Cava is always a good option for a balanced and yummy quick meal. On my recent visit, I tried the steak harissa bowl which as-is comes from steak, feta, tomatoes, cucumbers on brown rice and greens with a spicy harissa sauce. I'm not a hug fan of the steak at Cava as it can be a bit tough but the flavor combination was great and I love the red pepper hummus with the feta. It's such a good, filling meal for the price and the harissa isn't very spicy for my taste so it feels nicely balanced. I also love the drinks here and while I usually don't drink sparkling drinks, the cucumber mint and strawberry citrus refreshers are too good to pass up. read more

Cava is always a good spot to grab a quick lunch or dinner. I've been there a handful of times and it's always been an enjoyable experience. This time I ordered through the Too Good To Go app, which allows you to get a bowl for $3.99 in the hour or so before the kitchen closes, in an effort to combat food waste. Love the cause! I find the portion size at Cava to be pretty decent, especially compared to some of the other fast casual type spots in the area. You can choose between greens or grains for your base and there are a bunch of options for toppings and proteins. I usually opt for the lamb meatballs, but the ingredients are pre-selected for Too Good To Go. There are also a few options for sauces as well. I'd happily visit Cava again, especially with that deal! read more

The salads here when you order them inside are really good . Large selection of salad options . I don't recommend delivery as I ordered twice and my salad was not good . It was soggy and just didn't taste good at all . The service is really good inside the restaurant. The vibe is welcoming and warm . The fountain drinks are really good and they have a huge selection. The price is not bad for the portion size , and fresh and delicious salads . I hope you have the opportunity to try the establishment . The bathrooms are clean as well as the restaurant. read more

I enjoyed the food it was fresh and tasty. Staff was rude. No customer service skills. I came during a slow time with no line around 7pm. I felt rushed through, they slapped the food together like they were mad at me. Any requests for an added item seemed to annoy them even though I didn't mind paying extra for something. They could use some training about being nicer to customers and a better understanding of how their service skills effects a desired meal. Cava is one of the very few lunch options around Kendall square. After months of having Chipotle on the few occasions I don't bring a lunch to work, I decided to give CAVA a try. The good: - easy online ordering via their website - food was ready for pick up at the scheduled time - lots of options - unlimited toppings - friendly staff The bad: - food was cold when I picked it up - same price point as chipotle but much less food - they charge for bags Overall, food was just ok, but it was a nice change. The area managers is very rude not to mention keeps a dirty location. Cleanliness doesn't seem to be a priority of theirs at this location and neither does good customer service. The utensil holders are always dirty with dirt all in them and they have the nerve to put forks and knives in the dirt without cleaning them. The napkin dispensers are always dirty as well, with stains and sticky stuff all over them. This location needs a staff overhaul from the top down or maybe just new leadership. I read more

This is a very good place for Mediterranean Build-Your-Own. Part of a chain of over 100 stores stretching from Massachusetts to California, this shop is conveniently located near Kendall Square and very close to MIT. There is limited seating, especially with COVID protocols. But the service is quick and the food is very tasty. When I entered around 1 PM on a Wednesday, I was able to walk right up to the counter and was invited to order by one of the friendly staff members. I chose a Grain Bowl, to which I added several vegetables. For my dips and spreads, I opted for Crazy Feta (jalapeño-infused feta mousse), Tzatziki and Harissa (which was the highlight). My protein choice was chicken and my dressing was Harissa Vinaigrette. It was a great combination, especially with the warm piece of pita added to it. My final bill with food, drink (sparkling water) and tax was just under $14. I thought this was a very good value. I'll look forward to my next chance to visit. read more

Really kind and helpful staff: I showed up right at 10 pm when they were closing, and they agreed to put a meal together for me, even though they had already shut down the cash register. Cava is my favorite lunch spot food chain--the ingredients taste super fresh, I love the ability to customize bowls, and the serving size is good for the price. 10/10 would recommend! It was my first time trying Cava and Mediterranean food, and I absolutely loved it. The experience was comparable to making a bowl at Chipotle, where you could pick and choose what you wanted in the bowl. It was also very simple to order ahead from the Cava app for a quick pickup. The sweet potatoes & garlic dressing are *chef's kiss* and the service at this location was great. Was turned off by the long line but it went soooo fast because they were working like a well-oiled machine. They don't skip on the servings either which I appreciate. Saw this on the walk back to the hotel, and noticed Mediterranean. Was craving something different, so I figured why not check it out. Looking through the window, I noticed it was a nice make your own setup. It had two rice options and black lentils as the base. I went with the jasmine rice. Then various humus options. I dabbled in the red pepper and chipotle humus. Next were the protein toppings. I over indulged and chose both the lamb and beef meat balls, and the chopped lamb stew. I finally topped it off with some cucumbers, red cabbage, kalamata olives, and quinoa all drizzled with a sriracha yogurt dressing. It wasn't bad, and was actually really filling. My bowl cost $15 and came with a small pita bread. Normally I would have rated higher, but the taste just wasn't there for me. I enjoyed it, but when comparing to the lamb and beef meatballs, rice, and pita from other Mediterranean restaurants, this was just so-so. The meat was kind of dry and tasteless. I'm used to nice infusion of spices in the meats at the Mediterranean places I go. Then again, it is a franchise bowl establishment, and not really experts in really good Mediterranean, hence the 3 stars. Don't get me wrong, if you are hungry, and like the sound of it, you will enjoy it and get your tummy full for the price, but if you know really good Mediterranean food, don't expect the same here. read more

I didn't start out as the biggest Cava lover but this place has definitely grown on me the more times I go. I always order the build your own grain bowl with saffron basmati rice, grilled chicken, pita crisps, tomato salad, avocado, and yogurt dill. The best part is definitely the sauces -- I get the roasted eggplant, crazy feta, and hummus. Only downside is I wish they gave more. The food is light and fresh enough that you feel healthy after but also very filling (I always have leftovers that I eat as an afternoon snack). read more

Stopped by CAVA for a quick casual lunch with a friend. The food was quick, tasty and healthy! It reminded me of a Chipotle how it was set up but Mediterranean style. Inside they had markings on the floors, all staff wore masks and it felt very COVID safe. We sat at a table outside for some fresh air and really enjoyed it. I ordered the Greens and Grains Bowl with Cilantro Rice, Supergreens, Falafel and loads of veggies and a few sauces. The best thing about this place is you can put whatever you want in your bowl. So, that means you can mix and match for your taste buds and how hungry you are. The portions sizes are also large so I was able o eat half for lunch and the other half of my meal for dinner. Both the staff and their signage either lie or don't know their own ingredients. After specifically clarifying that a menu item labeled as "plant-based" contains no dairy, which I can't consume, the sauce contained dairy anyway. Can't eat food from those you can't trust. read more
