Came in last night with a group of friends. Quick service and really helpful to my friends who were first timers. Food was great I think I'd just like the protein portion to be a bit more.

Kids meal with no pita :(

They had no pita!!! I understand that it happens, but they didn't let me know until the very end when I was getting ready to pay. It might not be that big of a deal to people, but I think it would be a courtesy to tell the customer before they pay that they won't get anything as replacement. The food that was available was good, and the seating was plentiful both indoors and out. But I felt like the service could have been a bit better.

The service was great, the food was great, and the outdoor seating area was pleasant. It was my first time trying Cava and I was pretty happy with it. I would get it again for sure.

I've been to this location a handful of times and have usually had a good experience, but today was very disappointing. Is Cava becoming the new Chipotle? I ordered online for pickup, and both bowls were very bare. One order was the Grains Bowl with half lentils and half saffron rice. The lentils were undercooked and still hard. The store was busy, but service itself seemed normal. However, the food line area was messy, and the way the food was being scooped and served didn't inspire much confidence. Normally, my regular order is filling enough that I can't finish it in one sitting and usually save some for later. This time, we finished everything easily. The portions felt more like a kids' meal than a regular serving, which was very disappointing. Overall, the portion size and food quality did not match what I've come to expect from this location.

While visiting friends who live in One Paseo, we stopped in Cava to pick up some dinner. I ordered a grains and greens bowl with white rice and the power greens, with crazy feta and tzatziki sauce. For my protein, I love the spicy lamb meatballs, but they had a fresh order of grilled veggies come out, so I added those. Everything tasted delicious, but I finally tried the pita chips and I'm obsessed!

Really fresh ingredients at this location! I feel like the other locations add too much salt so I was pleasantly surprised that the flavors of the hummus and dressing didn't overpower the bowl. I ordered for pickup and service was on time on a Sunday afternoon. They have nice outdoor seating too.

I introduced CAVA to my colleagues and they absolutely loved it! We each built our own bowls and ordered a drink. They have a variety of juices, all incredibly yummy! I got a mixed bowl with grains and salad, topped with chicken and pretty much all of the toppings available! It was a pretty bowl, and a very satisfying one too! The restaurant was clean and spacious, with plenty of tables for indoor dining. There were also tables with umbrellas in the courtyard.

I love the concept of Cava. It's always appealing to be able to choose exactly everything you want. I love all of the veggies and options. I'm a fan of the Greens and Grains bowl. I get so many healthy veggies. It's filling and high nutritional value. The harissa adds a good kick!

This was my first time trying cava after wanting to for awhile and it DELIVERED! The service was so great, the ladies that helped me were so kind to point out the different options for proteins and sides. The bowl is the perfect size, perfect proportions, and the flavors all just go so well together. I got a BYO greens & grains, with power greens, brown rice, 50/50 steak and chicken, added portion of falafel, corn, pickled onions, tomatoes, olives, and avo, tzatziki/red pepper hummus/crazy feta, and topped with yogurt dill and Greek vinaigrette. I opted for no drink today, but the juices/teas all looked so good too. This location was really clean, but not much parking right near the restaurant. I think there's a parking structure right there though. I took it to go, but the vibe was very chill and welcoming.

i absolutely LOVE cava, but oh man this location wasn't good service. i don't know this workers name but he had curly hair and wore earbuds while taking our order and was just so rude. he was rushing us and looked super pissed off that it was my friends first time at cava, so she was trying to decide what to get. his attitude overall was super off-putting and just plain rude, even gave super small portions compared to literally every other time i've had cava. other than that the food is always incredible and i do recommend eating at cava if you haven't tried it yet. :)

This place was busy when we went for lunch on a weekday. There was a line with about 20 people so it took awhile before it was our turn to order. I ordered the lamb meatball bowl and it was delicious. I added the harissa for an added kick. I wish there was more greens in it though. My lunch was almost $30 for the bowl and juice plus tip. It's a little pricey. I also wish they posted an additional menu for those standing in line. The one at the front was too small to see until we got closer.

I've been to this CAVA location several times now, as it is a quick and convenient lunch spot. I place my order online for pickup, and I have not yet experienced a delayed or missing order. However, the last time I ordered, all of my dips and spreads were missing... I'm keeping my rating 4 stars since usually this doesn't happen, but I am disappointed with this last time. Overall though, I appreciate that CAVA is a quick and healthy option (albeit just a bit salty), that is also affordable. Another thing, usually during the lunch hour the regular line is long and there isn't much seating available. I suggest ordering online and taking it to-go to eat elsewhere in the One Paseo plaza.

    So good!

Worth Every Penny! Our Guests Are Still Talking About Criscito Pizza!…read more We hired Criscito Pizza to cater our daughter's baby sprinkle. They were hands down one of the highlights of the entire celebration. Our package included all eight signature pizzas and every single one was outstanding. The Honey Basil Garlic was definitely a crowd favorite, with the perfect balance of sweet and savory. Guests also raved about the Lasagna Pizza (my own favorite!), Sweet Heat, Calabrian, Mushroom Truffle (this was devoured immediately), Margherita, the little kiddies favorites...Pepperoni and NYC Cheese. There was truly something for everyone and not a single pizza disappointed. The crust deserves its own review! It is organic! Several of our guests commented that it tasted like fresh artisan bread...light, airy and perfectly chewy with just the right amount of char. Friends and family who drove down from Los Angeles said the pizza alone was worth the trip to San Diego (and of course, spending time with us! :). Others called the flavors "extraordinary" because they were unlike typical pizza. You can tell Criscito uses high-quality ingredients and takes pride in EVERY pizza they make. The fresh spinach salad with feta, dried cranberries, walnuts, olive oil and balsamic glaze was also delicious and paired perfectly with the pizzas. But what truly made the experience exceptional were Desiree and Matthew. They worked tirelessly throughout the event, constantly baking fresh pizzas, replenishing the buffet, and serving our guests with genuine smiles. I started calling them the "Pizza Fairies" because they seemed to sprinkle a little magic on every pizza they made. They made everything look effortless while providing first-class service. Another thing I appreciated was how self-sufficient they were. They brought their own electricity, potable water, plates, napkins, and utensils, so I never had to worry about a thing. They handled everything professionally from start to finish. Criscito Pizza isn't the cheapest caterer you'll find, but this is one of those times when you truly get what you pay for. The quality of the ingredients, the artisan craftsmanship, the incredible flavors, and the outstanding service made every dollar worthwhile. If you want your guests talking about the food long after your event is over, book Criscito Pizza. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Desiree and Matthew again. They helped make our daughter's baby sprinkle unforgettable and I can't recommend them highly enough!

Everything was ready in about 20 minutes. I liked that the dressing was on the side. The dressing was great and they give you lots of chicken! I liked both of my pizzas! The dough was good! I ended up getting some gelato after. They only have a few flavor, but I'm glad I saved some room because it was very refreshing!

4/5 The Craft Taco…read moreat SOVA definitely has a more upscale, high-quality feel compared to your average taco shop. The building and interior are really nice, everything felt clean and well kept, the AC was great, and even the restrooms were clean and nice. The location is a little hidden since it's tucked inside the SOVA/Sorrento Valley business district, but there's on-site parking along with indoor and outdoor seating. They also had vegan options, which is a nice plus if you're eating with people who have different diets. Service: 5/5. The staff were very friendly, professional, and well groomed. Our food also came out extremely quick, probably within about 5 minutes. My wife ordered the carne asada fries and gave them a 5/5. I ordered three pretty plain tacos--carne asada and chicken with just cilantro and onion--and personally I'd give the tacos around a 3/5. One thing that stood out immediately was the tortilla. Instead of a traditional-looking corn or flour tortilla, the tacos came with a black-colored shell/tortilla, which definitely fits the more modern "craft taco" style of the restaurant. The tacos themselves are also bigger than the small street tacos you normally get, although I wouldn't call them huge. The meat wasn't bad, but it also wasn't extremely flavorful to me. I personally prefer tacos where the seasoning and flavor of the meat really stands out, especially when ordering something simple like carne asada with cilantro and onion. My biggest complaint is the price. Around $5 per taco is pretty expensive in my opinion. My three-taco plate was around $18 and came with rice and beans; I substituted the beans for extra rice. The rice was probably my least favorite part. It was more of a long-grain seasoned/American-style rice with corn and small pieces of tomato or vegetables mixed in. The texture was also a little firmer and less soft. I personally prefer the softer, shorter-grain style of authentic Mexican rice you normally get from a traditional taco shop. That part is definitely personal preference though--I could see other people liking their style of rice. Overall, this feels much more like an upscale/craft interpretation of Mexican food than a traditional hole-in-the-wall taco shop. The atmosphere is great, service was excellent, food came out fast, parking was easy, bathrooms were clean, they had vegan options, and my wife loved her food. For me personally, the tacos were decent but lacked some flavor and were a little expensive for what I got. Atmosphere: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Speed: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Wife's carne asada fries: 5/5 My tacos: 3/5 Value: 3/5 Overall: 4/5 I'd come back, but next time I'd probably try one of their specialty tacos or another menu item instead of keeping my order so basic.

What a super chill venue!…read more Went here with my sister's friends for Sunday brunch this past weekend. The venue is pretty stellar! They're dog friendly, have large grassy areas and corn hole; it's such a vibe. It's all about the outside dining area and that awesome wall of jasmine flowers. It was breezy and the scent traveled making the experience super unique. We were famished and everything on the menu looked next level good. Our waitress Cynthia answered all our annoying questions. I got the lavender lemonade to start and it hit the spot. The lavender was perfect, not too perfumy (not a word apparently but it is today) but enough to say ok, there's lavender in there and I like it. It was refreshing. My main meal was the chilaquiles which had a nice kick to it so beware if you can't tolerate any spicy flavors. It was more of a soup in presentation but I love sauce and may have licked the bowl because I'm classy. We also desperately wanted the side of potatoes because we kept seeing it and all of us ended up getting an order and did not regret it. The potatoes include the skin, salted and super crunchy. It's like fry well fries and I'm all about it. We will be back!!!

We came for Sunday brunch and arrived about 15 minutes early. Although about half the tables were empty, the host told us, "You can't sit until it is your appointment time." The greeting felt unnecessarily unwelcoming and set a disappointing tone for the visit. We were also looking forward to the live music, but the singer was placed far away from the guests, seemingly performing for a separate area rather than the restaurant as a whole. As shown in the attached photo, he was left alone while performing. It did not feel respectful of his talent, and it did not match the live-music atmosphere we expected. The food was okay, but overall we would rate it 3/10. The highlight of the visit was the service: Sunny and the other servers were truly amazing and deserve 5/5. Their kindness and effort prevented our overall rating from being even lower. We hope the restaurant can return to the warm, welcoming, fun atmosphere it used to have.
