A Repeat Visit That Did Not Disappoint! We first visited Centanni Italian Restaurant in Burbank a little over a month ago, and we were so impressed by the food, service, and overall atmosphere that we knew we had to come back. The restaurant is clean, cozy, and inviting, and the service is genuinely warm and attentive. We were especially happy to see Dania again--she was wonderful during our first visit and was just as knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly this time around. She always has great recommendations and makes ordering such a pleasure. On our first visit, we ordered the Calamari Fritti, and WOW--so good that three of us easily shared an order and still wished we had more! The Cavatelli with Italian Sausage Ragu was wonderfully creamy and flavorful, while the Tagliatelle al Ragu was simply perfection. The NY Steak Ravioli was my personal favorite--rich, savory, and absolutely delicious. The White Pizza also wowed us. And we can't forget the fresh house-made pastas--they are truly something special. But honestly, the complimentary house-made focaccia bread deserves its own shout-out. I could eat that stuff nonstop! For cocktails, we tried the Classic Mojito, which I preferred, and the Pomegranate Mojito, which was enjoyable but a little on the sweeter side. Fast-forward to today, and we were back with additional friend and once again, Centanni delivered! Because we loved the Calamari Fritti so much the first time, we ordered TWO orders this time. Let's just say they disappeared FAST. We practically cleaned both plates down to the last bite! My wife ordered the Cavatelli with Italian Sausage Ragu again because she loved it so much on our first visit--and she loved it just as much today. I decided to try something different and ordered the Homemade Pappardelle with Mixed Wild Mushrooms and White Truffle Oil with Italian sausage- Another winner in my book! The pasta was perfectly prepared, the mushrooms added wonderful earthy flavor, and that hint of white truffle oil brought everything together beautifully. Then came the Guazzetto di Pesce ordered by our 2 friends--OH MY! That lobster broth was incredible! Rich, flavorful, and so comforting that I could honestly have had a bowl of just the broth. We also took advantage of Happy Hour and sampled a few cocktails. The Rosso Spritz was a favorite for me, the Margarita was very good, and our friend went back to the Classic Mojito from our first visit. Every drink paired perfectly with--you guessed it--the irresistible house-made focaccia. Two visits in a little over a month, and Centanni has definitely earned a place on our list of restaurants we'll keep coming back to. Great food, beautiful house-made pastas, delicious cocktails, a cozy atmosphere, and wonderful service--especially from Dania. We'll definitely be back again and again!

Customer service was amazing and the ambiance was okay...but the food was absolutely MID and overpriced. I can't even describe how disappointed I was. The food had no flavor at all and one of our pasta dishes came out cold. I've always been curious about this place but after finally trying it, I should've just stayed curious . You're honestly better off going to Olive Garden or Cheesecake Factory because this was not worth it. Don't waste your time or energy on mediocre food. I'm actually baffled by how many positive reviews this place has. *** THE RATING IS BASED ON THE FOOD ONLY***

Centanni is my go too. Tonight I went away from my always Lasagne and tried the Roasted Chicken ravioli .it was literally a full roasted chicken dinner in a pasta .I could not get over the rich flavors and just how smooth the sauce was. Really hoping they keep this for a while. Definitely having this again .

I had dinner with a good friend at Centanni the other night. I've only been to Centanni twice, but I was very impressed with the food both times. This small Italian restaurant has a rustic charm about it. And the food...well, the food is excellent. My friend and I shared the beet salad and the homemade pepperdale with mixed wild mushrooms & white truffle oil. Both were fantastic. The service was great too! We're already talking about going back.

I'm perplexed & frankly, envious by any rating over three stars; where was this supposedly-amazing pasta the night my friends & I visited Centanni? My order of Ravioli di Zucca ($25) was ordinary, absolutely nothing that hasn't already been done to pumpkin ravioli with butter, sage, & parm. The rest of the dishes were equally mediocre. College bff commented that the white truffle oil in her Pappardelle was dialed up to an intense 130% when the chef should've stopped before reaching 100%. When I saw the pizzas the rest of our group ordered, I was glad I didn't make the same choice; perfect for a kid's amateur palate, but the thin layer of cheese & sparse toppings would make an adult pizza lover sad. Centanni is a casual spot with uninspired decor. The only plus side to our meal was our friendly server who regularly checked on us.

If I could, I'd give this place 10 stars I would,! The service was outstanding. Everybody was so friendly and hospitalable. Not just fake friendly, but just generally making sure you had what you wanted & needed. The food blew my mind. I had the calamari, for entree I had the linguine with clams (chef's kiss) and dessert I had tiramisu. Oh, and a glass of of BackHouse Merlot. I ate every bit of it, and bonus: My stomach didn't hurt afterwards.

What usually happens when you experience a restaurant for the first time can be exciting, mysterious, nerve wrecking or a combination of all three. If it's a restaurant you decided on with no recommendation from a friend or a review, it can be exhilarating or a crap shoot. In addition, it was my wife's birthday so the expectations were pretty high. Happily for us, this restaurant excelled on every level. To begin with, Karina, the delightful girl who greeted us as we entered, treated us as if she was expecting us and with such joy. She was both inviting and sweet as can be. She sat us at a lovely corner table that she made sure was clean and fresh, giving it an extra wipe before we sat down. Next, Nahun, a superior waiter welcomed us and took our order with the care and patience of a skilled surgeon. My wife had a severe gluten allergy and Nahun assured her that her meal will be gluten free and delicious. Her LINGUINE VONGOLE with a substitution of Gluten Free Penne was out of this world. The pasta had the consistency of regular pasta and was cooked to perfection. The clams in their shells retained all the flavor one comes to expect from them and more so. My wife had to tell Nahun that it was delightful and addicting. I ordered the CAVATELLI which is a homemade pasta with an Italian sausage ragu. I've eaten pasta my entire life and this was the best pasta I've ever had. The ragu was spectacular and should earn a Michelin Star. For dessert, they offered a gluten free, Flourless Chocolate Cake which was devoured and enjoyed. We asked both Karina and Nahun to let the chef know that we think that this is the finest meal we've had in Burbank in years and will be coming back again and again. The only problem for me is that I don't want to try anything other than my excellent meal but I have to be brave and trust that everything on the menu has to be superb. Bravo to the chef and staff of Centanni. We can hardly wait to return and bring friends to experience what fine dining is all about.

Amazing new menu, authentic Italian in the valley. Never disappointed when I'm here with my family. Great service and warm food and tasty meals

If someone told you that there was a world-class Italian restaurant, worthy of any Italian town in the old country, sitting in a non-descript strip mini-mall on Victory Boulevard in Burbank, of all places, you might be skeptical. Don't be. Centanni is just that restaurant. No one was more surprised than I was, believe me. Once inside you get immediate impressions and then some further details and refinements emerge as you settle in to your table and begin to appreciate the menu choices, the cleanliness (spotless), the friendly attentive actually caring service (thank you Marisa and Karina). And the entertainment (more on that farther down). Look at this place -- serious stuff. An austere black and white decor, the bar has color-changing lights, the floor is polished concrete, the ceiling is perfect and boasts cottage-like bulb lights amid sound-absorbing panels. The tables are wood, the comfortable high back upholstered chairs of gleaming leather (or pleather -- couldn't tell, they were so well done). Everything is first class, in perfect condition. Big black linen napkins, heavy duty cutlery, large frosty bottles of water that Marisa refilled wordlessly during our meal, two beautiful carafes of high quality olive oil and balsamic vinegar to accompany the freshly made rosemary flavored focaccia (two baskets, compliments of the house). The deep menu, again in black leather, as well as the specials of the day on the board. No fewer than six desserts including Tartino, Cannoli, Affogato, Creme Brulee, Dark chocolate fudge cake, and others. Half a dozen types of coffee, including lattes. Being both half Italian and a vegetarian, I have steep hurdles for a place like this to scale and they nailed them all. My litmus is gnocchi, so, of course, I was astounded to see two types! Two vegetarian soups, I got the green puree. Eggplant parmesan for those of us who love lasagne but don't want the meat. Exceptional salads, including Caesar cradled in a lacey Parmesan basket. I will let my pictures tell you the rest. But, as for the entertainment? In front of us and behind us were large screens showing relaxing scenes from Italy. I had been to many of the places shown, but many were new to me and each frame was a trip to Europe, beautiful, inspiring, accompanied by actual current Italian tunes of all genres. We couldn't have asked for more and couldn't get enough of it. Talk about atmosphere! And the tab? Unbelievably reasonable, just a bit over $100 and half of what I expected it to be. I am pretty picky when it comes to Italian restaurants but I have to say this may be my new number one. I can't wait to go back!

    Heirloom Tomatoes with Burrata

We had a great time here, will come back. We came here for three reasons. 1. We live in Burbank and it was close and wanted to support the business 2. They are a Resy restaurant so making a reservation was super easy 3. Well...don't you want a nice dinner for an anniversary? Overall the restaurant's service and hospitality are top notch. They seated us in time and were very much on top of things service wise during the meal. I mean our server constantly checked on us and made sure we were enjoying a nice anniversary dinner. They even were super nice in giving us a beautiful and delicious Tiramisu for dessert! But to start we did start with the heirloom tomatoes with Buratta which was def hefty! Just big and juicy tomatoes with such great cheese, olive oil and balsamic with some basil. Yum. I wished they would have gone with a little more basil bc what a wonderful herb that it!! I will say that they could make the place a little more romantic -- all it would take would be some lighting change (warmth and spottier) and maybe some paint for the walls weren't all white (but that's IMO). Anyways for the main course we enjoyed pasta which we both wanted and they were super lenient on switching my tagliatelle to rigatoni which is what I love with a Ragu meat sauce. It was great! The sauce was amazing esp with the focaccia tbh eh give you to soak all that sauce. Overall we were happy and would come back. Thank you Centanni!

Visited this place on the Yelp stars it had and for a company dinner and overall it was pretty good. I will give it 4 stars but more like 3.5. The great was the service, the calamari and the eggplant parm! All were super delicious! The average or below average was the steak and the dessert (crème brûlée) appeared to be out of the box or something and had chocolate at the bottom. A little odd. I would certainly eat here again but stick to the pastas that were all delicious and the calamari for the starter

VALID REASON this place is NOT BUSY. I had not been back in years and this used to be my favorite Italian restaurant in Burbank but our most recent experience as of April 29 2025 will thankfully be our last. Disappointing is an understatement. I wouldn't have given such a low rating if it were just my Spaghetti Carbonara that was dry with chewy pork BUT my husband's Ceasar Salad was old as you can see from the pics. His Ravioli was ok at least but when we complained about the food, the waiter didn't seem to care and took the plate away. I pointed out the ceasar salad being old too and he walked away. There was absolutely no point in wasting any more time to complain. Service and food have gone down. We got the check and they knocked off $3.50 from the $19 awful spaghetti and didn't even care that the ceasar salad for the lunch special was old and dry. I posted pics of the spaghetti and how much I tried to stomach down. I just hope the old chewy pork doesn't upset my stomach. My husband was trying to talk to the waiter of which I told him was unnecessary. There was no point in discussing an awful experience to a waiter who could care less. And the sooner we could pay this unjustified bill so we can leave, the better. In addition, some of the recent rave reviews I read are questionable from first time yelpers without a long standing profile. Does not align with real life experiences from other established reviewers. Eyebrow raising indeed.

Tagliatelle al Ragu but with parpadelle and salmon in the back

I am shocked that I have not written about this place yet as I've raved about this joint to many people who ask about Burbank recommendations. Their pasta is delicious and handmade, their ragu is so tasty... Anything I've tried here has been a hit in the tummy. They have a really nice sole filet if you're not looking for carbs, as well as a delicious salmon. Can't go wrong with the burrata and heirloom tomatoes. Def get a side of veggies so you don't get full off only carbs (if you're trying not to feel stuffed) but there is nothing on this menu that will disappoint Price is reasonable for the quality, they've got good service too. If it's just me and the beau, I prefer sitting at the bar. Kinda nice to catch a glimpse of what goes on in the kitchen. You won't be disappointed!

The restaurant has a couple tables inside and some tables in their outside patio. The tables inside are bar height. We were greeted with menus right away and was told the pastas weren't currently available. We ordered two of their pizzas, Pazza pizza and Prosciutto pizza, and two of their salads, Caesar and Antipasto. I really enjoyed the salads and the prosciutto pizza. The Pazaa pizza was good too but the cheese was very filling for me. If you love cheese, you have to try the Pazza. Ingredients are all very fresh! I would recommend ordering ahead of time because the pizzas did take awhile to make and bake, but luckily they had TV on so we watched TV while waiting. If I'm in the area again, I would definitely order takeout from here.
