Stopped at Cava for the first time tonight at the height of the dinner rush. Line was long but it moved along at a reasonable pace. The staff was very friendly and helpful even with them being slammed. It's like an elevated Mediterranean Chipotle as far as how you can build a bowl etc. I loved the options! I chose to build a greens/grain bowl and was so impressed with the options and quality. I rarely take the time to write reviews but this was worth it. Everything was DELICIOUS. I could eat real Mediterranean food every meal of every day. This quick takeout approach to it was a 10/10. I typically love cava but I didn't ask for the extra protien.... Found the longest hair strand capped to my sauce. I was even able to swing it around. Needless to say I had it with no sauce. Was a Togo order made online. Edit: changed to 5 stars for the excellent customer service and i still like their food. Unfriendly staff, chintzy protein portions. Had to wait for them to make more falafels. My bowl sat by the cashier for a few minutes as I patiently stood there waiting. I thought the cashier would hand me my bowl since I was standing right there and it had been sitting there for a couple of minutes. Rather than hand me my bowl, she started slicing avocados for the next two people. I waited, thinking okay, she'll hand me my bowl after she slices the avocados. Nope. We have come to this location numerous times and have usually come out incredibly happy. Today we decided on CAVA for dinner over all the other fast food places in the area. It was empty when we walked in so you would think that everything would be stocked and ready to go for people coming in. They were out of meatballs, cucumbers, kalamata olives, all the sauces were low, and they were out of forks.The girl working the first part of the line was not helpful AT ALL. Her only response was that they were out of things and did not give any information as to wait times for things go be ready or anything or give any solutions. This is our third time coming here. Normally I don't yelp a place until about my second or third time there because I really like to take my time and understand the dynamics of the place. They are always so nice while they serve your meal and the food is on point. We love that it's always fresh! It never takes a long time to order/receive your food. Dana was our cashier and she's super sweet and nice (all of them are but we remember her name). It's so nice that there is a Mediterranean restaurant that is so easy and fast to order. So glad I did because it is everything I want in a healthy, tasty, fulfilling meal! I normally love CAVA. This was my first time at this location. Covidwise: outside dining only. Staff wearing masks. Tastewise: For some reason everything I ate in my bowl was tangy. I saw them put all my sauces and crazy feta and whatnot in separate container, so I know its not that. Portionwise: Even when I was eating for two I could easily make one bowl last for 2 meals. At this location, nope. Too little given. Enough to fill up for one meal though. Samplewise: yes, I asked if they could give a sample. Different location could produce different taste yknow what I mean (ironically this is exactly what happened) they said no. I asked if it was cuz of covid. Food is good but the staff is rude. I get it, they are all young kids however for $30 for a meal for 2 I would expect a little bit more. I wasn't even asking for much either Today around 2pm we stopped by to pick up food and there was a line, which is no big deal. However, right when we were about to order my son had to pee and he couldn't hold it, so my husband took him. I went to order and told the nice lady I want two bowls but my husband took my young son to the restroom and I don't know what he wants. She said no problem I can order later and started my bowl. Passed it down to the gentleman for sauces and I also let him know I need two bowls and my husband is in the restroom with my son and can I order his later, he was unsure. BUT cashier just shook his head like no no no. I normally would just pay for mine but the line was long behind me and we had already order. The gentleman helping me helped and started my husband bowl and I basically had to guess what my husband wanted. My husband came out with my son right before we were to pay. The cashier guy just seemed grumpy and was inconvenienced by our presence.
