant. During our meal, no one ever came in to check with us to see if everything was satisfactory or to check if there was anything else we wanted to add to our order. In fact, I had wanted to add a drink but was never given the opportunity. By the time we finished our meal, we had sat for 15-20 minutes, made eye contact with several servers, and never did a single person come over. We were seated outside and had to go inside to ask for boxes and also for the check. Then, we had yet another wait when no one came by to take the payment, despite multiple servers seeing us waiting with the receipt. Finally, we just went inside again to pay so we could leave. Since servers ignored us the entire visit, they probably wouldn't have even noticed if we'd walked out without paying. The food was good, but the best meal could not have made up for such lackluster service. read more
