For those who remembers the show "Friends" will love this place. Just opened 3 months ago but brings back the nostalgia of the Central Perk Coffee House on the Famous sitcom "Friends". I decided to visit since I was staying at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square. It was literally a 5 minute walk for me. Coffee and tea tastes great. Very professional and great customer service. They sell salads, Coffee, tea, refreshers, t shirts and other merchandise. The line goes by fast so no long wait. The prices are very reasonable for New York City. If you decide to visit New York and head to Times Square, I would definitely visit here and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and snap a selfie of yourself here while you're at it. I will preface my review with the fact that I am a huge Friends fan and I came in expecting outrageous prices due to the Times Square location. The two stars is for the cute merch and the great names for the coffee and sandwiches. If I was only reviewing those, the review might be positive. We were staying in Times Square and needed a quick breakfast before we checked out of our hotel. I ordered a cortado and a muffin, my husband ordered a s'mores latte and a bagel, and my friend ordered a chai latte and a muffin. The muffins were edible. That's the positive. The cortado was so bitter I took two sips and dumped it as soon as I got back to our hotel room. My husband's bagel was the worst he's ever had and he threw it away. My friend's chai was basically warm water. We expected more, even from a tourist trap. read more

My friends are fans of the show, so we decided to pop in for breakfast before heading home. The left-hand corner of the room has the couch all set up for the obligatory social media photos. The food and beverage prices are steep, but that's going to be pretty typical for Times Square. We were able to order quickly, and they rotated calling out food and drink orders as they were available. However, I was shocked that the chai was essentially flavorless. Even the spice on top didn't add anything to the taste. One of the reasons I love chai is that it can pack a deep punch with many layers of flavor, but my friends and I agreed that my drink was pretty much just warm liquid that visually resembled chai. They also felt that their snacks and beverages were fairly lackluster, especially at those price points. I just got out of a matinee and decided to wander around to find some lunch. I saw this, and as a huge Friends fan decided this would be a great option... until I saw the food menu prices.. over $20 for a sandwich!?! Yikes. Didn't end up eating here, but it was cute... loved seeing a few nods here and there to the asthetic of the Friends' set. Stopped by yesterday to take some Pics and possibly something to drink. It was pretty crowded for a Thursday around 4pm so we were unable to wait on the line for food/drinks as we had somewhere to be at 5pm but did get to take pics. We will def be back to try drinks I'm in the area often. This location is cute and organized well. Theres a photo op section, seating section, gift shop section and food/drinks section. Love that they have WiFi and menus around so you can figure out your order before getting to the counter. I'll def be back! read more

I tried the mango lemonade matcha, and it was just okay. The drink looked refreshing, but the flavors didn't blend as well as I expected the mango and lemonade overpowered the matcha, so it tasted more like a fruity lemonade than a matcha drink. Went to the soft opening. As a millennial it was a dream to be able to go to central perk in New York. It was the first few days of its soft opening so their was obviously a wait and a line. But I would say the line was moving pretty quickly. The drinks took a bit, but that's ok. They are just opening and learning and the atmosphere was a vibe. Lots of photo worthy areas. You have the. Classic orange couch. Their is also a souvenir section to purchase items and lots of places to stand or sit. Coffee was pretty tasty. read more

If you're a fan of Friends, visiting this new permanent Central Perk in NYC is a must. The line outside to get in took about 15 minutes. Once we were inside we went straight to the "Orange Couch" usually has a line just for people waiting to sit and take a picture. As far as merchandise if you see something you like buy it that moment because they did ran out of the lobster mug I wanted and black shirt. I told myself I'll be back later tonight for them and yep they were all gone! There is plenty of seating area to enjoy your coffee and sandwich while listening to great music. I tried Chandlers iced chocolate cold foam latte it was very good and the Central Perk B.E.C was amazing! That pepper jam gave it such a good balance! read more

Had to get some coffee from Central Perk while in NYC! Such a cute Friends themed café! I tried the Chandler's Chocolate Cold Foam latte with oatmilk. It was really delicious! They have the standard coffee drinks; lattes, mochas and cold brew. The food menu includes pastries, bagels and sandwiches. I loved all the Friends references in the names of the items, such as the Moist Maker sandwich! You can sit on the orange couch for a photo op and they have some merchandise. We arrived right at opening at 8am and there weren't very many people in line. If you are a fan of the show then this is the place for you. read more

So I was assigned to write a story on the Central Perk Coffee Company for its opening as a business piece for my local newspaper, but I managed to get my hands on a cup of coffee and the Moist Maker, which I really liked. I can certainly tell you that it did not felt rushed in some ways. The sandwich took its time to come out of the kitchen, but it was clearly made with a lot of care, and my cup of coffee was pretty bold too. It wasn't some terribly nasty experience or anything. It was just a very good cup of coffee. The ambience was, of course, what you'd expect during an opening. It was a bunch of fans, but if you look at it for what it is, it's a group of dedicated diehards who are just looking for something special. It's not even a replica of the official Friends location, but it's its own thing. It's a modern take on it. It's not like the Friends experience downtown. It's its own thing. read more

We heard Central Perk had recently opened, so we stopped by to check it out since we were in the area. Luckily there wasn't too long of a line to the register. We just got a coffee and a snack, but loved the nods to the show throughout all of the menu items. My chocolate banana muffin and my husband's coffee were good. I expected a little more to be going on here, or for it to at least be more reminiscent of Central Perk from the show, but it was fine for a pit stop during our day. Came here with my cousin since she's a huge Friends fan on a very cold windy day and boy was it packed in there! There was a line to order our drinks and pastries that wasn't too bad. What I will say was the worst part is waiting to get your drink. It took a VERY long time that even the barista apologized for how long it took them to give us our drinks. The seating area isn't big enough for the amount of traction this place gets luckily my cousin was able to grab seats for us while I waited for our drinks. We specifically decided to visit the Central Perk café near Times Square based on our daughter's recommendation--she had heard about it and really wanted to see it for herself. From the moment we walked in, we were charmed by the cozy interior, which felt very pleasant and slightly nostalgic. We stood in line for 37 minutes, and when it was finally our turn to order, they told us they had run out of eggs. That alone was frustrating after such a long wait. I ordered the Joe Tribiani sandwich, and it was awful. The sandwich was cold, the bread was cold and hard like a stone, and completely inedible. I had to remove the top bun just so I could at least eat something. On top of all that, the staff who took our order and prepared the coffee were extremely rude. Came here a few weeks ago during the holiday madness that is here in NYC. I waited in line but the line moved somewhat fast. Once you get inside you wait on another line to order. I got a plain bagel with cream cheese and a hot cappucinno. While I was waiting outside I saw how some one had a friends logo in her drink, so I was hoping for that too. I was wrong. It did take a bit of a ling time to get my drink and bagel. I believe if I am not mistaken these bagels are ess-a-bagels for anyone who wants to know. When I finally got my food and coffee and took one sip of it, it was pretty tasteless and the bagel was just ok. It was hard to find a seat as it was pretty crowded. In the pictures I posted you see how the trash cans are very full/ overflowing... Not sure if they were short staffed or what but, someone should have seen it and changed out the bags. Being a local i was like eh whatever but if I was a tourist, super excited to check out the Friends coffee shop and saw that mess I would be like ew. But no one else seemed to have an issue with it. Would I come back again and try another drink?? eh maybe and also once the holiday tourist leave and the city is less crowded.
