I've put more than 60,000 miles on my VW Golf TDI since arriving in Central Valley in 2014 and the service department has done a good job. It's a bit expensive, but that is somewhat typical of Volkswagen dealers, although it depends on the other brands in-house. With Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Audi, or Volvo alongside Volkswagen, I've noticed the prices are extra high. Service has been very good and the service advisors have been attentive. Make sure that you take your coupons with you. Saturday, December 17, 2016, I returned my car to Volkswagen, per the diesel emissions scandal buy back. I was treated well, and Greg Hayes took pity on me and drove me back to Manteca, as VW did not provide money for transportation, even though I signed the car over to them. In any case, the buy back money became available today and I called Mr. Hayes. He was busy delivering a car, but when he was free, he came to pick me up. There are places where this happens but I haven't seen anyone along highway 99 go out of their way like this. Now, I'm on the Hyundai side of things with a 2015 Accent GS. Mr. Hayes and I went to the used car (excuse me, pre-owned) building and got the keys, so no one else could take the car. We went to his desk and he got the figure that I needed to pay. We went to US Bank on Tully and Standiford to get a Cashier's Check, and headed back to the dealership. As part of the sale, he showed me the service area and he made sure that the car was clean. He made sure to set a date for the 45,000 mile service, even though the time may vary. I also met with the financial services person, even though this was a cash sale. I didn't ask him if it would be okay to bring a bag full of $20 bills to make payment. He walked me through almost as much paperwork as when I bought or sold a house. California is sooooo legal. However, part of the paperwork had to do with the DMV and I like to avoid those lines. You can only imagine how much was involved coming from another state. Sales did an excellent job today. Service will do a great job later, but I hope the prices are less expensive for Hyundai. read more

They didn't have the color I wanted and quickly searched out for it, and within minutes found my color and actually something else I didn't think came with my particular trim I was choosing and was excited to see I had an additional option to choose. Purchased our 2022 Tiguan in April. Also purchased protection plan for exterior. Today I took vehicle in for "auto butler" and paid extra for cleaning of interior. Dropped vehicle off at 11 am. 4pm I called for an update and as usual the service department could not be contacted. After 20 minutes of trying I called parts department and someone found a service rep for me. The vehicle was ready. When I checked it out I noticed that interior had only been vacuumed. There was no other cleaning of the interior and the exterior still shows bird poop on the windshield. Don't they wash vehicle prior to treating exterior? Needless to say I was very disappointed in my experience today. I had the same service done at Elk Grove vw about 3 weeks ago for my 2022 Jetta and I was so pleased with the service. The car looked like it had come off showroom floor. Sadly, Central Valley did not meet my expectations. read more

I am done with Volkswagen and will never buy another Volkswagen vehicle because of the Central Valley Volkswagen Service Department. I called the Service Department in June 2020 to schedule an appointment to have the 50,000 mile service done on my 2015 Beetle Convertible. I was forwarded to the voice mail for one of the service techs. I left my information but never received a call back. I went online a couple weeks later and to schedule my 50,000 mile service and Auto Butler, since I never received any call back. My appointment was scheduled for July 3rd. When I brought my car in for the appointment I asked if the dent on the left front fender can be repaired because when we purchased the car we purchased the extra dent protection. I was told that I would need to schedule another appointment to have the dent repaired which I did for July 15th. I brought my car in for the July 15th appointment to have the dent removed under my dent protection plan. The service tech after putting my information into the system informed me that my dent protection plan expired in June. I was if anything can be done and was told no and was given a business card for Profinish and was told I could call them to get an estimate to repair the dent and pay for the repair. I have several issues. First, In the 5 years of owning the car I only used the dent protection to repair 1 dent, this would have been the 2nd time. I can't remember what I paid for the dent protection plan but I am absolutely sure I got scammed and paid thousands of dollars to have 1 small dent removed that would have cost maybe a couple hundred dollars. Second, why didn't the service tech look into my dent protection plan when I scheduled the repair on July 3rd. No instead the appointment was made, I left work to take the car, I arranged for a ride to take me back to work, just to be told that the dent protection plan had expired in June and given a card for Profinish to get an estimate to have it fixed myself. Again if the service department would have returned my initial call to schedule the appointment when I called in June I might have been able to get my dent fixed under the protection plan prior to expiring. Third, the service department staff is very rude to my wife whenever she would deal with them that she has stopped and now I have to take care of everything. Fourth, just had the 50,000 mile service performed on July 3rd and the car is currently sitting in my garage with a bead battery. You would think the battery would be checked when the service was done. Like I said I am done with Volkswagen and will no longer purchase another Volkswagen vehicle. The dent protection plan is a scam for those that take care of their vehicles and the Service Department at Central Valley Volkswagen is the worst. Oh yeah I did send a message to Central Valley Volkswagen regarding my issues and guess what they never responded. Update 7/28/20 Proving my point Central Valley Volkswagen responded to my review requesting my information via email to their customer service so that they can help resolve my issues. I sent an email as instructed to their customer service providing all of my information. I have not received any response. So as you can see Central Valley Volkswagen doesn't care about its customers or providing any type of acceptable customer service. Avoid Central Valley Volkswagen. Buy your new car somewhere else. In a few years you will be treated like trash at Central Valley Volkswagen. read more
