If you're craving healthy food that you can build your own bowl of, CAVA is the place for you. I wasn't a huge fan of what I got, but it could be because my options didn't mesh well together.

Not sure what's going on at this Cava but the food seems to taste too salty now and most of the time the grilled veggies are too burnt to consume. Spoons used to be available but now it seems to always be out or hidden. Drink and tables are often dirty even when it's not too busy. Also, some servers are a bit stingy with the amount of items they put in the bowls. I'd like a full bowl. Therefore, I have decreased visits here, from a couple of times a week to maybe once or twice a month. At least the music is ok, outdoor seating available, and plenty of parking.

Upon entry, this Cava is clean, spacious, and super fast. There's plenty of parking. When I went, I was the only one to order but the worker who helped me was so speedy. I kept having to ask her to go back so I can get a little more since their scoops are so small. I love Cava and their ingredients are super fresh. Cava is my go-to when I want a quick lunch or something that feels healthy. Just sad since I noticed they're barely generous with their portions.

My partner and I recently heard about this Cava opening on Adams. I've never tried CAVA before since we don't have one in Santa Barbara but I was thoroughly impressed! The recently renovated the space and looks clean. The service was great since it was easily to pick up all of our orders and make any requests if needed. I got the garlicky chicken bowl with all of the free fixings while my partner got another bowl. It was very tasty, paired with their sauces and arugula, and their free side of pita. Overall, a great experience!

Chipotle goes Mediterranean. Bowls, wraps, plates. Huge amount of choices should satisfy whatever you're craving. We came here recently and decided to go the "make your own" route. Choose a base (grains, greens, both), choose a main (various meats), choose toppings (they're all good), dips, and a dressing. Excellent. Fresh and portion size is hearty. And the food quality is solid, healthy. They also have preconceived bowls to choose from. Indoor and outdoor seating. Staff is friendly and helpful. I doubt you'll be disappointed.

I came to this location for a late lunch. Thank god I eat slowly because I almost got a full bite of PLASTIC SHRED. Please tell me what these are doing in my bowl. I cannot trust this location anymore due to the lack of quality control.

This is a brand new location for Cava. I went to check it out because it is my favorite fast food restaurant on the East coast. The locations here on the West coast are hit or miss. I think this location has potential once they work out the training for the staff and they get used to the fast pace. The lines were long when I was there but was happy that the portion sizes were good. They fill your bowl to the top here unlike other locations. Everything tastes just as good as I remembered. You can choose 3 dips out of 6-7 choices, you have a choice of protein (chicken is always fantastic) and the unlimited toppings. I always get all of them as they are all good. The salads taste fresh and crunchy. I don't even need the dressing with all the flavor from everything else. My only complaint is the lentils were very undercooked and thought I was chomping on sand at one point. This is in a busy plaza so it might take some time to find parking. But other than that, the food is just as good as the other locations!

I came by this new location and picked up 2 bowls. 1/2 chicken and 1/2 steaks. Food 3/5 the rice was not cooked. The steak was a little dried. The chicken was good. Lemonade 5/5 very very good. Service 5/5 they are very helpful and friendly. Indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of parking in the lot.

I would like to say this was the best Cava experience i have to date. I've eaten at long beach, la habra, Fullerton (close second). Although tonight's soft opening was comped, I would totally come back for the same experience again as a paid customer Staff were super nice and the GM was going around checking if everything was okay. I belive her name was Devonne, my memory isn't the best. She was welcoming and offered us those harissa chips. I gotta tell you, skip the pita chips and get these instead. The only downside to the experience was the 30 minutes to wait for the beef. (But I just got chicken instead) and the strawberry lemonade was our for refills. Overall, a 5 star first time experience at this location. Terrific food , terrific staff. There's a small patio and parking is in the shared lot with stater brothers. Love they kept the table clean after every patron.

CAVA is one of my favorite spots for a quick healthyish lunch or dinner. The braised lamb is always my go to and it never disappoints. I usually build a mixed greens salad bowl, and it comes out fresh, flavorful, and satisfying without feeling heavy. It is quick, easy, and consistent, which is exactly what you want from a fast casual spot. A reliable option when you want something healthier but still really good.

I placed an online pickup order for two bowls and mine was completely messed up. One order was a grains bowl with steak, potatoes, and saffron basmati rice, and the other was a grains + greens bowl with romaine lettuce, brown rice, grilled chicken, and harissa honey chicken. However, I was given two grains bowls with steak and saffron basmati rice. I've had CAVA before, but this was my first time at this location and it is surely the worst experience I've had. I'm not sure how you can mess up the main ingredients in an order when you have the order ticket in front of you, but here we are. I won't be wasting my money coming here ever again, and I would highly recommend no one else does either.

They have a cool garage-style door that they roll up in the summer that gives it an airy vie. Staff more fast here and keep the line flowing. My go-to bowl: splendid greens, saffron basmati rice, grilled chicken, all the free toppings, tzatziki, traditional hummus, roasted eggplants, lemon herb tahini, and Greek vinaigrette. The flavors are very savory and fresh here. Drinks are self-serve near the pickup station, perfect for tangy finish. A bowl is as cheap as 13 dollars too. So thats that... 10/10, I'm coming back to here forsure.

Love Cava and always have but this location seems to skimp on everything more than any other location. Specifically the orange and Costa Mesa location seems to give much more food. For nearly 17$, I wouldn't buy from this location again. read more

As much as I enjoyed this place when I visited my first location in Maryland, this one has the same vibe. Quick service and friendly. What seemingly irks me though is that the items have *start at price and you have no idea what you're doing to be paying after your selections. Most of the proteins they offer are upcharges. Even my kid's plate had a steak upcharge that cost half of another kid plate. It was silly. For fast food, 1 bowl (harissa chicken upcharge), 1 kid plate (steak upcharge), and 1 drink was over $30. Not a fan...I want to be able to ballpark gauge what I'm paying and not be gouged. read more

First time visit for date night and it was a spectacular experience (3/21/26) The friendly dude behind the counter with the huge smile and great energy helped explained the process and gave us tips on popular items for our bowls. The food was generously portioned, healthy af and the atmosphere is clean and inviting. We are definitely coming back and added Cava into our rotation. Great work! read more

I usually go here every now and then to this location, but ordered online and had my order completely wrong from head to toe. My sticker with my name is on it, but what's in the bowl? All wrong. Wrong rice, lettuce, protein, missing the feta and Broccoli. People can be allergic to things, so this is pretty bad on there end to do! By my recipe and the picture, it's all completely wrong. Bad experience at this location. 6:40 pm got my bowl and checked out. Staff unfocused on the line. Giving half scoops and barely any product. Being directed by a woman to do other jobs before finishing up with the guest in front of them. $2.50 for half a small avocado? No way. Wasn't going to write a review but then half way through my bowl I see this chicks strand of hair in my bowl. Gross -_- immediately stopped eating my food and threw the rest away. read more

The employees were rude and give out small portions and you ask for more they want to charge more. I went there tonight around 9 PM and they were cleaning up so I know they were trying to close so I asked for a rice bowl. They gave me very small portion of rice and they gave me small portion of greens. The protein was decent. I asked for toppings one the employees got mad because I couldn't see the toppings and he was like oh look on the glass. I'm a visual person. Long story short I asked the guy again. Can I get some more rice instead he gave me more protein I didn't ask for protein, but I thought he was gonna hook it up when ring me up he charge me $17 instead of $13 and I walked out and the employee was nonchalant about it so I'm going to call headquarters and talking to the manager . This isn't the first time this happened to me in the Huntington Beach location. The Costa Mesa location was the best one they give you bigger portion and better customer service. I'll will be returning back. read more

this is the far best the Cava location that I've been going. the staffs seems to enjoy what they do and I've always receive very good customer service. Luna the manager does excellent job ensuring the food are fresh and have all the sides ready. the line is quick because they have 4-5 people helping customers on peak time. I highly recommend this location better than others. thanks again for adding services to the community. read more

Really sucks that the experience isn't consistent. Going from a grand opening top notch experience to today's mediocre at best. Came on a Friday 7/25/25 right at opening. They don't have name badges so can't call out any names but dang I usually have a great experience at all the Cava I go too. This one not so good. Two dudes helped me make this bowl. Funny one of the dudes helped this girl in front of me, she asked for an extra pita he said I gotchu. I asked for a little bit of lentils on top of my little salad and little rice. He ignored me and then I had to ask again and he's like next time I'm gonna have to charge you. I laughed I said ok. I should have been like what about that extra pita she asked for? Then the next guy nickel and dimed me for an extra garlic sauce on the side. If I asked for garlic sauce on top you would put as much as I want but on the side only two cups. If they were filled all the way, I would have been ok but they weren't. That's why I asked for more. If this is proper procedure then all my past experience the employees just didn't care enough to say something. I'm paying over $15 a bowl a little extra sauce isn't going to hurt CAVA. Worse part the dude didn't even close the cap of the Skug all the way. Got to my car and the sauce isn't all over the place in the bag. Luckily the food is consistent and quick. read more

Considering it was a holiday weekend, you would expect a larger crowd. Upon arrival they did not have half of the products available and employees were rude. I dont know if it's just night time employees or what, but also employees shouldn't roll their eyes because we were asking questions about lacking products. I don't want to reduce this place to "Mediterranean Chipotle" but that's the easiest way to describe it. Love this damn place so much. Everything is so flavorful. Get the app so you can get free stuff. Can't go wrong with the steak + harissa. Ambiance is chill. Ample seating inside and outside. I'm a tea/juice/condiments bitch and there are 8272818 choices. So worth getting drinks at this place omg. And the sauces, have at it. So many on point, so delicious. Service has been great every time I've been there. Only potential gripe is there can be a wait sometimes-- probably attributable to the small font on the menu and people being unfamiliar w the offerings. Heard the hype, but quite lackluster. Ordered the Harissa Avocado as the fan-favorite bowl to try Cava as it is. However, service was slow to move and bowls rushed to make. Didn't feel any enthusiasm from the staff. Also, the bowl looked unappetizing with the sauce splattered and the portion small for a $17 bowl. There were sides out-of-stock already after being open for an hour, too. All in all, flavors were decent and change of scenery but might prefer Chipotle still. read more

This location has been open just a few weeks I believe and it's still very popular, the line was a 25 min wait to the door Friday at 6:30pm. Friendly, helpful staff, good food, and hard to find a wholesome meal for under $15 these days but you can here. I recommend it! read more

A newly opened franchised eatery specialized in Mediterranean fast food. It's located in a shopping mall on the border of Costa Mesa and Huntington Beach. They have both outside and inside seatings, though the inside is a bit crowded. Good orders are taken in front of the counter. You select your bowl base - a variety of rice or lentil, dips, main entree, toppings and dressings. We tried the one with brown rice, lentil as base, humus, egg plant, tzatziki and most of the toppings plus yogurt dill dressing. All ingredients except the lentil were good. The lentil was slightly undercooked. The pita bread that came with the bowl was warm and nice, so was the spicy fried pita. Serving size was very generous. We tried 2 different drinks. The strawberry one was too sweet for my taste. The lavender blueberry was fine with the sweetness but it had a slightly soapy after taste. Overall, it was a nice change of venue (taste). read more

super bad experience in terms of service. food was great! however the employees here hate their lives and made me feel stupid. I asked for a tahini sauce and they ran out. I then asked them if they had anything similar. The worker just says "no." and stares at me. like damn okay. i ended up just getting a completely random sauce because i dint wanna look stupid. honestly awful people, but at least my bowl was pretty good :/ read more

The good: customer service cleanliness options to add to your dish (pickles, corn, pickled onions, etc.) All of the salad options were fresh and crispy Complimentary 1/2 piece of pita bread with my salad bowl Not so good: typical/nothing special hummus. Not bad but also not amazing, something you could easily pick up from TJs. The falafel is a weird consistency, it doesn't have a nice crunch to the outside. Tastes and feels more like rolled up garbanzo beans with a few spices. Again, not bad but also not great. The pita chips aren't really pita chips - more so a whole pita bread put in the fryer for a bit. It's more of a chewy, oily, fried bread than a chip. The roasted veggies seemed roasted in the morning, chopped up and kept cool through the day. I would eat here again if I had to but would rather go across the street to HB pita grill for fresher veggies, homemade hummus & crispy falafel. read more

First off I love cava so much so the Irvine, longbeach, & Fullerton locations see me sooo often. This was my first time trying the Huntington Beach location & it was an experience I'll never forget! It's closer to my home & the experience I had was amazing Tanya & Aaron helped me soooo much. They were genuinely so kind to me & made my bowl really fat. I asked for no salt on my pita, which can be an inconvenience, but they said yes with a smile on their faces. I will definitely be coming back to this location!! The location is very bright & booming with people. They are also close to the beach sooo cava summer!! read more

My husband went to grab me dinner from here. I told him what I wanted and he followed instructions. But when I saw my bowl....it looked like a half serving. There was barely any rice, I asked for extra picked onions (which he said he specifically asked for) and there was only a little amount, and a real small portion of protein. My husband said the girl at the counter seemed new and wasn't really sure when making my bowl. Maybe she did exactly what she was trained to do, but if that's the case, then I'm very disappointed with the portions they offer in general. read more

Also, as she was bringing in the furniture from outside she must have been eager to get off of work at 7pm sharp because she was hastily moving the tables and chairs in a loud, aggressive manner. Review of Huntington Beach Location I recently visited the new Huntington Beach location, excited to check it out since I've never been to Cava before. Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. Around 2 PM, I encountered staff who were incredibly rude. When I asked a simple question about making my order similar to the picture displayed, I was met with indifference. The first employee I spoke to told me she didn't know the ingredients, which seemed rather unhelpful when I was just trying to make things easier for myself. The second employee I interacted with was equally dismissive. She had nicely done eyebrows and a full face of makeup, but it felt like a trend where employees who are supposed to help customers dislike their jobs. I understand that every workplace has its challenges, but it shouldn't reflect on the customers. Considering that this location is new and food prices are rising--I paid $30 for a bowl--it seems like they might be driving more customers away than they keep. My best advice is to focus on customer service training for staff, improving their attitudes to enhance the overall dining experience. read more

My first time trying CAVA. Everyone was kind, patient, and genuinely seemed to care about creating a great experience. I expected it to be similar to chipotle's fast foodiness but I was surprised with the outcome. One of the team members, Adam, really made the experience stand out. He greeted me with such genuine kindness. He took the time to walk me through the menu, gave me a few solid recommendations, and just had a really positive energy that stood out. I tried CAVA for the first time and I'm officially hooked! Every bite was flavorful and fresh, and the garlic dressing was incredible (definitely getting extra next time). I had a really disappointing experience at this CAVA location. The customer service was extremely poor, and the employee helping me had a very negative attitude from the start. It felt like he didn't want to be there or make the food, and his tone and behavior made the whole interaction uncomfortable. Instead of feeling welcomed as a customer, I honestly left feeling disrespected and embarrassed. The lack of professionalism and basic courtesy really ruined the experience for me.
