Over the 10 days my family and I spent in Clermont, my sisters and I went there daily, sometimes more than once! EVERYTHING was AMAZING & AUTHENTIC!! We met the owner & his wife, Moe and Kim, as well as their children, and you just can't help but feel at home around them! The staff was super friendly, attentive, lively and hospitable, without being overbearing. You can tell that everyone at Cedar Grill truly cares about their customers! I think we tried everything from Burgers to Hummus to Falafel, and it was all GREAT! With that, you are also able to smoke hookah outdoors, so that is a plus! The baba ganooj, I provably spelled that wrong, tasted like jarred tahini. It was awful. The beef was decent. Everything they served was sloppy and strangely paired. I agree with Ron. Arrived for lunch at 12:30pm on a Thursday and there was very little lamb meat left on the spindle. Slices were very thin and only enough to stretch it for our party of three. I was told they were going to pile it on. Not so much. Our server was friendly and I over-heard her tell an owner/manager/cook that she forgot to tell him to "pile it on" for me. I've been picking up food from here about twice a week spending around 35$ each time and they continue to mess up my order. Last time they forgot to give me salad dressing and I had to drive back to get it. I've repeatedly picked up food from here because it's the only Mediterranean place around but they continue to mess up my order and today was literally the 5th time they forgot the dressing. I called them to inform them the dressing was once again forgotten and my order was once again wrong and they didn't offer me any reimbursement for my 35$ meal. I'm from New York typically a business would offer to come deliver your order correctly after making a mistake. I hate to have to write this because I did like this place but they are extremely incompetent. Half the time I go in there it's a bunch of middle schoolers working and they are just starting to make my food, when I call half an hour before and they tell me it will be ready in ten minutes. This is a good try from the owners to have a restaurant but lakes in some key areas. First the food was ok it's wasn't bad but also it wasn't great either. Over the top pita off citrus tower blvd has the best gyros in town hands down. Cedar is mediocre at best. This will be our only trip here at Cedar as we wanted to try it out and won't be visiting this restaurant again due to the food and so many errors from the staff on ordering. Simple and non-descript. Seems more like a casual burger joint than a place of middle eastern cuisine - oh yes, it's that too! Located next to the movie theater it's a convenient place to get a bite to eat. We went the middle eastern route getting a veggie sampler consisting of baba ghanoush, tabouleh and hummus. Pita was cut up in small pieces. Chicken shawarma and tawook were our entrees. None was anthing to write home about. Both chicken dishes were on the dry side. Unfortunately for them we had recently discovered Taboon Bistro (which I rated SIX stars) so there's no comparison here. Cedar Grill is good enough that if we were in the neighborhood we may make it one of our dining choices but I wouldn't go out of my way to go there. read more

The Chicken Schwarma consisted of dry chicken wrapped up with NO SAUCE, (chicken Schwarma is a classic for its AMAZING strong garlic sauce) pickles and extremely dry, thin pita. It was horrendous. I pretended I wasn't hungry and promised I would never go back. Well, peer pressure led to my visiting the restaurant again. I remembered the horrendous Schwarma, so I decided to order Shish Kabob. I mean, how can any middle eastern or Mediterranean restaurant mess that up???! Haaa. The meat was DRY DRY DRY! The rice was NOT LEBANESE! Lebanese rice is known for its vermicelli toasted noodles mixed in with the rice, which has oil and is VERY WELL seasoned. What I received instead was unseasoned parboiled rice!!! BLEHHH. Just to make sure I had a "wonderful" experience they served old lettuce that was wilted and soggy tomatoes for my salad. Also, a friend of mine ordered hummus and offered me to try some. It was CLEARLY not fresh or homemade. And it came with fried pita chips that tasted like they had soaked in oil for 2 days before being fried. Completely disgusting!! I will NEVER go back. Cedar Grill is a horrible excuse for a restaurant let alone one calling itself a Mediterranean/Lebanese restaurant. It is OVER priced as well. Save your time, money and taste buds. read more

Paid $70 for door dash to deliver a container of dry, nasty meat that had hard chunks in the beef and cartalidge in the chicken. It was bland and the "platter" literally came with meat and pita bread. They also forgot to send our humus. Perfect luncheon place, right next to the Clermont Epic Theater. I did not expect much as from the outside it is not the most inviting place. Also over a five or six year period quite a few places opened and closed fairly quickly. I had a hummus appetizer spread as I waited for my falafel pita sandwich. This hummus was as good as any that I have ever tasted. Fresh with just the correct amount of seasoning with a nice ring of paprika circling around the edge. The pita triangles could have been warmer but that is a minor thing. My falafel pita wrap was terrific. Every bite had falafel, which is usually not the case. It was great tasting. I asked for a small bit of extra tahini sauce to dip the wrap into as I ate which the attentive staff brought out. Tasty and terrific. I am comparing both of these dishes to those I used to order in Bklyn and these dishes rivaled those. My friend ordered the Cedar Burger, as he did not want Middle East food. He loved the taste and the giant size as well as the perfectly fried and seasoned curly fries. So before the movies, give Cedars a try! read more

I was excited about A Mediterranean food joint in my neighborhood but I was quickly disappointed. Can't see any of the food everything is behind the glass sneeze guard and covered. The falafel is from a box and you have to buy a half-dozen at a time. The fatuosh salad has Italian dressing on it. They're playing country music. Not getting a lot of Lebanese-feel from this place. The hummus and baba ghanouj was good. And the staff was great but that's pretty much the only nice things I can say. Sorry but two thumbs down. read more
