Terrible service, barely gave me any rice in my grains bowl then proceeded to get extremely rude when I asked for more!

I AM OFFICIALLY A CAVA BABE!!!! I literally will be adding this to my weekly routine! I was VERY skeptical at first because I had a bad experience with Mediterranean food before. Isaac & Christian literally took their time explaining everything & allowed me to taste samples. There was another young lady that helped me with my topping sauces & she was super sweet too! There was literally a line behind me & they still stayed calm & helped me to build my bowl. I ate every single thing in my bowl! There was absolutely nothing left! HAHA. I will recommend Cava to everyone, ESPECIALLY this location! Thank you all soo much for a wonderful experience! I will be back! 1000/1000 Soo delicious! As far as the space itself. Lots of room to sit & eat with friends. We had a party of 7 & a kid! They regularly came out & wiped down tables, etc. it was all super clean & just great!

Cava is sort of a Greek fast food equivalent - the setup is similar to Chipotle - you pick a bowl or pita, then choose the toppings you want. I definitely love seeing some different-than-expected fast food options in this area. Usually it's just burgers and fries or Mexican food, so Greek food is a welcome change of pace!! The staff at this location were very friendly and it was easy to customize my order the way I liked it. The food is good, but I do think it's a bit on the salty side. This could be because I had them add kalamata olives - probably a mistake on my part because those are generally very salty. I still really liked my food despite the saltiness. A pretty great thing that I'm seeing in a lot of newer fast food chains like Cava is the amount of healthy options. I noticed that almost everything on the menu seemed fresh and on the healthier side. The interior was nice, and pretty typical of this style of restaurant. So if you're looking for a quick, yet healthy option for lunch or dinner, Cava is a good option!!

This place has become my new addiction! I love having this Mediterranean - salad type healthy option near home. I can still stay on my calorie deficit eating here as their website and app adds up all the calories for you. They are fast and accurate in ordering. Only time I've had any delay or issues is on Sunday afternoons when the lines are out the door, otherwise everything has been smooth! The hummus, pickled onions, tzatzikis sauce are a must and I love having a mix of steak & chicken as my meats. Everything tastes delicious!

I first tried Cava back in October 2023 and, unfortunately, had a disappointing experience with my custom bowl order. It was missing all of the dips/spreads selections as well as the feta, and attempts to reach the restaurant to resolve the issue were unsuccessful. As a result, I left a bad review. However, I reached out to them on their website to share my experience, and they went above and beyond to make it right. They loaded a gift card for a meal onto my rewards account, which I appreciated. Since then, I've been back several times and have had nothing but positive experiences. I've come to really enjoy the fresh Mediterranean fare at Cava. The pitas are my favorite, and I also love the kids' meals - they're so good! It's become a favorite spot of mine in Lee's Summit, and I highly recommend it to anyone craving delicious and healthy Mediterranean cuisine.

I made my own bowl with spicy greens, chicken, etc.

If you haven't tried this yet, you're crazy. 90 thousand times better than Chipotle (yes, I know the cuisine is different). 80 thousand times better than Qdoba. Worth every penny to have delivered of you don't feel like getting out. The service was great at this location when I went in a couple months ago. It was clean and had a chill vibe.

Grain bowl with sides of hummus, red pepper hummus, Skhug, and tzatziki

Absolutely DELICIOUS. I wanted to try the lemon chicken salad because lemon chicken is my favorite and I saw a review about it but after my third trip to CAVA in 2 weeks I've found my favorites! The grain bowl is the way to go and my absolute favorite toppings are the red pepper hummus, crazy feta, tomato + onion and pickled onion. The lemon vinaigrette is SO LEMONY and it's delicious! The skhug id never had before but I really enjoyed it - basically a Greek pesto. And the garlic dressing is a MUST I wish I could get a larger side of it. But the very best thing at CAVA is the pita crisps and red pepper hummus. I would go just for the sides. The only negative I have is the Blondie is almost $4 and it's TINY, it's decent but not worth the price. The cookie is better anyway. I'll definitely be back again and again- my new favorite!

Good fast casual food option. Generally healthy food, but sodium levels remain high. I had the Greek salad and enjoyed it.

I could describe every experience with this restaurant but I'll leave you with the previous few. And I know what you're thinking, if the food was so bad, why do you keep going back? Well, hope and optimism. Rooting for Roots! We want the local place to succeed, but we've come to the conclusion that what they really need in order to improve, is honest feedback. But part of me hopes that it changes nothing. And here's why... my wife and I love this place. But in a weird way... allow me to explain, imagine the place as a Saturday Night Live sketch where the staff, the menu and ambiance are unapologetically pretentious, but the food doesn't deliver on any level. It's pure entertainment. We have dinner and an inside joke. First of all, for the price, you naturally expect elevated dishes and excellent service. We both had a cocktail, a glass of wine with dinner, an appetizer, entrees, salad and desert. Around $250 with tip. Pricey, but reasonable if the place delivers. On one visit we had the duck, which was served undercooked and when we mentioned it to the waiter, she scoffed, "that's the way it's supposed to be served." So feeling duly chastised for our ignorance, we shut up and ate the duck. I don't know the organism involved, but my wife and I were up all night vying for access to the bathroom. Enough said. Things were dicey, but no trips to the hospital. Six months or so had passed and finally, last night we rolled the dice and tried Roots again. My wife said her dinner was fine. She had stuffed salmon, adequate, but not great. For me, It was between the steak and the pork belly. Now I had the steak before once and it was... well it was definitely a steak. I'm not going to say much about it except for this... if you like the taste of a good glass of water, order the steak. So having experienced the steak already, I ordered the pork belly, which is an extremely tasty and forgiving cut of meat in my experience. But somehow at Roots, they figured out how to prepare it poorly. Yikes! It was dry as a bone, but only in the places where it wasn't tough as shoe leather. It had to have sounded like a rock when it hit the plate. The naturally rich flavor was cooked completely out of it, and any surviving seasonings were successfully burned away during the cremation process. I was starving so I made a valiant effort at finishing it, but it took several glasses of water and an inordinate amount of chewing. My wife laughed at me the whole time. I offered her a bite but she demurred, quipping that it had been a long week and she simply didn't have the energy. It was served with a "slaw" that consisted primarily of a plain sliced onion and slices of flavorless apple devoid of seasoning or dressing. I honestly don't know how this dish made it out of the kitchen, let alone a chef's imagination. It has become a quest for my wife and me. Like the holy grail of dining experiences, only a few minutes from our home. Ever the optimists, we will just keep trying Roots again every six months or so and hope for better on each trip... or not. If you're looking for a unique dining experience, please try Roots. We want them to succeed so we can keep coming back and having these comically terrible experiences. If pretentious irony is your spirit animal, please try roots. And Roots, please keep trying. We will keep spending $250 bucks for "dinner" and a show. PS, to add to your experience, ask for a booth when you arrive for your reservation, they will look you up and down and politely say "no" as they walk you past 4 empty booths. No explanation...

I stopped in with my girlfriend Lisa, who loves this place so much they basically have a little corner reserved for her. She likes to work from there because the Wi-Fi is good, the vibe is comfortable, and the food is consistently amazing. We sat at the bar, had a couple glasses of wine, and Austin took great care of us. Lisa had the steak special, which was the ribeye, and I had the salmon. Both were really, really great. The salmon was cooked beautifully and the whole meal was exactly why I keep coming back. One small callout: there was a $3 difference between what the salmon was listed for on the menu and what I was charged. I let Austin know so they could catch it for future guests. It did not change my overall experience, but I appreciated being able to mention it. Brandon, one of the co-owners, is amazing. He came out and spoke with us, and that personal touch is part of what makes Roots feel special. You can tell they care about the food, the service, and the people who come in. Their happy hour is amazing, and their seasonal menu changes are superb. I love coming in and trying different things. The salmon tacos are delicious, the birria fries are a must, and I always look forward to seeing what new crostini they are featuring since those change every few months. Roots is consistent without being boring. Great food, great service, great drinks, and a menu that keeps giving you a reason to come back. Can't wait to come back. See y'all next week.

Service - so this was the first point of failure. Our waitress was attentive, but very loud. Additionally, she kept saying "perfect" to every response we had. Even the negative ones. I can't blame her, but some coaching is needed. Too many of our interactions were of the "hit and run" variety. She's programmed for certain questions and follow up, but doesn't really process the responses. Continuing on with the service, there were two of us, both ordering from the restaurant week menu. Well, one entree comes, not the app, nor the 2nd entree. This was delivered by what I assume was a manager (how he was dressed). No questioning about why he'd deliver one entree to a table with 2 people, so I had to ask about the rest and he was walking away. Again, a "hit and run" interaction. We did eventually get the app and other entree. Food - so we got the salmon dip app, two of the meatloaf burgers and the beignets dessert. The salmon dip was ok. Not especially flavorful, but not terrible. The pita with it was not good. It was overcooked as greasy tasting so it distracted from the dip. The burgers were mixed. I liked mine. It was flavorful, and juicy. My partner did not like hers. I chalk this up to personal preference, so would give this 4 stars on its own. The beignets. Wow, these were, in a word, awful. First, they were not as described as there was supposed to be some sort of fruit dip with it and it was missing. What we got was greasy blobs of cooked dough. These heavy, flavorless things were nothing like actual beignets. They were drizzled with this cheap chocolate syrup and this white, maybe vanilla stuff. This was a miss all around by this location. Hopefully a one off, but they've been around long enough that these issues should happen.

Most of my orders have been curbside pickup since it's right around the corner from my house, and the process has always been quick and seamless. Let me tell you about the Great Salmon Caper Sandwich. A soft, pillowy brioche bun, flaky grilled salmon, fresh lettuce, tomato, and onion, topped with a creamy, tangy aioli. It is quite literally one of the best salmon sandwiches I've ever had. When I say I'll never get sick of this sandwich, I mean it. It's a genuine 10/10 and one of the main reasons I keep coming back. The Cluckers are also excellent and come with an absurd amount of food. My only complaint is that the chicken pieces can sometimes be so large that the chicken-to-breading ratio feels a little off. Other than that, they're fantastic. The breading is seasoned perfectly, the chicken is juicy, and the price is extremely affordable for the portion size. The homemade honey mustard is also some of the best I've ever had and is easily my favorite dipping sauce on the menu. Wally's is one of those places that never disappoints.
