Sumac Sour Cream + Onion Pita Chips
    Anita C.

I stopped by CAVA for a quick lunch and ordered takeout. I went with the braised lamb over basmati rice and lentils with a few toppings, along with a side of pita chips. The bowl looked great on the line, but once I started eating, the rice was hit or miss. Some of it was hard and clumped together, and I ended up removing those parts. The lamb looked really good but tasted like it could have used more seasoning. The portion size was also a little disappointing. The bowl itself is large, but the amount of meat and rice felt small compared to the size of the container. I ordered plain pita chips, but instead received the new sour cream and onion version. That turned out to be a pleasant surprise. They were fresh, had great seasoning, and ended up being my favorite part of the meal. I would honestly go back just to get those again. My son ordered the chicken bowl. He said it was just okay and agreed that the portion size felt small for the size of the bowl. Overall, it wasn't a bad meal, but it wasn't a standout either. If I return, I'd probably try a different protein option. Food: 3 out of 5 Service: 3 out of 5 Value: 2 out of 5 Overall Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

Tried the BYO bowl. I loved that there were so many options but the temporarily out of the white sweet potato which I really wanted to try. I got the grilled chicken and it was a bit too fatty for me. I think I'll do strictly vegetarian next time. Everything else was delicious though! The saffron rice was way better than I expected and I loved their sauces. Tzatziki was so good! The drinks are a must try.. I loved the blueberry lavender! Ample seating inside as well as outdoor seating. The service line went very fast and staff was friendly!

I am very much obsessed with Cava. I love to build my own bowl. I start with half brown rice and half super greens. For the dips I get Tzatziki, Harissa and Roasted eggplant... I love their Harissa Honey Chicken for my protein. As far as toppings... my most recent visit I got feta, fire roasted corn, fiery broccoli and extra pickled onions- the best part! You have to top it off with the balsamic date vinaigrette. You're welcome :). It's soo flavorful and super healthy. It's usually so much food... I have the other half the next day!

I recently discovered Cava this year and I've been hooked. I always get the Build Your Own Bowl, this time I tried the lamb meatballs and the honey chicken. I absolutely love Cava and how I can add different options like hummus and really load up on the vegetables as well. The Balsamic Date Vinaigrette is so good I wish they sold it in store! I also got the pineapple apple mint juice, it was a little on the watered down side so I opted for tea when I went back for a refill. Service is always super quick and everyone is very nice!

Cava in Lake Mary has quickly become one of my go to spots when I want something fresh and flavorful without the stress of waiting around. I usually order ahead for pick up, and I have to give them credit--my food is always ready right on time, and more often than not, it is actually waiting for me a little early. That kind of reliability makes a huge difference when you are trying to grab something quick during a busy day. Another thing I appreciate is how fast the line moves. At first glance, it can look intimidating because it stretches across the restaurant with hungry guests waiting their turn. But somehow the staff keeps it moving like a well practiced orchestra. Before you know it, you are already at the counter, building your bowl and wondering why you ever doubted them in the first place. Now for the one area that could use some love--the dining space. On a couple of occasions, the tables have been a bit too sticky to sit down and really enjoy the meal inside. It is not every time, but enough to notice. A quick refresh between guests would take the experience from good to great. Even with that small flaw, I would still give Cava in Lake Mary a solid four stars. The food is consistent, the service is quick, and the convenience of perfectly timed to go orders keeps me coming back. With just a little extra attention to the dining area, it could easily be a five star stop.

This is my Cava I go to or order from when I'm having it during the work day. It's a quick commute for me, right up the I-4. Ambiance is standard, but I do like that unlike other quick service restaurants that have been popping up lately, there is actual room to move around in the dining room, and actual seats to sit down and have lunch. No pressure to get in and get out. I like that. Service is always wonderful. It's perfectly optimized for me. I tell them which bowl I want, I tell them if I want any alterations made to the bowl, and I paying and leaving. Very efficient. Now the food, the food is redonkulous. It's Mediterranean based, so it's already delicious, with the feta, the tzatziki, the hummuses, the harissa, it's just so good. On top of the food being good, why I really frequent this place, they can make you a good bowl at a responsible calorie count! I count my calories, and if I'm going out to lunch, it's usually impossible to find a meal anywhere that keeps things between 500-700 calories, and if you do, you're eating a boring salad or a boring piece of grilled chicken on a cardboard bun. Here, I get the Tahini Caesar (550 calories- Grilled chicken, hummus, pita crisps, pickled onions, feta, romaine, arugula, Tahini Caesar dressing), I eat the delicious bowl, I have stayed on my health and wellness journey without straying from the path, and I am happy. Thank you, Cava. Your existence has made my life easier than you know.

I get food from here about once a week, and it never disappoints! Everything always tastes so fresh, healthy, and full of flavor. It's the kind of place you can rely on for consistently good meals that leave you feeling satisfied without being too heavy. Definitely one of my regular go-to spots!

Looove this place !! The food always gives me a "feel good" vibe and I don't feel sluggish after eating it which is always a plus!! Service is fast and we've always received fresh food I love the honey harissa chicken but it is alittle spicy if you enjoy that but the grilled chicken is just as delicious without the spicy. My go to bowl is: white rice , spinach , grilled chicken , roasted corn, tomato & cucumber , pita crisps , feta , pickled onions and balsamic date sauce on the side

So glad we did. The concept is very Chipotle-style, but for Greek food. You walk down the line and build your meal exactly how you want it: * Choose a base (pita, greens, fries, or rice) * Pick your protein (I went with the traditional gyro; my husband chose the honey balsamic chicken -- and WOW. It was so good I'm ordering that next time.) * Add toppings * Scoop on hummus and feta dips * Finish with sauces Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. My gyro had that classic savory richness you expect, but the honey balsamic chicken completely stole the show -- tender with a sweet-tangy depth that balanced beautifully with the toppings. The space is casual with simple metal seating inside and outside. No table service -- you order at the line and seat yourself -- which makes it easy for a relaxed dinner. The staff was especially helpful when we mentioned it was our first time, patiently walking us through options without rushing us. Our total was $40.49 for two people, which felt very reasonable for the portion sizes and quality. We left full and genuinely impressed. They do offer dessert options, but we were too stuffed to try them this round. Fresh, flavorful, customizable, and officially added to our rotation. We'll definitely be back!

We ordered the mixed grill platter- feeds 2.5 comfortably. The moussaka (eggplant stew) was 10/10. Definitely should've ordered a full portion. Sweet tooth kicked in as well so we opted for the kunafa (made with katayif and qashta) Qashta is a sweetened milk cream. Can't wait to go back and try other options. My husband mentioned the owner is super nice and welcoming. Give this place a try, especially since it is under new management. Five stars. 10/10 tastiness 10/10 service

The food was very good!…read more I had the falafel wrap ( but somehow it turned into the lunch special). My wife had a vegetarian platter, which came with soup and a soda. I had ordered and then I think the owner changed it along the way as he sent me the lentil soup and a soda. That was the special. The wrap didn't come with those things and I was really wanting it all. Anyhow, I think we straightened that out. The soup was really good and the falafel wrap was great. What made it great were the super nice falafels. I grabbed some of the hummus and tahini from my wife's plate to add to the overall flavor of the wrap. I felt that it needed much more tahini. I would add tzatziki, but they do not have that. Anyhow, he also threw in some baklava as a gift and it was excellent. So we will eventually be back, when we come back to town. Also the owners are super nice and very kind. At the end, out of kindness, he refunded me a few dollars. Great guy!
