I've been to this location a handful of times and have usually had a good experience, but today was very disappointing. Is Cava becoming the new Chipotle? I ordered online for pickup, and both bowls were very bare. One order was the Grains Bowl with half lentils and half saffron rice. The lentils were undercooked and still hard. The store was busy, but service itself seemed normal. However, the food line area was messy, and the way the food was being scooped and served didn't inspire much confidence. Normally, my regular order is filling enough that I can't finish it in one sitting and usually save some for later. This time, we finished everything easily. The portions felt more like a kids' meal than a regular serving, which was very disappointing. Overall, the portion size and food quality did not match what I've come to expect from this location.

The service was great, the food was great, and the outdoor seating area was pleasant. It was my first time trying Cava and I was pretty happy with it. I would get it again for sure.

While visiting friends who live in One Paseo, we stopped in Cava to pick up some dinner. I ordered a grains and greens bowl with white rice and the power greens, with crazy feta and tzatziki sauce. For my protein, I love the spicy lamb meatballs, but they had a fresh order of grilled veggies come out, so I added those. Everything tasted delicious, but I finally tried the pita chips and I'm obsessed!

Really fresh ingredients at this location! I feel like the other locations add too much salt so I was pleasantly surprised that the flavors of the hummus and dressing didn't overpower the bowl. I ordered for pickup and service was on time on a Sunday afternoon. They have nice outdoor seating too.

This was my first time trying cava after wanting to for awhile and it DELIVERED! The service was so great, the ladies that helped me were so kind to point out the different options for proteins and sides. The bowl is the perfect size, perfect proportions, and the flavors all just go so well together. I got a BYO greens & grains, with power greens, brown rice, 50/50 steak and chicken, added portion of falafel, corn, pickled onions, tomatoes, olives, and avo, tzatziki/red pepper hummus/crazy feta, and topped with yogurt dill and Greek vinaigrette. I opted for no drink today, but the juices/teas all looked so good too. This location was really clean, but not much parking right near the restaurant. I think there's a parking structure right there though. I took it to go, but the vibe was very chill and welcoming.

I introduced CAVA to my colleagues and they absolutely loved it! We each built our own bowls and ordered a drink. They have a variety of juices, all incredibly yummy! I got a mixed bowl with grains and salad, topped with chicken and pretty much all of the toppings available! It was a pretty bowl, and a very satisfying one too! The restaurant was clean and spacious, with plenty of tables for indoor dining. There were also tables with umbrellas in the courtyard.

I love the concept of Cava. It's always appealing to be able to choose exactly everything you want. I love all of the veggies and options. I'm a fan of the Greens and Grains bowl. I get so many healthy veggies. It's filling and high nutritional value. The harissa adds a good kick!

i absolutely LOVE cava, but oh man this location wasn't good service. i don't know this workers name but he had curly hair and wore earbuds while taking our order and was just so rude. he was rushing us and looked super pissed off that it was my friends first time at cava, so she was trying to decide what to get. his attitude overall was super off-putting and just plain rude, even gave super small portions compared to literally every other time i've had cava. other than that the food is always incredible and i do recommend eating at cava if you haven't tried it yet. :)

This place was busy when we went for lunch on a weekday. There was a line with about 20 people so it took awhile before it was our turn to order. I ordered the lamb meatball bowl and it was delicious. I added the harissa for an added kick. I wish there was more greens in it though. My lunch was almost $30 for the bowl and juice plus tip. It's a little pricey. I also wish they posted an additional menu for those standing in line. The one at the front was too small to see until we got closer.

I've been to this CAVA location several times now, as it is a quick and convenient lunch spot. I place my order online for pickup, and I have not yet experienced a delayed or missing order. However, the last time I ordered, all of my dips and spreads were missing... I'm keeping my rating 4 stars since usually this doesn't happen, but I am disappointed with this last time. Overall though, I appreciate that CAVA is a quick and healthy option (albeit just a bit salty), that is also affordable. Another thing, usually during the lunch hour the regular line is long and there isn't much seating available. I suggest ordering online and taking it to-go to eat elsewhere in the One Paseo plaza.

Love this place! Yummy Mediterranean food and love all their drink options. My fav was the cucumber mint lemonade! I love how many toppings you can add to your bowl. Everything is so good and tastes so fresh. The sauces are great and so much to choose from. I also love this location! Family friendly as well. There's a big grass area we hung out at since we could eat and let our toddler run around. I can't wait to come back for their food!

The building where this eatery can be found was in the middle of the complex and not visible from the roadside. That made it difficult for anyone not working in one of the adjacent offices to find this place. If you were not from on-site like me, then it's best to pull into the below ground parking structure at the 11220 El Camino Real address and then exit on the surface level to follow the sidewalk signs to reach The Kitchen. The operating hours were limited between 10 am to 3 pm on weekdays. I would have thought they would be open early to serve breakfast hours and maybe that is in the future plans. There were large tables outside for al fresco dining while the inside seating was modern and spacious. It resembled what you would find in the lobby of an upscale, boutique hotel. I read the seating capacity was up to 200 diners. Four menu boards hung above one of the service stations where the cashier was situated. Salads, bowls, and sandwiches were the main categories. A make-your-own bowl or wrap bar was also available for custom made creations. From the Chef's Choice Bowls, my selection was the Soba Salmon Noodles. Three small pieces of soy sesame glazed salmon were accompanied by buckwheat soba, cabbage, cucumber, carrot, edamame, and green onion. If you look at the photo of my order, then you will notice the meager serving as the amount of food did not even fill half of the bowl. That was disappointing for a price of $15. The taste of the mix was fine as the soy flavor was prominent. Between the portion size and the challenging location, I limited my rating of The Kitchen at Torrey View to three stars.

What happened to this location :(…read more I can't see myself returning after today's visit. I stopped by to get a quick Cesar salad (minus chicken) as I was so hungry and nearby Del Mar. The place was empty but alot of to go orders being prepped. A guy helped me and I asked for all kale for my base. The portion seemed small so I asked him for more base kale and he gave me side eye. Keep in mind this is for their BASE (not toppings or premium toppings) - just the base (you'll see portion at end). I subbed tomato for cabbage and then he added the small scoops of parm and cheese crisps. Then tossed with Cesar dressing (it didn't look familiar this time around). The portion was so small that he even looked at it when ringing it up and I was waiting for him to say 'you want me to add more base' but instead shrugged and said 'it's b/c you omitted chicken'. Thanks guy. I could only shake my head when I opened the container. It wasn't even half full. And for $11. I could have gone to Jimbos for a bigger portion at their self serve salad. Or gone to Urbane Cafe (my fave place right now) for ahi kale salad for $13.95. The salad tasted bitter today (like radicchio for some reason) and the dressing didn't taste like their familiar Cesar.
