Only negative was waitress, while very sweet, had issues splitting bill between two couples. Even at end she put wrong items on my bill but after waiting for first error decided just to pay it. Wow! Service was prompt and polite. Margaritas were delicious. The free chips came with an unbelievable red salsa (that never got hot in your mouth but had a delicious smoky flavor) and a guacamole cream (so good). Went last weekend after seeing a lot of favorable reviews. i have to say I probably won't go back. The place is small, but with very high ceilings, so at least it's not too noisy. It was very, very bright inside. The atmosphere was ok, but it seemed like they were trying to fit too much in too little a space. The margaritas (house jumbo) tasted like lemonade. I won't go as far as to say they forgot the alcohol, but I couldn't taste it. The food was good, and presented nicer than most places. But the food (and salsas) were pretty bland, with almost no spice at all. My wife and I both agreed that it was essentially a 'Chili's' or 'Applebee's' version of Mexican food. My wife requested some pickled jalapenos to help spice it up, which they did bring us, for an additional $1.59. Service was good. Skip this place if you are looking for real Tex-Mex. read more

Shared the Plato Cancun and it was phenomenal. The shrimp is stuffed with cheese and a fresh jalapeño. The pineapple butter is subtle and sweet. The fajitas have great flavor and their grilled onion really complement the beef well. Both of their salsas are fresh and delicious. Drinks aren't too pricey. The restaurant itself is pretty small and cozy. They have free soft serve and their tres leches filled churros are awesome. All in all, this place was great! Second time here and the reviews are not lying. The food is GOOD!!! I had the chile relleno and my husband had the seafood enchiladas. The pepper was and fixings were delicious, the enchiladas had nice sized shrimp. We also had house frozen margaritas that were perfect. They weren't watered down and they had a good flavor. Very happy that a legit tex mex place has opened up near us. By far the best in this area. Have been here a few times, the Cancun fajitas are perfect, juicy, seasoned really well. This place is a joke... A very good example of a very bad restaurant! The waiter was drunk, and it is not the first time, as we learnt from the next door restaurant where we went to get wings since the food was so bad. This is one of our favorite spots. Great service and excellent food, neither of which ever disappoint. We've had burritos, tacos, quesadillas, tortilla soup, and salad on our numerous visits. Aguirre's is about a 5minute trip for me, so we are frequent diners. The meals are always hot, the chips are THE BEST... and the beer is always cold. They deliver too!!! The staff is always helpful and very friendly, even the young servers(which is usually not the case at most places). They offer a warm and sincere greeting as you enter and there really isn't a lobby- cause all their space is used wisely-to serve the customer! They've got a fully stocked bar, but I'm generally a beer kinda girl. Destiny was my server tonight- dining alone, getting some work done, she was attentive but not bothersome. She allowed me time to review the menu at my own pace, and they sat me at a booth, which is my preference but I didn't ask, cause I thought it'd be rude to insist on a booth when they could seat a more complete party in it. Try it out!!! Our usually server is Adam, who is great. He remembers our drink order and is knowledgeable about the menu(which has changed recently).
