She recommended my husband read the desert menu aloud, for the romance of it all. And it works and that's true! Hehe I ordered the 4-cheese Ravioli in tomatoe sauce, and it's unlike any I've EVER had. It's about 5 inches in diameter, round+ mostly flat, and not too salty. Absolutely delicious! Jessica offered to sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top, the service! Unmatched. The Italian seasoning added to the tomatoe sauce, makes it sweeter, aromatic. If you're familiar with my reviews, I'm always searching for vegetarian options. For desert we had the Panna Cotta with wild berries. Excellent, yummy! And we kept it cozy, with mint hot tea. Which is always a go-to around the Xmas holidays. The decor is northern Italian elegance: hand painted art, crystal chandeliers, and white linens abound. Reminds me of when we hiked the hills of Tuscany. With the holiday touch of twinkle lights and fresh winter floral bouquets. From my first call to restaurateur Eric to make a reservation earlier in the week, the experience was as warm and personable as can be. Within minutes of our arrival, we were greeted by co-restaurateur Antonio, and we instantly felt like family at the beautiful, private table they had thoughtfully reserved for us by the window. Our wonderful server, Jessica, made the night even brighter. We started with some Peach Puree Bellini Prosecco that was crisp, refreshing, and beyond amazing. The food arrived with impressive speed, but the quality was truly second to none. My wife absolutely loved the special of the night--a Tiger Shrimp and Asparagus Linguini--and my Angus Beef Bolognese with savory short rib ragu was easily the best I've ever had. Antonio and Jessica checked on us frequently, chatting about the day and the amazing history of the restaurant. This was NOT just a night out at a "restaurant." While walking towards the restaurant, I encountered Eric and by the smile on his face when he opened to the door and when he led me to my table I felt the incredible warmth from him and his staff. My friend and I never had an issue getting beverages or asking questions if we needed help figuring out food options. So cheers to him and his staff, they really deserve their flowers. The restaurant makes me feel like it own little cozy cottage vibe. A warm family atmosphere, casual, yet upscale. I would consider this somewhere to take someone out for a casual date. Rule of thumb, always ask places like this for their specials as they never disappoint. Though we strictly chose off of the menu, the specials are worth coming back for. I had the short rib Pene pasta, Garlic Bruschetta, and Soup. The pasta was perfect al dente with savory short rib which was effortless in its ability to pull apart and tender to taste. A perfect complement was the Soup which was creamy and savory. The Bruschetta was delicious as well with the perfect amount of garlic. I had an extremely welcoming and unusually pleasant surprise awaiting for me today when I arrived here. Unbeknownst to me, my lactaid lay at home. Blissfully unaware of the frustration is was causing oh so far away. After I had let my gracious server Emily know this disaster (as i had already ordered, and I was quite gracious with my lactose indulgence.) she made the easiest changes and my new order was ready to be made. That was, until Emily came back. Not with my order, but with a statement and a question. The statement was as follows: our chef Alfonzo is also lactose intolerant. A more than interesting enough statement if taken on its own, but when presented with the question Emily had for me, I was nearly speechless. She asked if I would like take a lactaid from Alfonzo (the previously mentioned other lactose sufferer). The answer was a beaming yes. What a lovely restaurant! My friend took me here last night for the first time and I will definitely be back. The service was wonderful and the food was delicious. We started with a bruschetta that was excellent. The tomatoes were fresh and plentiful, and the bread was toasted perfectly. I had a linguine with clams and scallops, she had a Bolognese and both of us were very pleased with our choices. My friends and I are very alternative fronting with piercing, tattoos and baggy clothing. I have never been as warmly welcomed into a dinning experience like this. I had the ravioli, corn chowder, and tiramisu. The chowder was definitely great, as much as a chowder can be. But the ravioli was super mediocre, I forced myself to finish it. My wife usually doesn't like Italian food but this might be the exception. Our drink choices were perfect, my wife had some red wine and I had the French Sauv Blanc, which was light and crisp. I had the lamb chops with broccoli and cauliflower also roasted potatoes. The lamb was delicious but the veggies for me weee a little boring. Service was outstanding. We were greeted with smiles, and the various staff we interacted with were all friendly and attentive. Despite feeling somewhat out of place when I first entered the upscale-looking restaurant (I was in jeans and a t-shirt due to running errands all day), I was put at ease by the staff's warm welcome. As for the food, Prosecco Trattoria serves up delicious high-quality Italian cuisine. They have a variety of pastas and entrees to choose from, so much so that I had a difficult time deciding. I ultimately went with the chicken artichoke fusilli pasta, which was like an elevated version of aglio e olio, with chicken, artichoke hearts, and sundried tomatoes in addition to the garlic, olive oil, and spinach. The dish was squisito! Just writing about it is making me crave it again. Haha. We also tried the bread pudding and Panna cotta for dessert, and both confections were rich and sumptuous. Recently I returned to Prosecco after having been extremely impressed on my 1st visit about a year ago. This 2nd time around, my experience was virtually flawless - the atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service was completely on-point, and the food was first-tier! Tip: The venue looks cozy and small from the outside, but once you enter you'll find it to be medium-sized and beautifully decorated :-) On the most recent visit, we ordered several different dishes and shared everything family style. We began the meal with their version of a Caesar salad, which proved to be the perfect beginning to our outstanding dining experience. We continued with the Lobster Rosotto (simple, yet amazily delicious!). Our main was the Black Angus tenderloin medallions with Gorgonzola red wine sauce. The dish was melt-in-your-mouth tender and perfectly prepared :-) We finished that incredibly exceptional meal with no room left for dessert. I guess that just means we're going to have to make a point of coming back - I'm very much looking forward to returning in the not-too-distant future. We had steaks, the Angus sirloin with herbed chardonnay sauce and the tenderloin medallions with gorgonzola red wine sauce. I have to start by saying we loved the service. While our server was great, it was the whole staff that really caught my attention. We had a later reservation which only gave us an hour to eat dinner and catch up (I was visiting from out of town). Even after they were closed, there were a few parties, aside from us, who still hung around. I kept an eye out so that we made sure to leave when everyone else did. Not once did the staff make us feel like we needed to get out, they weren't rude or anything about us staying over a bit. They did what they needed to prep to close for the night but were respectful to the parties straggling behind. It was much appreciated! The food was good and we practically cleaned our plates. I loved that a good number of their dishes are beef which allows me try them since there's no pork. The sauces are well seasoned and perfect for dipping. The panacotta, chefs kiss! I traveled a considerable distance to dine at Prosecco Trattoria, having heard positive things. Unfortunately, my experience was deeply disappointing. Upon arrival, the host informed us that all available tables were reserved, he sat us next to the restroom. Having travelled a distance i wanted better sitting. Upon checking online reservation availability, and the discrepancy was notable. This led me to believe that we were not being offered seating based on factors other than reservation status. It was a very uncomfortable and disheartening experience. Noting that our country is highly divided and it was clear our presence was not welcomed at this location. As it is a huge population of our white friends. The contrast with my subsequent dining experience at Morton's Steak House, where I was treated with respect and professionalism, was amazing. Given my experience, I cannot recommend Prosecco Trattoria. If you're looking for authentic Italian cuisine and a welcoming atmosphere, I suggest exploring other options. It always seems to be doing well, with most of the tables occupied. I don't know why it took me so long to actually dine here, but I'm happy I finally got the opportunity to. It did not disappoint. To eat, I ordered the "Sweet Italian sausage and porcini mushrooms: tarragon cream, farfalle" ($24). The pictures of this dish (that I saw on Yelp) were too tempting to pass up. Service was very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The decor and ambience were on point. The food itself definitely lived up to the hype. My friend and I tried this place for the first time the other evening. We came in around 8:10 expecting to eat and catch up and leave. What we had was a far more extensive and unexpected culinary experience. Even though the restaurant closed at 9pm, they were still so kind and accommodating when we hadn't quite finished everything in time. It was partially their fault because they made some excellent recommendations and we ended up ordering quite a bit of food and had a feast! We started with some crab cakes and a Caesar salad, my friend ordered a mushroom pasta which was a delicious and I order a chicken risotto which was good but just not my preference I think. However, I will return and I'm absolutely ordering that mushroom pasta and diving in. We also order bread and the tiramisu and truffles. Between the incredibly attentive and kind staff, the ambience and the great food, it was a full on experience that we will not soon forget and so glad to have had. We will be back-they have earned regulars for sure. We were also happy to see a great small business thriving in today's world and even happier to learn they are celebrating their (I believe) 20th year in business!!
