Happy to report that my latest visit has changed the dating to four stars. Amazing service and delicious food. They've really upped their game since I was last here almost ten years ago. Solid diner/comfort food.

The food is good but dry service was so slow over all it was good but I don't recommend

    Greek Panini with fries.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Not bad for a diner with a small bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had a beer while I waited for my food and another when I was eating. The waitress was polite but didn't say much. The hostess, while on down time because no one was at her stand, would wait by the nearby kitchen looking at her phone or talking to the waitresses waiting for their food. A lot. The food wasn't bad. I got the Greek panini sandwich with fries. The panini had far too much feta which overwhelmed the rest of the flavors of the sandwich. The fries were okay. I'd probably come back but probably get a different meal.

My wife and I went out for breakfast on a Monday. I was at the Central Diner once or twice before but it has been years. We arrived around 9am and the restaurant wasn't very busy so we were promptly seated. Our waitress was attentive enough. My wife had a skillet that was pretty big. I had two eggs over medium, sausage, home fries and Italian toast. My breakfast was good, I wasn't blown away but it was good. Restaurant is clean, menu is huge. Our breakfast was 1 drink was 31.00, which I felt was a few dollars too much. You probably won't have a bad meal here, this just seems a little more upscale diner food with a Greek focus.

Our Own Challah French Toast with 2 Eggs, Any Style and bacon

We stopped here on our way to the airport so we could give our friend a solid meal before he flew out. I won't be doing that again. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I liked the hometown charm of the place, and the servers were experienced and attentive.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food, though, was utterly forgettable. The "home fries" were a bland cross between scalloped and mashed potatoes. The avocado toast came with a pile of raw greens on the side without any dressing whatsoever, and the avocado didn't have any seasoning or topping. I had to season it myself with salt, pepper, and hot sauce. The one standout dish was the French toast, which was huge!

awesome brunch spot! came without a reservation for a sunday brunch for 5 without an issue. service was very friendly and attentive, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the place was buzzing and there was a lot of seating, whether it was booths, bars, or tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] the diner boasts a huge menu, with some fun and creative specials. I tried their greek eggs benedict (featuring gyro meat) and their cream cheese stuffed challah french toast. portion sizes were huge, and the food was delicious. would love to come back again!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very cool dinner experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff is super friendly and nice! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place has an old school dinner feel, but new and clean inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The pickle and cole slaw is excellent. I got the French dip and fries and had so much flavor. My girlfriend got the gyro and it was delicious. You can tell the tzatziki sauce is homemade. It was amazing! I been here for breakfast as well and it's also great.

    Grilled Caesar Wrap

Came in on a Friday around noon, and the parking lot was PACKED. The service was a bit slow; but the food was good. The fried pickles were spears, not slices. The marinara it came with was DELICIOUS. The grilled chicken Caesar wrap was alright. I didn't think they were going to grill the whole wrap, so the lettuce came out all wilted, which was weird. But overall, good. Check out their cake display!

I can only give this place a 3/5. I have heard great things and wanted to give it a try for breakfast. My mother and I went around 10:30 on a Wednesday. We were greeted warmly and sat right away. Our server Sunni was quick, efficient and knew the menu well. She recommended the skillet as one of her favorites. My mother and I both ordered the Western Skillets. I was underwhelmed. It was very under cooked in my opinion. I asked for my eggs well done. They were not. The onion were close to raw and well as the hash browns. My mother's was the same way. It seems that all the ingredients are cooked ahead of time and then assembled onto our plates. I say this because our meals came out in under 10 minutes. It was also not seasoned at all. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe of the place gave large, clean diner vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] All of the staff was kind and service was great.

The five star rating is because Kelli was our server and she is the best. The second reason for the five star rating is the managers level of attention to details. We love that we were a party of eight and we were treated so well. The food is delicious and made to perfection to your order, you will love the ambience, the energy the service check them out. He will not be disappointed.

Do you have gluten free options? My daughter has Celiacs disease.

Central Diner definitely has many gluten-free options-they always have gluten-free pasta and their buns are quite delicious! Excellent salads, breakfast options, and many many…

My husband and I have cancer and are on a "very limited income". Would you have any coupons so we can afford to eat there? Now that my husband and I are both doing chemo, we can barely get the bills paid.

On the weekend, we waited about 15 minutes for a table, which wasn't bad at all. During the weekday, we were seated immediately. The star of the meal is undoubtedly the famous crepe-style hotcakes. They're thin, buttery, lightly crisp around the edges, and absolutely to die for. Pair them with the Lyonnaise-style potatoes, and you've got one of the best brunch combinations around. The service was quick and friendly both times, our coffee cups never stayed empty thanks to the free refills, and the food came out surprisingly fast despite how busy it was. The decor has that classic all-American diner charm, simple, nostalgic, and full of character. If you're visiting Pittsburgh, Pamela's is absolutely worth adding to your brunch list. We stopped by this location of Pamela's and instantly, I felt like I was transported into a retro 50s/60s diner. The multi-colored walls are decorated heavily with old-school board games. There's a veil of grease in the air that screamed the classic diner experience. SAUSAGE & CHEESE OMELETTE + Lyonnaise potatoes (side) + whole wheat bread (toast) The sausage & cheese (we asked for Swiss instead of American) omelette itself wasn't anything worth raving about as it was pretty typical. However, the Lyonnaise potatoes were phenomenal. It's that in between "hash and mash" texture, and it was seasoned incredibly well. The potatoes were definitely the highlight here, and the omelette was good protein, I guess. Definitely forgot about the whole wheat bread. BLUEBERRY HOTCAKES Soft, crepe-like wrap (a bit thicker than crepe but thiner than pancake) wrapped around blueberries and whipped cream. This was not too sweet and quire savory.
