If I could, I'd give this place 10 stars I would,! The service was outstanding. Everybody was so friendly and hospitalable. Not just fake friendly, but just generally making sure you had what you wanted & needed. The food blew my mind. I had the calamari, for entree I had the linguine with clams (chef's kiss) and dessert I had tiramisu. Oh, and a glass of of BackHouse Merlot. I ate every bit of it, and bonus: My stomach didn't hurt afterwards.

Visited this place on the Yelp stars it had and for a company dinner and overall it was pretty good. I will give it 4 stars but more like 3.5. The great was the service, the calamari and the eggplant parm! All were super delicious! The average or below average was the steak and the dessert (crème brûlée) appeared to be out of the box or something and had chocolate at the bottom. A little odd. I would certainly eat here again but stick to the pastas that were all delicious and the calamari for the starter

What usually happens when you experience a restaurant for the first time can be exciting, mysterious, nerve wrecking or a combination of all three. If it's a restaurant you decided on with no recommendation from a friend or a review, it can be exhilarating or a crap shoot. In addition, it was my wife's birthday so the expectations were pretty high. Happily for us, this restaurant excelled on every level. To begin with, Karina, the delightful girl who greeted us as we entered, treated us as if she was expecting us and with such joy. She was both inviting and sweet as can be. She sat us at a lovely corner table that she made sure was clean and fresh, giving it an extra wipe before we sat down. Next, Nahun, a superior waiter welcomed us and took our order with the care and patience of a skilled surgeon. My wife had a severe gluten allergy and Nahun assured her that her meal will be gluten free and delicious. Her LINGUINE VONGOLE with a substitution of Gluten Free Penne was out of this world. The pasta had the consistency of regular pasta and was cooked to perfection. The clams in their shells retained all the flavor one comes to expect from them and more so. My wife had to tell Nahun that it was delightful and addicting. I ordered the CAVATELLI which is a homemade pasta with an Italian sausage ragu. I've eaten pasta my entire life and this was the best pasta I've ever had. The ragu was spectacular and should earn a Michelin Star. For dessert, they offered a gluten free, Flourless Chocolate Cake which was devoured and enjoyed. We asked both Karina and Nahun to let the chef know that we think that this is the finest meal we've had in Burbank in years and will be coming back again and again. The only problem for me is that I don't want to try anything other than my excellent meal but I have to be brave and trust that everything on the menu has to be superb. Bravo to the chef and staff of Centanni. We can hardly wait to return and bring friends to experience what fine dining is all about.

If someone told you that there was a world-class Italian restaurant, worthy of any Italian town in the old country, sitting in a non-descript strip mini-mall on Victory Boulevard in Burbank, of all places, you might be skeptical. Don't be. Centanni is just that restaurant. No one was more surprised than I was, believe me. Once inside you get immediate impressions and then some further details and refinements emerge as you settle in to your table and begin to appreciate the menu choices, the cleanliness (spotless), the friendly attentive actually caring service (thank you Marisa and Karina). And the entertainment (more on that farther down). Look at this place -- serious stuff. An austere black and white decor, the bar has color-changing lights, the floor is polished concrete, the ceiling is perfect and boasts cottage-like bulb lights amid sound-absorbing panels. The tables are wood, the comfortable high back upholstered chairs of gleaming leather (or pleather -- couldn't tell, they were so well done). Everything is first class, in perfect condition. Big black linen napkins, heavy duty cutlery, large frosty bottles of water that Marisa refilled wordlessly during our meal, two beautiful carafes of high quality olive oil and balsamic vinegar to accompany the freshly made rosemary flavored focaccia (two baskets, compliments of the house). The deep menu, again in black leather, as well as the specials of the day on the board. No fewer than six desserts including Tartino, Cannoli, Affogato, Creme Brulee, Dark chocolate fudge cake, and others. Half a dozen types of coffee, including lattes. Being both half Italian and a vegetarian, I have steep hurdles for a place like this to scale and they nailed them all. My litmus is gnocchi, so, of course, I was astounded to see two types! Two vegetarian soups, I got the green puree. Eggplant parmesan for those of us who love lasagne but don't want the meat. Exceptional salads, including Caesar cradled in a lacey Parmesan basket. I will let my pictures tell you the rest. But, as for the entertainment? In front of us and behind us were large screens showing relaxing scenes from Italy. I had been to many of the places shown, but many were new to me and each frame was a trip to Europe, beautiful, inspiring, accompanied by actual current Italian tunes of all genres. We couldn't have asked for more and couldn't get enough of it. Talk about atmosphere! And the tab? Unbelievably reasonable, just a bit over $100 and half of what I expected it to be. I am pretty picky when it comes to Italian restaurants but I have to say this may be my new number one. I can't wait to go back!

We came back! So excited to visit again twice on our vacation and try some new dishes! On the first night, since it was warm outside and feeling like spring, I had an aperol spritzer. It's such a nice, refreshing drink. But then I ordered butternut squash soup haha! I had to since it's one of my favorites! And it didn't disappoint! It was a different take on it that I wasn't expecting but I embraced, it was on the spicier side, not temperature, but the spices were different like cumin or something similar. It was so good and even my husband liked it! We also ordered the Parmesan truffle fries, wow! Those were delicious. For dinner, my husband had the sole which I took a bite, and thought it was delicious and light. I ordered pesto with cavatelli pasta. I loved the pesto, fresh and creamy. On the second night, my husband ordered lobster ravioli as an appetizer, the pasta is just so fresh and melts in your mouth. For dinner, I had my favorite lasagna and my husband had the NY steak with an amazing peppercorn sauce! I should've ordered bread to dip it in that sauce, so flavorful! I had prosecco with raspberry syrup, always a favorite as well! We love the staff, Marisa, Tati, Oscar, Lauren, Karina all provide such a wonderful neighborhood feeling when you walk in the door. We met a lovely group of friends who have been going to Centanni for dinner for a long time which is always a great sign!

VALID REASON this place is NOT BUSY. I had not been back in years and this used to be my favorite Italian restaurant in Burbank but our most recent experience as of April 29 2025 will thankfully be our last. Disappointing is an understatement. I wouldn't have given such a low rating if it were just my Spaghetti Carbonara that was dry with chewy pork BUT my husband's Ceasar Salad was old as you can see from the pics. His Ravioli was ok at least but when we complained about the food, the waiter didn't seem to care and took the plate away. I pointed out the ceasar salad being old too and he walked away. There was absolutely no point in wasting any more time to complain. Service and food have gone down. We got the check and they knocked off $3.50 from the $19 awful spaghetti and didn't even care that the ceasar salad for the lunch special was old and dry. I posted pics of the spaghetti and how much I tried to stomach down. I just hope the old chewy pork doesn't upset my stomach. My husband was trying to talk to the waiter of which I told him was unnecessary. There was no point in discussing an awful experience to a waiter who could care less. And the sooner we could pay this unjustified bill so we can leave, the better. In addition, some of the recent rave reviews I read are questionable from first time yelpers without a long standing profile. Does not align with real life experiences from other established reviewers. Eyebrow raising indeed.

Tagliatelle al Ragu but with parpadelle and salmon in the back

I am shocked that I have not written about this place yet as I've raved about this joint to many people who ask about Burbank recommendations. Their pasta is delicious and handmade, their ragu is so tasty... Anything I've tried here has been a hit in the tummy. They have a really nice sole filet if you're not looking for carbs, as well as a delicious salmon. Can't go wrong with the burrata and heirloom tomatoes. Def get a side of veggies so you don't get full off only carbs (if you're trying not to feel stuffed) but there is nothing on this menu that will disappoint Price is reasonable for the quality, they've got good service too. If it's just me and the beau, I prefer sitting at the bar. Kinda nice to catch a glimpse of what goes on in the kitchen. You won't be disappointed!

This restaurant was just "fine" - I'm giving them an extra star because the wait staff was great. The pasta (this is an Italian restaurant) was extremely uncooked, I debated taking it back. You can tell this is someone's passion project, unfortunately it just misses the mark.

Centanni Italian Restaurant has slow service, pricey dishes, and a fairly nice ambiance. I came to Centanni's on a Sunday evening in a group of 7 and we were seated right away. The restaurant was quite empty for a Sunday evening. Our server brought our table 2 small baskets of bread with 3 small pieces of bread in each basket and told our table to "let her know" if we want more. Since there were 7 people in my party and only 6 pieces of bread, we kindly asked for more bread, to which we were given 3 more pieces. It took our server a while to accommodate our requests; she probably checked in on us every 10 minutes or so. After our server took our order, we probably waited more than 20 minutes for our food to arrive. So we had to keep asking for more of the bread. Each person at my table ordered their own dish, I got the white pizza and also tried my friend's pappardelle and calamari. The white pizza was dry and lacked flavor because the only toppings it comes with is mozzarella cheese, arugula, and prosciutto. It's definitely missing a white cream sauce. My friend's pappardelle was pretty delicious though; it has truffle oil and mushroom so if you're a fan of mushrooms, I would recommend that dish. The calamari tasted pretty standard, but I liked how each piece was cut large. Overall, the dishes were hit or miss (some were good and some were bland), but I don't think they were worth the price. Some more negative things to note: - The server who brought our food would slam the plate or pitcher of water down loud against the table. He apologized once, but continued to make the same mistake over again. - I saw 4 servers chatting by the bar even when service was slow at our table. - Our server was having difficulty with the cheese grater and would hit the grater for the cheese to come out. After a few shreds of cheese came out, she would ask "is this enough?". - Our server told us they were out of bread when we asked for more, but a different server came up to us and asked if we would like more bread. She then came out with a fresh batch. Overall, there were more negatives than positives at Centanni Italian's Restaurant so I would not recommend this place.

Nahun, our server, is very nice, friendly and personable. His service is excellent. Also, he was very attentive. This is a very nice spacious restaurant in Burbank! Check out my pictures to see huge chalkboard menu and TV showing beautiful places like Capri Island. We ordered the Calamari Fritti which is my favorite appetizer so have to try it wherever I go! So glad I did! It is came out hot, light and crispy! The Marinara sauce is so tasty and not too spicy! My husband had the Risotto di Mare with so much seafood: clams, calamari, and scallops in a red lobster sauce! He is very picky and he liked it! I love home made pasta so I order it whenever it is offered! The Pappardelle is home made with mixed wild mushrooms and white truffle oil! OMG! It is the BEST ever! The pasta and mushrooms were cooked perfectly! Not to tough or chewy! That white truffle oil was just right, not too rich! Plus, we were served this complimentary aromatic soft hot, rosemary foccacia bread! Everything was perfect! This is now my favorite "go to" Italian restaurant when I come to visit from Honolulu!

Centanni is an unassuming Italian restaurant that is a true neighborhood staple. My husband and I started going here a few years ago and now it's one of our go-to celebration dinner spots for birthdays and anniversaries. Service is always good here. The staff is laid back and they make you feel very at home. Everything we've had to eat here has also been excellent. We love getting the calamari or bruschetta as appetizers. And the pumpkin ravioli and farfalle salmon are our favorite entrees. You pretty much can't go wrong with any dish here though. Flavors and cooking are immaculate. They also have a little bar so you can also just have a few drinks there if you just want. We've had some wine and beer with our softball team after we went to the batting cages on Olive. Prices are really reasonable, especially for the quality. Oh and they have their own little parking lot, too! I feel like Centanni is one of Burbank's best kept secrets, but now you're in on it, too. ;)

Next time I'll ask them to put the gelato on the side because the cake was so fresh it melted too quickly. The servers are quick and attentive, super nice. For parking, there's street parking or $15 valet. Very relaxing, clean ambience inside the restaurant as well.

Everything was incredible. I don't even know where to begin! The pasta was cooked perfectly and that sauce! My lord. I can't stop thinking about it. The lamb chops were so tender and fatty in the best way. And the seasoning was incredible. Including the sea bass! Also, the restaurant is so clean. Especially the rest rooms! What a relief. I can't wait to come back! Thanks, Palma!

It is very clean and nice decorated. Even restroom was very clean compared to other restaurants I have been to. Food was amazing too. I ordered Margarita Pizza. It was so good. It tasted really good. Desserts were great. They were so yummy. I really enjoyed my dessert. I will be back for coffee and dessert for sure. Their menu has a lot of different options which makes it easy to pick. For service, our server was Richard. He was outstanding I can easily say that he was the most nice and friendly server I have seen in a while. He went above and beyond in providing customer service. He was constantly checking on us. He even made recommendations on what to order. If you are a wine person, he can be a big help sine he is sommelier. He even made recommendations for what drinks to order. This location has both indoor and outdoor dinning area. I noticed that people with reservations have priority for indoor dining. People with no reservations were ask to dine outside. Parking is easy. There is street and public parking option too.

One of my favorite things to get at Fish King is the plate with the swordfish skewers. This dish is honestly so unique, and I haven't found anything like it anywhere else. It's basically two shish-kebab style sticks of seasoned swordfish, peppers, and tomatoes, and it's served with a few sides in addition to fried veggies and shrimp. I also really enjoy their tacos. They also have very generous servings of poke (I personally don't get the poke from here because it's already mixed in with raw onions and I don't like raw onion). Prices are all very reasonable--the swordfish plate I mentioned earlier is around $15 and a pretty large amount of food. Fish King does get pretty busy especially around mealtimes so it's better to order in advance and pick up so that you don't have to wait around as long. I think if you order in person, you can expect a 20-30 min wait when it's busy. There's a small lot on the side of the market and sometimes you can find street parking too. There are some tables on both ends of the market so you can dine in, it's very casual.

They know everything about their fish and even the things they sell that you want to use to make your fish. The place is always clean and fresh smelling. The prices are very fair. The wait for service is never long. They have the best salmon and white fish around. They clearly get fresh fish daily. We have never had a bad experience. They even have a place to eat and they make prepared food for you. It is wonderful. Parking is easy and the staff is the best so have fun and go there. You will not be disappointed.

Toluca Lake is an expensive area in LA, but the actual lake is fenced in and not available to the public. I even had trouble finding it on Google Map, but I did see the Hollywood Reservoir, LOL! The restaurant is good-sized and very trendy yet welcoming for families. Parking is $7 valet. They have a surprisingly big kid's menu and have a good mix of seafood and meaty entrees. Highly recommend the grilled Spanish octopus with white beans. Very tender. The Bruschetta was also very good - crispy at first bite but then super soft and melts in the mouth. Wife and I both got fish entrees. She had the chilean sea bass special while I went for the excellent bown-sugar smoked Scottish Salmon. It was a nice thick piece, but very moist and tasty. Our 6yo son got the penne pasta with butter sauce and chicken, one of his favorites. An excellent Italian restaurant for date night or family dinner. Their big menu and excellent service are 5-star worthy.

We told the waiter we were sharing so he split the dishes for us! Food was great tasting, presented well and appropriate portions. We sat inside and the booths were comfortable. We walked by the patio area and it seemed pretty lively on a Friday night.
