Service was great. Good clear communication and were patient as I asked three questions .

Consistently good! Service is quick and efficient. My favorite is the harissa honey chicken. If you have a smaller appetite or don't want any leftovers (the bowl is always enough for two meals for me), I recommend getting a kids' meal! Comes with a pita (1 meat, 2 toppings), one side (rice or salad), one dip, pita chips or carrots, and a cup of juice (I recommend the cucumber mint)! I asked the server for a bit of dressing on the greens, otherwise it is served dry. Comes out to $8.39 for the whole meal! A steal these days to have a filling, healthy meal for less than $10.

A little cold on the inside but everything was nice and clean. Staff was nice. The food was delicious, can't really go wrong when you can create it yourself. So many different options and everything tasted nice and fresh.

The food is always so great when I go, it's never disappointing! The staff are great and they have plenty of seating both indoors and out.

Stopped by for my Sunday dinner on the low, and of course it didn't disappoint. I actually ate on it all day that's just how much is in the bowl. I chose lamb meatballs only as my meat preference, roasted corn, cabbage slaw, brown rice, tzatziki, and a little red pepper hummus. I was very disappointed in the drink selection however I chose the sweet tea but it was not sweet so I added a hint of homemade lemonade ( still flavorless) but the ice cubes were the bomb. The location was very busy but the moved swiftly and I opted to dine in and ate on the go. 8/10

What they gave me.. completely missing the protein

I've never left a review before, but this experience with CAVA was really frustrating and disappointing. I placed an online order and traveled over 30 minutes to pick it up, then waited another 30 minutes once I arrived. We were told the saffron rice was too hard to serve, so the bowls were made with brown rice instead, which we hadn't asked for. I was told I'd have to contact support for a refund since the order was placed online. After all that, they agreed to still make our bowls so we wouldn't leave empty-handed, But when we got home and opened the bowls, one of them still had the "too hard" saffron rice they claimed they couldn't serve. And even worse, one of the bowls was missing the chicken entirely. It honestly felt like they either didn't care or purposely threw the food together because we had already requested for a refund . I'm really disappointed in the quality, the service, and the way this whole situation was handled.

I also really liked the little corner both I sat in as it felt very secluded. The service was great. They were really fast and efficient and gave good serving sizes with each of my topping selections. I really loaded everything onto my salad, and I got a small salad, but it was super filling, and I don't think I could have finished a large bowl. Definitely recommend getting a combo of the herb vinaigrette with the jalapeño avocado dressing. It created a nice limey flavor profile and added a zest to the entire salad. Also highly recommend paying the extra $3 and getting the pesto chicken. Needed that protein in my dish, and it was 10/10.

Usually I'll walk on a bad bar, but I stayed and ordered as not all of the green roughage was wilted, only about 3/4's. Not a fan of how all the vegetables are diced, rather than sliced, julienned, and diced. Except the carrots-- these were whole carrots, sliced, which is off for salad carrots. Other Salatas I've been too have the different slices to match the texture you want to and expect in a salad. The lady was super sweet, and provided great service-- but was very light-handed with toppings. I just asked for 1 or 2 more scoops of everything. I did get excited about the selection of flavored teas and lemonades-- only to discover that they were out of everything except the tropical green tea. I genuinely hate paying this much for a salad and having it miss all the marks. But I'm not interested in being placated here by a customer service representative. Maybe just do some re-training for this location. Everything should be so fresh, and cut correctly. And when your only drink selections are water and 6-7 teas and lemonades, it would be nice for at least half of them to be functional. As someone in culinary management, that would be a pretty solid move on y'all's part-- looks like a lot of the reviews reflect similar experiences, and this *should* be a high volume location.

However, my last experience with this establishment left a horrible taste in my mouth. Therefore, I am giving them an extra star for the previous experiences. On May 17th, 2026, my best friend and I had been looking forward to coming to Water Oak all day and had our taste buds set for the occasion. We were famished and had quite a day up until arriving. Upon entering the restaurant, we were very briefly greeted by the a Hispanic man who I assume is the manager and told that they were "no longer seating for the day". I glanced around and saw that every table inside WAS seated, however there were many tables outside that were empty. I asked about the patio stating that us where we preferred to sit anyway, and was met with that they were also not seating the patio at all for the rest of the day. However, there was a group of 3 women seated outside on the patio at that exact time. I didn't say anything, simply turned and left. After having "one of those days" hashing out something so minute with a person who clearly didn't want us in their place of business was not something I was about to do. Keep in mind, we came on a Sunday afternoon. Prime brunch time. We arrived at the restaurant around 2:30PM, and their website says they don't close until 4PM. I am a biracial black woman and my friend is white. I noticed a significant amount of White and Latino patrons, but a shocking lack of Black people. With Houston having one of the most diverse populations in the US, it is almost impossible not to see at least one individual of each ethnicity in a place at any given time. I am definitely not one that likes to pull the race card, because oftentimes that is not the issue. However, as someone who is familiar with the service industry I understand Sundays can be extremely overwhelming. And I am cognizant that not everything is that serious. But, I am also aware that a lot of people in the industry discriminate against people of color, with stigmas that we don't leave enough gratuity or we "don't fit the vibe of their establishment". And those 3 women seated on the patio? All White. After reading recent reviews, it seems that management is discriminating against people of color, more specifically Black folks. This is an extremely disheartening and sickening realization to make, seeing as I have given well over $1,000 worth of my money here but also enjoyed many meals without issue. To management: It breaks my heart to have to write this review and to be honest, I wouldn't have written it if I hadn't seen others posting about similar experiences in addition to also feeling discriminated against. I highly suggest that if you are "not seating" after a specific time, you announce this via social media or alert potential patrons with a sign or something of the sort. & obviously, there is such an issue with treatment towards POC that it is a noteworthy problem via your Google & Yelp reviews. You will have a much bigger fish to fry on your hands if you continue to let this issue go on unrectified. I would be willing to return if I felt things were to be changed for the better in the future! Hopefully this review sparks a much needed conversation and brings attention to an area which needs work.

The restaurant logo is different than other locations. The place was clean and had plenty of seating. We *think* the bathrooms were being renovated because there was painters plastic by the door. We didn't investigate further. We got our "usual": kid pizzas and a salad bar. The food was GREAT! The kid's pizzas were even better than other locations and the salad bar was the freshest I have seen in the last couple visits (at other locations). This visit I used my free birthday dessert coupon. The gentlemen at the counter recommended the Strawberry Shortcake and I went with it. Unfortunately, i actually didn't care for it at all. One of my kids tried it and didn't like it either. Should have gone with a brownie or something instead. Ah well, at least I didn't pay for it. The kids of course had their fill of the FREE ice cream. (I actually think this is their main reason for coming to Jason's Deli.) Cost is pretty fair. Kid's meals were under $5 and I think my salad bar was like $10.50-ish. The main negative was that there was a *bit* of a wait before having our order taken despite no line. The guy was friendly though. We'll definitely come back!

They even sell bulk items such as nuts, flour, nutritional yeast, dried fruit, natural detergent, oils, loose-leaf teas, etc. Some are made in-house, including vegan hot chocolate mix. I like getting my seasonings and spices here, opposed to the grocery store, because it is very fresh and hasn't been sitting out for years upon years on end. There aren't a lot of raw vegan restaurants down south of 45, but surprise, surprise, Natural Living has raw vegan onsite. I've only eaten there twice, and due to the limited hours throughout the week. I am only able to get down here on the weekends in the morning. I frequent Nokturne more as a vegan restaurant in CL, just due to the simple fact of the flexibility of hours. At Natural Living, I ordered the taco salad; it was vegan meat crumbles and veggies. There were more veggies than meat. A limited amount of dressing to lather the veggies, so it made the salad a bit dry, but tasty. I loved the peanut butter cookies on sale. They were my favorite. I love that they have a food fair program for organic fruits/vegetables from local gardeners. I'm not a big fan of organic anything as I feel that it is more of a marketing gimmick, but if others care about that, that's a perk. The program is very affordable. I've personally never tried it, but I always wanted to. The ambiance can be a bit off; the staff is sometimes nice, sometimes don't want to be bothered. The apothecary side of things system is just grab jars of what you want, and they weigh it, put it in baggies, and you pay for it. However, things can get complicated when there a multiple people on the apothecary side and there is nowhere to wait since the whole building is tight and small. Now the pricing; this establishment isn't the cheapest, but when you factor in the value of what you are purchasing with the quantity of goods, then you are getting a solid deal. They sell crystal jewelry, and parking is across the street. I always tell people I'm going to the apothecary, and when they Google it, they can't find it, so it is definitely a hidden gem. I would have given them 5 stars across the board, but with the very limited hours not good for the working class working between 8 am - 5 pm; they close at 6 pm, closed on Sundays and Mondays. I hate that, but I will continue to only come on Saturdays.
