Food was great, took a minute but was still reasonable. The ambience is great and so are drinks, the Cucumber drift beer was beyond good, and I dont even like beer. The service was ok, the waitress never really checked on us, our drinks were not refilled and we had to seek them to order more up to getting dessert. We just came from here. We were seated and waited almost 30 minutes and we didn't get any service. The service was top notch and the building was awesome, but the food was so bland, the spicy potatoe pearls were mediocre at best, the burger was the most tasteless burger I have ever had. I typically don't leave reviews unless an experience was significant--whether it was good or bad. Well my first experience at Centro Cali Brewing was the best! It really felt as though my husband and I were at a restaurant you would intentionally leave Bakersfield to find...LA, SD, SF etc. You can tell everything is intentional from the menu to the drinks to the atmosphere. Christo and Joanna were our bartenders and they were insanely attentive and welcoming. We got to the talk to the owner James a bit while enjoying our dinner and he was so kind and down to earth. James if you're reading this you should be very proud! 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be making this a regular spot for date night. read more

Went for a late lunch with wife and daughter, was wanting to go last Friday with my brother but a good heads-up phone call on my part before going to see if they have the Hazy IPA on tap. They said it's a week out. I remember that from talking to I think was the owner or manager ( James) several weeks prior about the brewing process and how it takes time, lots of space to brew this beer, and all I was thinking is "don't rush perfection!" The food is great, but the Hazy!? Excellent! I'm a big fan of Sierra Nevada Hazy, that's my go to Hazy, but I don't get the food or friendly service when I have one at home that I get at Centro Cali. so my opinion of Centro Cali Brewery is that it's Bakersfield version of Russian River Brewery Pliney the elder, enjoy it till it's tapped out and know when it's on tap with great food. It's probably a good thing for me that it's not always on tap. I like to exercise, it'd be a tough choice Beats driving all the way to Sonoma County! I'm appreciating every pour and meal. read more

I was really disappointed in this place. I love breweries and was excited to order a drink--only to find out they were out of mostly everything. I didn't even receive my drink until after my food arrived, while the table next to us (who were seated after us) got their drinks and appetizers before we received anything. I ended up ordering a pizza and vodka pasta, but I wasn't able to add pepperoni to the pizza because they don't allow any modifications to their food. When the food finally came, both dishes were cold and extremely bland. The pasta was soupy and tasted like a frozen TV dinner. It's appalling charging $30 for that. I took 4 bites most and left the rest. I'm giving two stars for the atmosphere, but this place isn't what I would call a brewery. I won't be coming back. read more

First time trying this place, I wouldn't come back. Didn't get to try anything I wanted since they don't let you choose how you want your food. Server said it has to come exactly how they make it. Unfortunately being pregnant I can't have some of those toppings. The inside was beautiful. Maybe work on waiter being more communicative and helpful , instead of being rude when asking for a request. Of course I still tried to see what else I could eat but after, his service just went from pleasant to annoyed to be helping us. He didn't even check up on us after food was brought. After having one beer, the bartender christiano "cut us off" and would not give a reason why. After asking to speak to his boss he admitted he was upset that we were confused as to why we couldn't order a pepperoni or cheese pizza. When we asked about it he laughed at us and said to order only what was on the menu. He allowed us to drink our beer, order the pizza and eat it only to say we couldn't continue to stay there. Great experience.... So glad to have a good restaurant on the east side. We started with Margaritas.... They were great, best if had in Bakersfield. Cali Burrata Starter with pesto reduction dressing was delicious. The pesto dressing was so well balanced in flavor, not an overpowering basil flavor, please don't change it!.... Our group tried the Prosciutto, Arugula pizza, EXCELLENT! The Spinach Artichoke Pizza, FABULOUS! The Cali Pizza, DELICIOUS! The pizza crust was thin crust and wonderful! Caramel gelato with sea salt and pistachio gelato were great! And flavorful! The Tiramisu was light and delicious, very good for a tiramisu that was non alcoholic. Loved the cocktail list with many classics, sours and spritz's. House signature Carajillo was very flavorful, The Espresso Martini had a twist, using a bit of coconut rum! First time visit and I have to say the beers were on point! Not a knock, but I had the burrata which was good;however, it could use a few more pieces of the pita. It came with only two and could've been four IMO. ! I'll definitely be back to try the pizzas and burgers. read more
