I love Cava but the Lakewood location is awful and I will no longer get food from this restaurant. I live a few blocks from this location and was thrilled when they opened. Literally everything is wrong at this location. The service and the attitude of the employees is terrible! These people obviously do not like their jobs and don't want to be there. The portions compared to the McKinney Avenue and Oaklawn locations are half, and I always have to ask for the pita, which is supposed to come with the bowl, and then I get attitude like I'm asking for something extra. I will not go here again and I would NOT recommend the Lakewood location until they train their employees or hire people that want to work there! read more

I went to Cava for the first time the first week in December (2023). The staff walked me through the process and explained the different combinations that work well with each other. I've been back at every Thursday to try something new. Each time I was greeted by a friendly staff an excellent food. Looking forward to 2024. read more

Update January 2021- ordered the harissa honey chicken and it either had a bone in it or the outside of the chicken was so hard it felt like a bone. Had to throw it away immediately to keep from gagging. Unfortunately, doesn't seem like much has improved. :( read more

I walked into this location at 9:42pm after a long shift hoping to get food before the location closes at 10:00pm. To my surprise, the employees inside said "sorry we're closed." I was confused because the door was unlocked and still well before closing time. They then mentioned "we just threw everything away, we don't have any food to make you." This is frustrating because I showed up within business hours and the decision to close early didn't allow me to eat here. If you plan on closing early, please post advanced notice so your customers can plan appropriately. read more

Crunchy undercooked rice, no side of pita, stale pita crisps. Never had a bad CAVA meal until trying this location

I am such a huge Cava fan and was thrilled to see that the Zoe's just a 5min walk by me was being replaced by a Cava. Needless to say, I've already ordered numerous times from this location. The majority of times, my experiences have been great, food was always on the shelf ready for when I picked up and the portions were decent. But on a few occasions, the experience has been quite a miss. During peak times I probably waited an additional 15min at the restaurant for my order. Honestly, you are better off just getting in line and ordering in-person during busy hours. You will have your order fulfilled much faster. Also, there have been instances where the portions were really leaving much to be desired with the bowls barely being full. Overall, I will definitely still be coming to this location though I think the excitement has worn off for now and I've definitely had my fill of Cava over the past month! If you go, I highly recommend you double up on the pickled onions - they are SO GOOD, probably explains why they're running out of it at times. Also, I highly recommend the delicious "pita chips" they're less like super hard chips and more like fried pieces of bread tossed in salt and seasonings, you can't go wrong :). One menu item I recommend you steer clear from just in terms of poor value are the side dips. For $3, you get a tiny sauce up of hummus/dip and the cup is barely filled half way! You could easily spend the same price or just a couple dollars more for a quality hummus in a big container at the grocery store! If you do want extra dip, I recommend just putting it as an add-on to your greens + grains bowl for 75 cents extra! read more

On multiple occasions, the staff appeared to be inconvenienced when building everyone's bowls. They operate like they're being forced to work. They slop the food items into the bowl, with half of it falling back onto the assembly line mixing in other ingredient items. The line doesn't look clean. Looks like a summer camp cafeteria chow hall, after a food fight. They have bad attitudes and the supposed owner (shift manager) refuses to provide alternative solutions or alternative people to contact. read more

I love Cava, but this location was just so/so for me. I had a pick up order and wasn't greeted at all when I stopped in to get it. Honestly, that's not a huge deal but just something I noticed. What was annoying was that my food was made incorrectly. It was noticeably missing my favorite ingredients, which was a bummer. I was already home when I opened the food and I'm not going back out in the cold over a couple of missing ingredients. The food was fine, just not exactly what I ordered. I checked the ticket and I placed my order correctly. I'd most likely consider a different location next time I order Cava. read more

Love Cava , frequent Legacy West location since opening , but visited Cava Lakewood , service was workable but servings were about half as what I receive at Legacy West, not sure why , I had to beg for pita bread ( bowl comes with pita ) , the server went back to the kitchen , we waited for about 5 minutes, we finally got our pita bread but the server looked confused by our pita request, will return to Legacy West for our Cava cravings, it is good! read more

I stopped in tonight around 7:30 to try Cava for the first time. I live close by and was excited to have a quick new healthy restaurant to swing by after a long day at work! I decided to try one of their build your own bowls. The food tasted good and had great flavors. However I probably won't be back due to the poor service. The woman behind the counter taking my order was not at all helpful and was actually pretty rude. I even told her it was my first time here and she just glared at me. They were out of my protein choice and also out of one of the toppings I asked for and she made absolutely no apology and acted like I was an idiot for ordering something they were out of. I asked a question about the protein options and her response was very arrogant! Overall her attitude tainted my enjoyment of the meal! With so many food options in Dallas there is no need to waste your time and money going to a place where the employees are not taught to be respectful and courteous to their customers!! I love the food but last time they forgot the chicken on my to-go order and when I called back they said they can't process refunds. Now I'm waiting 30 min for a to-go order. This particular location is awful. Go to the one in Oak Lawn. They had nothing out and prepared, out of arugula, tzakiki, chicken, avocado. She gave me tiny portions of the food and when I asked for the correct portion they wanted to charge extra. The customer service was bad. We have given this location a second try today and will not return again. Would not recommend this one. read more

I placed a to go order, and they forgot our pitas, side dressings, and three toppings from one bowl. Additionally, one bowl had about half of the expected rice/meat. I went back to ask for the pitas, dressing, and missing toppings, and received the pitas/dressings, however I was rudely told by the chef that my bowl could not be fixed because I "had ate half of it." I hadn't had a bite, but they gave me so little food that they accused me of eating half. The food is always fine at Cava, but I would strongly advise against a to go order as this location is dishonest and rude. read more
