Both times she will ignored me while on her phone and remained dismissive while taking the order. I tried a veggie burrito today and it ended up just being beans, rice, and cheese for $15. Cecilia's Taqueria is one of the longest tenured vendors at the Liberty Public Market in Point Loma. There's always turnover at this venue so I've bypassed visiting this spot because I am always looking for the newest toy on the block. I believe they are only the taco business operating in the market. There were ten different kinds of tacos on the menu. Each one was $5.50 or above except for the veggie and potato & cheese varieties. This seemed to be the common theme as most items were at least one to three dollars more expensive than if you went to a local taqueria outside of this area. I picked a Taco Plate for my meal which cost $15.75. Any two tacos could be selected with the exception of the Chili Relleno. Rice (white or Mexican) and refried beans were included. My two tacos were the Grilled Mahi and Grilled Shrimp. The first was dressed in caper remoulade, cabbage, and cilantro. The second had pasilla cream, cabbage, and pineapple habanero chutney as toppings. Both tacos were slightly larger than street size. The Mexican rice and beans were nothing special as they provided filler and something to offset the heat from the chutney in the shrimp taco. The mahi taco had a milder flavor profile that I preferred. If each taco had an a la carte price of $5.75, then that meant the rice and beans cost over $4 which was not worth it given the small scoops of each item. I have a picky eater that loves beans and chicken, and I requested beans and chicken. This employee looked at me and said "We don't do that." I was taken a back by the rude and dismissive attitude towards me and my 8 year old daughter. My usual experience for this request is received with normalcy and or a suggested solution. As I have never experienced this at the hundreds of Mexican restaurants or food trucks we have purchased food. After a long travel day and very hungry children, I quickly looked at the menu, trying to figure out how to simplify my order to make it work for my picky eater. This employee walked away, ignored me, and I decided not to spend my money at this place. While I was walking away, noticing his attitude, I had to say something so I just told him that he was being very rude. Then he decided to flip me off multiple times in front of my children and in front of all the other people around. I will never get to experience the food here because I cannot spend my money at a place that would treat a person like this and do this in-front of children. The flan was tasty but a little dense..I prefer a little lighter..the horchata was a little water down.. But the front lady was very nice..It made up for the other comment I just had.. Located in the Liberty Public Market, Cecilia's Taqueria is a solid option for Mexican food among the plethora of choices within the building. Prices were reasonable compared to their competitors within the market and the burrito was tasty. I ended up ordering a California Burrito with no sour cream. The staff was friendly and the preparation time was reasonable. The burrito was fresh and warm upon receiving it. Upon unwrapping it to start eating, the burrito was a nice size and hearty. The first bite revealed a generous amount of fixings. A good amount of tender carne asada and balance of the other garnishing. A solid burrito. Cecilia's Taqueria is definitely a reliable option if you're looking for Mexican fare at Liberty Public Market. I would return again in the future to try more items from their menu. read more

I had a slice of tres leches cake! When i tell you it was impeccable! I mean chef's kiss with popping lip gloss!!! The cake was flavorful, moist as it should be and firm so it was fresh and not soggy! A true slice of perfection! I was given 2- 50.00 dlls gift cards during the holidays for this restaurant, and i was excited to come check out this place, brought my girlfriend and by the time i had to pay, the gentleman at the register did not know how to redeem the gift cards, then i asked him if he could call either the manager or owner and instead they gave me her phone number to reach out, i ended up paying out of my pocket, to make matters worse, they made a mistake on my girlfriends order twice and i kindly asked them if they could re-do her order so on of the cooks gave us attitude and grabbed the plate and threw it in the trash and said, "well i'm going to have to make it again", which leads to my question, did they teach them about customer service? probably not, i saw another customer asking them to fix their order and same they did not seem very happy having to re-do another order. My first time visiting the Food Hall at Liberty Public Market. I stopped at Cecilia's Taqueria. The stall appeared very clean and well organized. The person taking orders, Luke, was friendly and made several recommendations. I settled on Shrimp Ceviche. It came with a generous serving of tortilla chips. It came with Victoria sauce, but I also got their house made red and green sauces. Both were great, but the red was my fav. The ceviche was delicious and my husband even enjoyed it. He is not usually a big fan of any ceviche. I wandered around the market after and there are many food choices in the hall, but Cecilia's will be my place of choice when I come back. read more

My husband tried a different vendor which is the beauty of a food hall setup like this. Both of my items were good, that is solid fare, but nothing exceptional. It was my first time eating at the Liberty Public Market and I chose Cecilia's as Mexican sounded good. There was only one guy working the front, so it was slow as he would take orders, payment, and give out food. He wasn't very friendly and was kinda rushing everybody to order. I ordered the ceviche tostada ($5.50) and corn cup ($4.50). The tostada had some sour cream, fish ceviche, two slices of avocado, and some hot sauce. It was good, but not anything spectacular. The portion of fish seemed fair. It was really messy as there was a lot of juice. The corn cup didn't seem worth it for me as for the same price I could've gotten a taco that would've been more filing. It was also really salty. I'm now looking at my receipt the next day and see that I was charged $1.50 for a small CUP of water. Wtf?? Ugh.
