It's like the Middle Eastern version of a Chipotle, at about 20% higher prices. I ordered the steak Charissa, but opted for half steak and half chicken. Pros: The wide array of tasty side options, the friendly staff, and the fast service. Cons: the meat was lukewarm, and did not taste fresh. Meanwhile the steak was TOUGH and largely inedible (I frankly think there was more gristle than actual meat). For a few dollars more, I could've ordered at beautiful, freshly made kebab plate from my regular Middle Eastern spot. Granted, it would've taken about 20 minutes longer. But I know it would've been delicious. Bottom line: if I'm in a pinch for time, I might try this place again. But I'll stick with the chicken! Also, I'm being generous with the three stars, because I know they're very new. read more

The worst service ever, ordered on the app around 6:20. I show up when they texted me it was ready around 6:38. We stand there waiting as 4 employees help one customer. After 3 minutes he sees us and says something finally. We tell him we are waiting for a pickup order he says okay give us 3 minutes. Cool we sit down, 5 mins later nothing. 8 minutes later still nothing. We go up and spend another 5 minutes waiting for an employee to acknowledge us. We ask again about our order and the employee goes to the back and comes back with our bag. We asked if it's just been sitting there and he says yeah. I love Cava, so I was happy that they open a new store that is only 10 mins away from where I work. Since it just opens recently, I kept in mind that they would make mistakes here and there, but my experience was great overall. The place was clean and bright filled with nice posters indicating their specialties and promotions. The staff were friendly and happily to answer any of my questions. I got my usual full rice bowl with spicy chicken with all my favorite toppings, which I customized according to what I was craving for the moment. It was a pretty tasty bowl, and their Pineapple Apple Mint Juice was a must have. The price is reasonable for a quick but high quality lunch meal. I will definitely come back. read more

Wife and I went last night and the food was delicious, everyone was friendly, and we loved the ambiance.

Seems to be understaffed. Had one person running the line and moving all the way down to the cash register then coming back to serve the next customer which was quite slow when there was 4 people in line. New location so I'm sure working out some stuff. FYI asked for extra pita and they charged me $5 for it. Portion size is smaller than other locations. FYI I love cava and have visited many locations in NY and California and have always had a great experience prior to my last trip. I enjoy it to the point I bought quite a bit of stock. read more

I've never been to a cava where they give you such tiny scoops of food. Let's be serious the food here is delicious but I'm not gonna get ripped off when I can drive to Sherman oaks and get an actual real amount of food. The scoops they use are ridiculous and the workers there act like they don't want to be there. There's other jobs out there if you don't like it. read more

today was a really REALLY bad & dark day for me. i have been crying off & on all day, i have been in a pretty bad space for a while. i knew i needed some gruel because the idea of cooking was not happening. i pulled up to cava becuase its an old reliable for me. the line was pretty long but they were clearly under staffed and working so hard. an employee who's name i believe was flor helped me and just had the kindest eyes. i wasn't up much for an interaction but the one we did have was civil. another employee helped me throughout the line and when i got to the register, flor came back up, looked at me, and said "this one is on us, i really hope you feel better soon." i looked at her in shock as they continued to pack up my stuff and just said "that was so nice" and started crying again. this was my first cry of the day that wasn't of sad tears, but tears of hope. i felt so safe for just a minute. thank you flor and to the rest of the staff at cava tonight, you quite literally were my beckon of hope today. read more
