I was very displeased with the way they handled my car while on there lot. I had my car tolled to their lot for a oil change and to reprogram my car key so my car would start. My car was there for six days and I had not had a phone call from them concerning my car. Me and my husband called several times leaving messages asking had the car arrived and when will the repair be complete we got no response. When i called and final was able to speak with customer service inquiring about the repairs of my car they told my car wasn't there. What what do you mean my car isn't there? Then they told me that a different car was mines like I don't know what can of car I have. They blamed it on the toll truck driver about the mixup. After talking to them several times about the location of my car I was finally told that it was found there but the key wasn't there. And that I needed to purchase a new key. So I got in my car went to the lot and after being there and talking to the assistant manager about my car he said I will go look in your car and see if the keys are in it. Low and behold they were in the car. I mean really over the phone they would not take the time to go look in the car after they surprisingly found my car. Again they blamed the truck driver. Mind you my car was dropped off during business hours. And supposedly he did not speak with anyone upon arrival, but they knew my name and said a different car belonged to me, I own a 2012 VW beetle but they told me I own a 2009 Jetta because the driver said so. Again the story didn't add up. Anyway I'm done with taking my car to VW Modesto Ca. It's time to move on. And it's sad because every since I had this car I've taken it there to be service. Needless to say I went and spoke with the Service Manager 2 day later and he also blamed the situation on the toll truck driver also. He did apologize but still left my feeling unresolved. I was looking to buy a vehicle and then once I decided on year, make and model, I started to do some shopping and get the best deal I could find. I called and emailed a few dealers and most lowballed me on my trade or wanted to sell OVER MSRP. I understand why most were doing that as at the time of this writing vehicles are difficult to find and the vehicle I was looking to purchase (2022 Hyundai Tucson) were selling like crazy. Well, I went to Central Valley Hyundai and I'm so glad I did! The 1st person that came up to me was a young lady by the name of Thais. She didn't come off as someone that wanted to sell a car, but as someone that genuinely wanted to help me. I could see she was in the middle of delivering a vehicle so I told her to take her time and what I wanted to look at etc. and when she was done that I'd like to take a test drive. While she was busy, she introduced me to Giovanna and she gave me the same "feel" she wanted to help and not just sell me a car. Well after the test drive of the ONLY Tucson they had, I told them I was sold on the vehicle but I didn't want a white car and I wanted something with more options than the one they had on the lot. Instead of trying to sell it to me, these 2 very professional young ladies got to work! They went and looked to see what they had coming in and when they would be coming. When I didn't see what I wanted, they offered to find what I wanted from a different dealer for me! Well, within a day, they found what I wanted and called me immediately. I went back in and asked them to value my trade. They offered a little lower than I wanted, so we negotiated a price I was happy with and came to an agreement. Well, remember I said some dealers were marking up vehicles above MSRP? Well they got the car I wanted from a dealer that wanted to sell me the very same care for 3000 MORE than I ended up paying! once we worked out the deal, they told me they should be able to have the car for me the next day and then Giovanna then offered home delivery! With every step in the process, either Thais or Giovanna helped me, they were very transparent, professional and truly made it feel like they were working for me and wanted to make my car buying experience easy. I had a fabulous experience buying a car from Central Valley Hyundai. I had been looking for this PHEV SUV for 6 months and there was very little inventory due to COVID supply chain issues. I called about 15 dealerships in California and registered my interest and waited over a year! Julio called me back one day and said that they had one allocation. From there it was smooth sailing. Julio informed me of date car would be available. I was able to purchase the vehicle at MSRP, and julio even drove it over to my home to deliver it (which is two hours away from dealership). I bought my car from this dealership in 2019, and for all the services I took it back to their service department. In the beginning of December 2022 I took it in for it's regular oil change and filter replacements. Then, not even four weeks later, my car dies on me. I take it back to Hyundai. It was there for 5 days before anyone looked at it. No one ever called me to update me, I never spoke to anyone besides the check out ladies, despite asking to talk to a service manager. Finally, after a week, I call and they tell me the motor has metal shavings and the entire engine needs to be replaced. Doesn't that sound like the service department did something wrong a few weeks prior? I no longer trust the Hyundai service department and I'm very upset with their customer service as well. read more

I had an engine replaced that was supposed to be covered by Warranty, however Hyundai declined to cover it because The Service Department was unable to produce the maintenance for two years, stating there was a Gap in Service. When those completed maintenance records were produced to Central Valley Hyundai, they were ignored and the engine wasn't covered. The records were there, it took one simple phone call to the original dealership, to get copies of the in depth service that was done, costing me thousands of dollars. I live out of town and after four weeks of having the car, I drove home (approx 125 miles) and the check engine light came on. When I contacted the dealership it took over 24 hours to tell me there was literally nothing they could do, offering no options. I paid for a diagnostic check and there were issues they didn't even diagnose. Worst Service ever and no accountability for failure to locate through car fax the maintenance that had been done, above and beyond. They advertise they provide loaner cars, they refused that and wouldn't pay for a rental even after delay after delay. Then the car doesn't perform in less than 24 hours. read more

It was run of the mill nothing to write home about...... my intake person just asked me what I needed done and nothing further. Usually I'd get a energetic intake person informing me about my vehicle, and asking me how do I like the vehicle since I have only had it 6 months..( I am a first time Volkswagen driver)..... But no. My intake person seemed to have the personality of Napoleon Dynamite. Thank god you get to see the people working behind the scenes. The guys working on the cars doing service when they go by if you ask them anything about servicing the vehicle, they stop and tell you small things and engage you. THE DETAIL GUYS ARE AWESOME!!!!! Yes they actually talk to you also. Great set of behind the scenes people. There is one young, thin,white guy that works in service with a beard and mustache he is pleasant, kind and has great customer service. He was the only one that was engaging and tried to help with information. I will look for home next time my car needs service. He wasn't my intake person but he was amazing.
