Delicious food, quick, quality, quantity, fantastic service, Ashley was prompt, kind, and handled the entire room like a star. No one was left wanting for anything. Seriously impressive. I look forward to my next visit. UPDATE 4/24 Returned, food was once again outstanding, our waitress was phenomenal, she was not only quick and concise but courteous. The Mega Meat Omelette is delicious, as is the Chicken fried steak, can't wait to try this place again next time!

This place is expensive for mediocre food. You will wait over 1 hr for your meal. Just one Waitress who is sweet and makes lots of effort. Must be only 1 cook because everyone had to wait over 1 hours. Place is clean and rustic. Was hoping Palo Cedro would have a decent breakfast but it's 2x more and will take forever to get breakfast. It's faster to drive into town and go to any basic dinner, food will be equal to taste but less expensive and you won't have to wait so

Nice location, easy access and parking available. We had burgers, and they were very good. I tried the avocado bacon burger and my partner chose the double western burger. Loved the Bun! *Local favorite- the place was packed!

Great food, great service, not sure why people are posting bad reviews. Linguica was very tasty and the hashbrowns were cooked perfectly.

For a country restaurant, this is as good as it gets. Good all American food, good friendly service, and very fair prices.

This is a bright and cheery, spacious atmosphere. Everything is nicely decorated and immaculate. The local flowers on the tables are a lovely touch. We especially love the kids corner with the toys. My little one loves to go straight over when we come in. There is a merchant corner that features local artisans: a great place to grab some nice gifts! Ordering at the counter keeps it simple and there is tons of seating available. Food is breakfast/brunch/lunch items. Some of our go-to items are the apple nut salad with chicken added, the breakfast Sammy, waffle, the fruit and yogurt bowl. Everything is made to order so it's all freshly prepared. Oh! How could I forget their always changing pastry/treat offerings!? The "Not a Cookie", carrot cake, scones, all amazing! They offer beer and wine as well if you'd like a mimosa with your brunch! Come check it out if you haven't yet, you'll instantly fall in love with the small-town charm, friendliness, and fresh food.

Located in the Placer Heights Plaza, next to Starbucks. Same plaza as Holiday Market and CVS Pharmacy. We were seated immediately as they were not busy. The menu was a bit different than online. Our server came to take our order. He didn't introduce himself and seemed like he didn't want to be there. We decided on the fried green tomatoes, fried chicken sandwich and catfish po' boy. When the po' boy came out, we thought it was burnt! We didn't know the catfish will be blackened by default. We thought it will be fried since it is a po' boy. The options can be blackened or fried based on the menu online. We were not given those options by our server. They brought out the food but didnt provide utensils until minutes later. Fried green tomatoes: It was good. Fried perfectly. The dressing that was tossed with the side salad was super salty. Catfish po' boy: Fish was tender but super salty as well. Fried chicken sandwich: Pretty good sandwich. Chicken was huge. The fries was so soggy, not crispy at all. Also very greasy. We were a bit disappointed as we drove out of our way to try this place. Nice ambiance though. I felt I was a bit underdressed lol

I ordered the breakfast burrito and my partner had some pancakes. The burrito was decently sized tasted fresh and was nice and filling, no complaints there. The pancakes were really good and fluffy. Staff was friendly whipped up some spicy salsa for me since my breakfast burrito needed a little kick and was very attentive. There's a good amount of seating for the size of the place and they had a small bar area which I thought was a nice touch. Solid little spot of people to stop by and grab a bite to eat.

We were the only ones inside as they open at 8:00am and we arrived at 8:30am. The women were very sweet in taking our order and preparing our coffee and breakfast items. The caramelized onion and thyme danish could have had more onion flavor in my opinion; it was very mild tasting but overall very yummy! The Lassen Breakfast Sandwich was TO DIE FOR. The croissant dough was EXTREMELY flakey (dare I say almost TOO flakey). Just prepare for a flakey mess! But the flavors of the fresh spinach, yummy egg, aioli and ripe tomato made the PERFECT bite! The banana bread latte with oat milk was the perfect balance of coffee, oat milk, sweetness. I was debating on adding some extra banana bread syrup but I will try that next time. They did forget to bring us a chocolate croissant that my niece ordered; but she was apologetic and brought it over and we paid for it afterwards. Forgot to take a photo but the croissant was more fluffy and not as flakey as the sandwich; there was a good amount of chocolate inside and my niece ate the entire thing! The interior is very cozy and feels like home and welcoming. The prices are a little steep, but for what you are getting (freshly made daily pastries, syrups, coffee), I would gladly support again!

¡INCREÍBLE!…read more een-kreh-EE-bleh Meaning... "incredible," "amazing," or "unbelievable." As a vegetarian (darn near vegan), I had the vegetarian breakfast burrito without the eggs or bacon. Extra, everything else, some cheese, sour cream and lettuce, and... Oh. My. God! What made it extra great was the toasted tortilla. Nothing worse than a soggy or leaky raw dough tasting burrito. First time there in 12 years and the chef (Manny's dad) nailed it! Thus, my "Incredible" in Spanish. Place was clean with nice selection of music, not too loud or cold. Like Goldilocks, everything was just right. My friend had the carne asada burrito and was equally impressed, finishing it in record time, despite their burritos being the perfect size. Big, without being jumbotron or all tortilla folded. Mr. Ortega is damn good at sizing up those tortillas, no waste, no extra folded up tortilla, no leak. Did I mention their salsa? Take your pick from their self serve area. Red, green, hot, mild and "sometimes hot" to choose from. Manny's a great waiter and no doubt son, husband and father, with his great personality and smile. God-ahh love family owned and run businesses. I'll be back!
