When you arrive at the restaurant and are looking for the takeout orders, the employees usually ignore you. However, I went today, Sunday, assuming they would be great but was very disappointed. The lentils were delicious and the harissa chicken was so flavorful with a little bit of a kick. I love that you get as many toppings as you want and it comes with pita bread. I was looking forward to having CAVA but the staff member making my food drop the sauce on the floor, saw her pick it glove touched the floor and still continued to make the rest of my food. I also only got a drink to try the cucumber lemonade saw it was empty and asked if they will refill it and they said it would be a wait. I love CAVA! I was craving it with my brother Aljay and so we came here after a men's retreat in Hemet. I love the flavor of the food when the combination of garlic sauce and hummus and red pepper sauce, and roasted vegetables and chicken and fiery broccoli collide. It is truly a glorious experience. I wish they had one in Bellflower. The lion has been packed for a full hour, and there's no question. Why: the food and service here is worth the price and worth the wait. My family and I absolutely love Cava's crave-able meals, so we come whenever we get the chance. However, the service is absolutely degrading. The workers are frequently rude and lack speed of service. At first, we excused this behavior because of it being a new location and we thought "hey, they might just be getting situated, maybe they're under overwhelmed." However, after this last experience are utterly disappointed in their customer service. The employee (Alyssa) was taking our payment at the register and accidentally separated our order. My sister and I both have experience in the food service industry and understand that accidents happen, and things get misinterpreted. However, instead of being understanding and addressing the situation, she rolled her eyes and said "well when I repeated the order, I only said those two bowls." Unfortunately, this is not where the encounter ends. She then charged for the last bowl (of course), and we asked if the Taziki sauces for the pita chips had been included. She asked for clarification on whether we meant the Tahini or the tzatziki (we confused the two) and continued to give a really mean attitude, instead of offering her insight. We are aware that she was frustrated, but her actions are inexcusable. The last straw was when we asked Alyssa for a bag. We had three bowls, pita chips, two dips, and the pita bread that comes with the bowls. Rather than handing the order to us or bagging it for us, Alyssa instead slides the entire order over to us, letting our pita touch the counter. While she is doing this, she also addressing the gentleman behind us and ringing up his order. This was while we are scrambling to put everything away in a timely manner. The Moreno Valley location is a mess. The staff are visibly checked out, the service is unprofessional, and the basic ingredients like pita crisps and feta, were out. One employee even dripped pickled onion juice over my bowl without asking, didn't say a word, and didn't offer to remake it. On top of all that, they don't offer a military discount. If you actually want your order done right and to be treated like a human being, make the drive to the Cava in Rialto. I just don't have good luck here, I've been to 3 of there locations and thus one, by far is the worst. Maybe I'm going in at the wrong time? Both visits? Went in today, the place was a mess! At time of paying, Abby, was extremely rude, her attitude and eye rolls. I asked about my rewards and she was extremely rude in response, so I asked to speak to the manager and apparently she couldn't speak to me.. Abby returned and Landon came to help which he was capable of doing so and was much more friendlier. Maybe Abby was having a bad day, or something but she clearly needs some brushing up on her customer service skills and not be the one taking peoples money. I paid quite a bit and was even over charged to be dealing with her attitude. The food is good, and what I ended up having because it's pretty much all they had was the spicy chicken. For me it was a bit spicy but over all it's good. I don't think I'll be going back to this location, I hope they get there act together because it's the closest one from where I am - 30mins away.
