My kitchen is being remodeled, I can't cook but I eat super clean and was a bit worried eating out staying in my macros. I saw a few ads for CAVA on socials and ordered on the website to pick up. First off, it's so easy to build your own bowl and the nutrient info is at the bottom. I love the options of salad and the option put add sauces to the side. I made my own bowl, photo attached for me order but WOW when I got home, i was pleasantly surprised by how good it was!! I'm skipping the hummus though, I chose too many "sauces" - I'm a garlic girl and the garlic sauce has me in a chokehold. The older male manager is stingy with portions. I have gone two weeks in a row and he always gives either me or my girlfriend half scoops of protein or rice. The food is great, tasty and good potion. The service is sub par this visit. We went on Thursday after Christmas before going to a movie, we got there at 1:30p. We were 5 in the party and we all have different order and we order to-go. When we got to the counter to pay up, the lady had an attitude seems like she doesn't want to help. To make things worst, she put all our order in one bag, with no identifier whose who? When I asked her, her reason was "I don't know, I don't have a marker to use!" The food is pretty good however the service is slower than what's reasonable. When there are long lines there are like 2-3 people up front and everyone rise is doing other things (although not standing around at least). We were in a hurry though so that didn't help. The thing that killed us was that we put in a $70+ order and the staff refused to label the order with our names. The server actually said "we don't have a marker". We talked about it later and the consensus was, "well get a marker." We took the food to go and ate quickly on the go but had lots of confusion as to which order was whose. In the end one of the kids just didn't eat because they couldn't be convinced their food was what they ordered. For a $70+ order get something to write with. Food is good but service is lacking. Mistakes on my pick-up orders every single time. First pick up order: Staff almost forgot to give my my drink cups. Not sure why they didn't have the cups near the pick-up bag, but I would've left without them had I not remembered. Second order: Forgot the side of pita chips added to my order. Third time: Ran out of regular hummus, replaced with red pepper hummus, proceeded not to tell me during pick-up until I double checked my order before leaving. Also, they were hella skimpy on the side of pita chips and only added 5 pieces. Is that really standard? I'm amazed at the fact that all the ingredients are so different and full of a variety of flavors but perfectly mesh with one another! Just recently, I came here after a movie since I was hungry for something on the healthier side and I am really glad I did. Upon walking in, it is set up like a cafeteria style restaurant, almost like a Chipotle but for Mediterranean food. They have some bowls and pitas that are already created on the menu but they also have a build your own option. There's a lot of vegan and vegetarian options throughout each station when you order your item(s). I ordered the build your own bowl with a pita on the side. Everything that I had gotten was crisp and fresh; the falafel itself was really tasty and didn't feel oily at all. The customer service was awesome as I had mentioned that it was my first time being there and the guy mentioned what I could get to start with, what pairs well together, and what items that happen to be vegan/vegetarian. So he was incredibly helpful. The location is easy to find since it's one of the first stores you see as you pull into the large shopping center. It's right across the Peet's coffee shop and there is more than enough parking in the area so you won't have trouble with finding a space. read more
