I always look forward to coming to CAVA whenever I'm in the East Coast as it's one of my favorite spots for a nutritious meal. I like that they have a large variety of salad mixes as well as the option of lentils for the base. The eggplant and roasted veggies are my favorites, as well as the lemon tahini dressing. During this visit I tried the falafel--a little too salty but great texture, although I still prefer their chicken. Hoping they open in the Bay Area eventually! read more

I've had Cava at various locations in CA and always appreciated the fresh healthy choices along with good portions sizes. I decided to order from the NYC location and was very disappointed. The ordered arrives and the bag felt nearly empty upon opening it. The bowl was filled not nearly halfway and with the super veggies and lentil base, this was actually 1/3 of the bowl when packed down. For $25 this is a terrible value and I expected more. Unfortunately I will not be ordering from here again. read more

I feel like I was tricked. I loved having cava all the time when I was in the office and I was so excited I had to go to the city today and could finally have it again. Unfortunately, I will not be back. I paid $12.54 for a half a bowl of food. 4 falafel balls?! I go to Taim and it's $8 for a bowl that's overflowing and has too many falafel for me to even finish. This is really a shame. read more

First time I had Cava and I must say I was very impressed! Fresh ingredients, healthy, big portions, and great prices is what comes into mind. You can choose between ~4 types of veggies or grains, choose 3 out of ~6 dips, pick 1 out of ~4 proteins, have unlimited toppings, and top it off with a sauce of your choice. Eggplant dip, chicken are my favorites here! The tzatiki sauce was also great, and the lemon herb tahini taste fantastic and healthy. There's no inside seating here so beware, but that's usually fine as you can take your food across the street and eat at Bryant park. Would come back here again if I need a quick, healthy, and decently priced meal! read more

I normally love CAVA, but had a bad experience at this location today. I ordered two grains and greens bowls for delivery, but the bowls that arrived were missing both pitas, all the spreads, and even some of the toppings. Very disappointing. Will not order CAVA for delivery again or come to this location. What I received was not worth the price I paid. read more

Went to NYC for the first time, and on our way to the SUMMIT ONE Vanderbilt, someone came out this spout and it smelled sooo yummy! We wanted to return to try it. So later in the evening, we had it for dinner. It was sooo good! I had the spicy chicken pita sandwich. I ate it all till the last bite!! I am a regular fan of Mediterranean food, and this was a perfect quick bite! The bowls are also very tasty! I will definitely return whenever I'm in NYC again. read more

small bowl but big portion! It was heavy when I got my bowl haha I ordered half lentil half veggies. The lentil was very good, great texture. Got 3 dips: hummus, red pepper hummus and eggplant. For protein I got half falafel and half roasted veggies, again good falafels, went well with the hummuses. Roasted veggies were great. Unlimited toppings! Choose whatever you want, I got roasted corns, tomatoes and cucumber, shredded lettuce?, pickled red onions (so good, added nice sweetness and crunch), purple cabbage. I got the tahini caesar dressing on a side, but decided not to add it since the dipping sauces was enough flavor for me! overall It was about 12+ bucks. Nice mediterranean flair, a good unique alternative to your usual salad places. The place could be a bit cleaner (waiting area), but overall good experience. I so love this Cava location. The service is always A1, staff is always very helpful & patient. Sauces here are always on point, more so than other locations I have been. Proteins are always cooked just right, harissa chicken is my FAVE! & don't get me started on their toppings, pickles onions enough said ! Absolutely LOVED this place! On July 9th, 2022, I was at the New York City Public Library, then went out to Bryant Park to work on some reading and writing. I got a little hungry and had every intention of going to Chipotle nearby, then I saw Cava and something compelled me to walk in. And I'm SO glad I did. I loved the choices to build my bowl, two being lamb, which I got! It tasted so good and so fresh! Definitely my kind of place, with the gluten free choices, many sauces and fresh food! Will def be dropping by when I need a quick and good meal. read more

I've been wondering what the hype was about here!! I got the spicy chicken and avocado pita thinking it would be easier to eat than their salads (severely mistaken!). Although the food was spot on, the pita was very difficult to eat, and disassembled to the point that I had to eat it with a fork and knife. My friend ordered the greek salad, and although the olives were missing and portion was small, she also enjoyed it. read more

I actually liked this place more than I thought I would. I'm usually a little hesitant with these kinds of places where you get to mix and match your ingredients because usually the lettuce is floppy, the meats are dry, or all the sauces and flavors don't mix well together. I found their salad mixes to be fresh. I enjoyed the lentil base as it was filling but not too heavy. You can select a meat (I got the chicken which wasn't dry), and as MANY toppings as you want which was my favorite. Their dressings are also good. Everything complemented each other well no matter what I chose to put in my bowl. It was refreshing and a good, healthy meal. Really great prices too for something that must've weighed 1-2 pounds (at least mine anyway- maybe I'm also exaggerating but it was heavy!). The only thing I didn't like was the pita bread as it was rather dry and tasteless, but I would definitely go back for the bowls! read more

I went to cava today (6/11/25) around 2:30pm. While the other servers were extremely nice, this one server (he was at the vegetable counter at the time) was extremely impertinent. The other servers had no problem hearing me, but the moment I started speaking to him about my order, he told me to speak up in a very passive aggressive tone. Throughout the entire time I was ordering, he kept on yelling at me. I have NEVER experienced this kind of treatment at a restaurant. He could have just said "could you please speak up?" Instead he continued to talk to me in a passive aggressive tone. I was so stunned that I wasn't even able to say anything back to him. Even after we left the restaurant, my friends were asking what had happened and asked me if I got scolded by him. I seriously hope he doesn't treat other customers like this. NO customer should ever have to go through what I went through. He should seriously learn some manners. I regret not getting his name. I'm only giving a 1 b/c of this; otherwise, the food was amazing. read more

This is not only the best Cava in all existence but it is easily one of the best fast-casual spots in NYC. Why? Exquisite Service .every .single time. Generous/ fair portions/servings. Ingredients are always super fresh. Dining area is always consistently clean. The staff is extremely friendly and hard working. My order is always correct, delicious, and made quickly. No wonder the Chipotle next door is always empty. TLDR Everyone at this location deserves a raise and CAVA needs to allow their employees to accept tips. Please make this happen. read more

Wanted something light and healthy for diner and a lot of greens of course. Just yelped "salad" in search and this spot caught my interest since I love Mediterranean cuisine. You get to build your own bowl and I picked Greens + Grains as my base, Harissa Honey Chicken as my protein (which is really flavorful and tasty), Red Pepper Hummus + Hummus + Tzatziki (you get to choose 3 spreads and these are the recommended spreads from the staff), corn + cucumber + tomatoes as my toppings with a little bit of Yogurt Dill as my dressing. All I can say is I'm super satisfied with everything in the bowl. You don't even need a lot of dressing because the spreads are more than enough for the flavoring. It was so good that I finished the entire bowl! I've never had CAVA before and I'm so glad to have tried it out. This will be my go to place if I every crave a quick Mediterranean salad bowl. read more

Came in for lunch when I was in need of a nutritious veggie meal. Cava offers highly customizable Mediterranean sandwiches and bowls. I opted to get a falafel bowl with a delicious lemon tahini dressing. For the price (~$12) I thought that the portion was a bit small, but the bowl was so densely packed with protein that it was still filling for me. Super delicious, super nutritious meal! This branch of CAVA is definitely made for the lunch and "on the way home" crowd. Located right across from Bryant Park, don't expect to be able to sit down and relax here. This is strictly a *to go* location only. When you first walk in, there is a mobile pick up area and a section with bags, napkins and utensils for you to pack up your order. Deeper inside is a long counter where you start at the back and work your way towards the cashier station. Both times I have gone it was after work so the staff seemed to be in the middle of both cleaning up the place for he night and serving people at the same time. The staff looked absolutely exhausted, but I will give credit where it is due. Despite their obvious exhaustion the staff was very nice and got my order together without a problem. I give high marks to them for this. The food here is very good. It is not the best Mediterranean food ever, but for a fast casual place it makes for a good lunch or dinner. I've tried various combinations of their dishes and he only one I would probably not get again is the falafel. They are no the traditional, crunchy ones, but instead are some type of softer kind that's not really to my personal taste. If you're on the go, this is a good place to stop and grab a bite! read more

Fool me once, shame on you . Fool me twice, shame on me. I can't believe I gave them another try. They tease you with a really big bowl making you think you are going to have a really big meal for your $13.30. But they have trained their staff well on serving control, and you get a pretty ordinary sized salad, with exactly the amount of everything they intend you to get. A small scoop of hummus, a few falafel, etc. They give you a small piece of Pita bread (maybe 1/16 of a round), but that's it. The falafel was a bit mushy but not terrible. The cold toppings are really COLD, as in almost frozen which is jarring along with the hot portion of the meal. They do have brown rice, which was a nice surprise. Would I give them a third try? I don't think so, but you never know when you will be really hungry and they will be the only place open. There are typically a lot of street vendors nearby that will sell you a great falafel platter for half the price! read more

I don't know. I don't have words. CAVA has been and continues to be among my top three lunch spots in the city for about three years now, and I have tried more than my share of options. I have never visited this location without seeing a line stretching out the door, spilling far down 42nd St, nearly to the Sweetgreen a few doors down, if that can speak for itself. The menu is simple yet expansive, caters to almost every diet and palate, can be made healthy or hearty depending on your choices of toppings and spreads and dips, and despite its midtown surroundings, it maintains its reasonable pricing across all of its outposts. I like ordering ahead on their website by designating a pickup time, so I can skip straight ahead and pick up my bowl sorted alphabetically for ease. If you have the planning to order ahead, really consider including CAVA in your staple rotation. Ingredients-wise, I can vouch for the: Basmati rice and supergreens bases; eggplant + red pepper, harissa (!!), tzatziki, crazy feta dips; falafel and grilled chicken proteins; nearly alllllll of the toppings and dressings (nearly because there's a couple I haven't tried yet). read more

Having never dined at Cava I wasn't sure what to get - it would have been helpful to get some assistance. Try doing like Panera and have sample meals posted. Ambiance was minimalist. I enjoyed an $8 margarita for the Monday Marg Madness happy hour special. After a half hour, I began to wonder when my food would come and a plate of piping hot, perfectly seared chicken arrived in front of me. This dish was fantastic! It was filling and just the right amount of food. I would visit again and appreciate the hospitality!

I got the spicy and it is low spice level - packed full of flavour, spaghetti squash is tomatoey and delicious, all the veggies I had were perfectly cooked and seasoned - I also tried the cauliflower and broccoli (not pictured) which were great. This is one of the few truly healthy takeout options that isn't packed full of salt sugar and additives - it tastes fresh, delicious and light. Though the portion looks quite small, it is actually very satisfying (and I can eat a lot) They get super busy (good for them as a small business!) so be aware of this when ordering at peak times in terms of wait time - my only complaint is, it is pricy - the steak in particular is quite a significant add-on. That being said, I paid for it twice in one day, so it is clearly worth it, but if I wasn't visiting - and this was a regular go-to - I would like to see prices a little more competitive. Simply Chicken was juicy and packed with flavor - I think it's probably the garlic infused olive oil 2. The spaghetti squash (absolute favorite) - love the texture and the taste to it with the sauce, I can't recommend this enough 3. Gigante beans had good texture and felt satisfying to eat 4. Carrots were decent I can't wait to try more variations within the box options, I will be back!

This is a busy location, and all kiosks were being used, so there was a bit of a wait. I placed my order and went to find a seat - unfortunately all the tables in here had some kind of dressing or trash on them, so I had to make due and clean up after the last person who left. My bowl was ready in about 5 minutes or so, was made correctly and had generous amounts of all the toppings I had picked - though the piece of salmon I got was really small and dry. Overall, not a bad place to eat lunch if you're looking for something healthy and don't mind dropping $20 on lunch. I do miss the days of watching them build my bowl so that I could've asked for a better piece of salmon.

The warm quinoa and the chicken were fantastic: You know SG is making a play for Chipotle's customers by offering what's basically a rice base with a chicken and salad topping. I was not a fan of the spicy broccoli which I found too salty. If you overload your plate with toppings it will easily go over the Chipotle price point: You'll know what's happening now that you have to enter it all in yourself on one of 3 tablets at the counter that divides the public from the kitchen. Can't wait to see the lunch crowd at the new spot!

I personally don't care for soggy fries and don't understand why that's a thing, but I seem to be alone on that because my whole group loved them. The meats are where this place really stands out. They're a level above some other spots I've tried. I had a gyro from another place that I would consider our "usual," and this meat was definitely a grade above that. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the meal and would eat it again. There were some complaints about extra charges for extra white sauce, which apparently many other places don't do. I can't personally verify or validate that, but mentioning it since I heard it. My brother-in-law said they waited about 40 minutes and that's crazy to me. I would never wait that long for this type of food. I will never wait more than 10 minutes for a "rice over" dish in 2026 at any place. The novelty wore off in the early 2010s and my time is more valuable than that. But if someone brings it to me, I will absolutely devour it without hesitation.

The L'Industry is genuinely one of the best pizzas I've had, maybe the best. The burrata on top is fresh and creamy and takes it to another level. Fair warning: the crust is not the typical crunchy NY slice you might expect. It's softer, more of its own thing. I didn't mind it at all, the dough itself is really good, just go in without assumptions. Plan for a wait. The line is part of the deal here. Worth every minute.

Our wait was at least an hour and a half and were texted when our table was ready. They have indoor and outdoor seating with one bathroom for all to use. We got the viral pancakes and they were everything you'd dream they be and then some for sure very filling and buttery. I got a "pick me up" and it was perfect gave me a beautiful caffeine kick to start the day I recommend for sure. Weather you come for the viral moment this feels like a solid staple in the community with bright music playing everyone kind of everywhere and just a relaxed feel that you can't wait to enjoy after you get seated. The pancakes were fantastic but I don't know if I'd wait hours and hours again for them - but they were very good and unique. Fluffy and moist with a good amount of honey and butter. The drip coffee was decent and there was just a good old small diner feel about the whole place. I do recommend it if you want the experience but just be prepared to wait. Fun fact- there's a private pool room right across the street you can book an hour and play a game while you wait!!

They don't take online reservations for groups over 5, so we called to make one for our group of 6. It was pretty busy Friday night, so would recommend. The service was great; they drew the cutest card when they found out it was my brother's birthday and let us bring a cake. And they also offered hair ties to the people with long hair. It's one of the larger stalls in the market and has some seating, but not enough, and the market seating is very limited as well. I ordered the hibiscus lemonade and the very spicy Dan Dan Mian. I loved watching the staff prepare the noodles while waiting. My bowl was huge and absolutely delicious. It was very spicy as promised, but not too spicy that it was rendered not enjoyable. I looked at other orders and everything looked delicious, leading to only semi-regret of my choice. My lemonade was very good. I'm very much looking forward to returning.

The broth was too salty for me but I just didn't drink it and it made all the other ingredients taste good. Pretty good portion for the price too.
