This location never disappoints. The food is always really good, the portion sizes are appropriate and the people are always very nice. I always get the combination of lamb and chicken which is always really good here. The location is right off of Washington Avenue which makes it a super busy spot, so be prepared to wait. I really like the vibes, very large but still the small restaurant style feel. From now on this will definitely be my go to location.

If you like Chipotle and want something different yet fresh, savory and Mediterranean, stop on by. Dropped by during the week for friend's lunch and got there in time to avoid the rush. Located on a corner of shopping strip on Washington, parking is shared with other businesses. Once inside, it's simple and clean. Plenty of seating available, unless you come during the week for lunch, it gets busy. Service was quick and friendly. Opted for the build my own, with garlicky chicken shawarma bowl and was not disappointed. Chicken was well seasoned and tender. Like Chipotle, I added the additional toppings to my liking and taste. Highly recommend the red pepper hummus. Or you can follow their pre-curated bowls and modify from there. Thanked my friend for recommending we lunch here and look forward to returning. Enjoyed every savory bite.

Just pulled a grasshopper out of my cava bowl, this is the most disgusting thing I have ever encountered from a restaurant in my life...

Mediterranean chipotle is a great description of this place. A great spot to build your own / mix and match greens and protein with an assortment of toppings. So you could make your bowl as healthy or as flavorful as you can. I usually go with a custom bowl of greens/rice and combo meats (tried out the lamb/steak combo this time around) It's a good price point for $15 which is very filling and flavorful. Good quality/portion balance Location is fairly convenient, has its own parking lot and also within walking distance from a few other stables of Washington, service is fairly efficient. Overall I think it's a solid fast-casual spot with quality ingredients. Very customizable and can meet your dietary restrictions. Definitely be back again soon.

Love that you can order two proteins in a bowl. Food was fresh and delicious. Not sure why some people get 2 pitas and others get 1, but pita was ok. Lentil option instead of rice was great! Server gave me suggestions for the sauces which were spot on: skhug and garlic combo! When I got my drink and went to find a table, both spaces could have used cleaning. Most tables had remnants from previous patrons and we never saw someone cleaning the tables.

Loving this cava! Always fresh and always delicious. They have the best customer service and it's always clean. Always go for the Greek salad bowl!

I wish they had a CAVA in MN!! My new obsession... When I visited Houston, I got this four times because I liked it so much. It is so simple, but everything tastes so good. Everytime I go there is usually a line but it goes by fast. It is a Mediterranean fast restaurant and you can't go wrong with a good Mediterranean bowl. There is plenty of seating and lots of parking! The staff and service is great! You can add pita bread but be sure to add pita chips and garlic sauce (there's plenty of sauces to choose from). That's what brings everything in together... I'm waiting for the day they open one in MN so, I don't have to travel to get this all the time.

Cava is renowned for its fresh ingredients and delicious flavor combinations, particularly its customizable bowls and wraps. Although Cava's prices are slightly higher than those of competitors like Chipotle, I believe the extra cost is justified by the quality and taste. I also enjoy the crispy pita chips and the variety of drink options available.

I had heard great things about the cafe at this new location, and had even tried their former location on Hillcroft a couple years ago as part of TooGoodToGo. We opted to sit on the patio on a (rare) nice Houston day. The tables were spacious and the patio seating was very comfortable. We ordered the Kofta Kabob and Chicken Kabob specialty platters. These platters come with your choice of two sides - we went for the Fried Cauliflower, Tabouli Salad, Hummus, and Muhammara. The meats were so good and hit the spot. The Kofta Kabob had a complexity of flavor to it; so many spices that blended together really well. I will say that the post-meal burps of these spices were...smellier than usual. The Chicken Kabob was also flavorful and had a nice smokiness to it from the grill. I liked the slight crunch provided by the char along the edges. If I knew how to make chicken like this, it would be my daily meal prep! The Fried Cauliflower had a nice sear to it with lots of flavor. The Tabouli Salad and Hummus were comparable to those I've had at other Mediterranean places. The Muhammara was my favorite of the sides! It is a dip like hummus but also incorporates tomatoes, red bell peppers, and onions, among other spices; there was so much flavor to it and I could snack on this all day. The included pita bread was large, fluffy, and piping hot - perfect for dipping between the two side dips we got. Service was quick and friendly. The employee taking our order behind the counter was friendly and gave us the recommendation for the Muhammara - great rec. There is a reason ChōpnBlok continues to dominate the culinary scene and simply stated it is dedication to inclusive excellence. Every dinner I have attended that Chef Ope has hosted and/ or participated in has left me with a sense that everything possible was done to maintain each chef's unique artistry, story and genuine love to provide a multi-sensory experience that unequivocably evokes both awe and nostalgia in patrons. The food always feels undeniably like home, but often in the most expansive, mind-bending way. Thank you to everyone who played a part in this incredible event. Everything was beautifully envisioned and executed. The attention to detail and desire to imbue meaning in every aspect of this experience was like no culinary event I've attended before. Last but not least, thank you to the bar tenders and service team as a solo diner I truly experienced community and had a great time. Here's what was served! Course 0 - Welcome Bites/ Appetizers - Sankofa Spritz - The signature cocktail of the night. I love a sweet cocktail. So, this was right up my alley. This drink was essentially a Cucumber French 75 with subtle hints of cilantro and lavender that really paired well with the Suya Tartare. - Suya Tartare - We'll call this one of the most elevated tostadas you'll ever eat. This was one of my favorite bites of the evening. Brimming with so many levels of flavor and texture that all just melded. Lightly seared ChopnBlok Suya spiced tartare that had the brightness and buttery texture you expect from the best, finely diced and piled high atop a creamy avocado mash blended with ChopnBlok African Goddess dressing on Maximo's crisp, signature tostada shell made from house ground masa. The dish was garnished with citrus splashed cherry tomatoes and Salvadorian cheese from Chef Evelyn Garcia's ranch. -     Palm Butter Mushroom w/ Banga Sauce & Corn Congee - I love mushrooms and must say that this particular mushroom had such a beautiful, meaty texture-very reminiscent of a perfectly cooked filet mignon... the kind that almost melts in your mouth. I couldn't decide which sauce I preferred, the smokey, sultry Banga Sauce or the sweet, yet slightly savory corn congee, both were good and played well together. Course 1- Smokey Grilled Octopus, Plantain Mash, Recado Negro, Herb Salad & Pickled Celtuce -     This dish is akin to your favorite off the wall aunt. I know it may seem like a ridiculous comparison but hear me out as I know every family has at least one - that fun aunt that you wonder how in the world she's related to your square parent, but also recognize as a part of you when you accomplish something really ambitious. This dish had so many things I don't think I ever would've thought to put together, but they all combined for an incredibly delectable bite. The octopus was expertly seasoned and smoked with a beautiful char. I really enjoyed it's texture, just the right amount of cook to avoid it becoming stiff/ rubbery and I love the pairing with the mole to give that acidity that I'm used to experiencing with octopus. The mole was *chef's kiss* and I enjoyed it as both the dipping sauce for the octopus and "gravy" for the plantain mash. This dish was truly another triumph in texture and flavor. Course 2 - Citrus Smoked Chicken -w/Native Fried Rice, Scallion Masa Pancake & Seasonal Pickles -     This was my favorite dish of the night. I was too full to enjoy this meal in its entirety at the event. So, I took my leftovers home and devoured them. Every item on this plate was exceptional and truly showcased the collaborative spirit and unique strength of each chef - from the masterful smoke of Chef Adrian's chicken, to the deliciously inventive variation on a theme of Chef Wong's scallion pancake/ crepe/ tortilla, and the texture and flavor paradise that is Chef Ope's rice - this meal set a new bar and already has me wishing that I could enjoy it again. I don't think I ever imagined that I would crave pickled green beans, but Chef Evelyn did her big one with the green beans and that citrusy green sauce... Yes ma'am! Course 3 - Dessert -     For the Closing Toast - June's Brut Rose - nice night cap and compliment to the dessert balanced, not sweet or dry -     Calabash Tres Leche w/ Roasted Pineapple Ice Cream & 5 Spice Cashew - If you love a sweet and salty matchup and delight in bold flavor this dessert is for you. I thoroughly enjoyed the smokey, spicy, salty kick of the cashews. The tres leches was perfectly moist but not "wet" like some tres leches cakes can be and paired well with the subtle hints of pineapple and vanilla in the ice cream. Please package and sell the cashews!
