Què Pasa, Què Pasa?? Boy am I sorry that I did not trust my fellow Yelpers with the rating on this restaurant. This restaurant has been open for a bit now, but it is fairly new and every time I drive by it I say to myself that I need to go eat there and check it out. Yesterday I did just that even though Siri told me that it had a 3.2 rating on Yelp. I did not get into the reviews because I did not want anyone else's opinion to influence my experience. The place is really cute... When I walked in, I was quite surprised with how modern and cute, but also a little its bougie take on the interior design. I thought the bathroom was a very cute concept and if I owned a home in the desert or on a Mexican beach or any beach, I would probably do the same thing. I was greeted by the server who brought me chips and salsa, and asked for my beverage as customary. I sat down to take a look at the menu, which was very paired down and I was excited to see that they had enchiladas made with chicken and mole poblano sauce. For my drink, I ordered an iced tea... Specifically, I asked if their tea was brewed and the server said it was. So I started with the chips and salsa. The chips were OK, and the salsa was just awful. I couldn't tell if there was too much oregano or if the tomato was starting to go bad. My iced tea looked fine, but it was in a dark-ish glass, however, it had no flavor whatsoever, I wondered if I was drinking water. The server did me a solid on this and happily switched out my drink to a diet cola. I ordered the chicken enchiladas with mole poblano sauce, and my plate came with black whole beans that had some Cotija cheese and a little bit of pico de gallo, and a side of cilantro rice. The main dish was two enchiladas with seasoned chicken... I couldn't tell if it was grilled and then shredded or smoked and shredded. The presentation was very nice and I was looking forward to eating my lunch. And this is where things got interesting. The cilantro rice was made of parboiled rice, which is not really used in Mexican cooking. Now don't get me wrong, I love uncle Ben's rice, but this tasted like uncle Ben's rice trying to be Mexican. But it still tasted like uncle Ben's rice. I could not taste any cilantro or the frozen peas and carrots that they added to the rice. The black beans were very tasty. They had good seasoning so at least they had that, but they were not hot. They were lukewarm and I would have preferred them very hot and with a little more broth. I did like the added touch of the Cotija cheese on top. The thing I was looking forward to the most was the mole poblano as this is my favorite type of mole sauce. I first tasted the sauce and realized that it was not made correctly. It had way too much peanut butter or peanuts... And did not have the sweetness that a good traditional mole poblano has. In other words, it was too savory. The tortillas were barely fried in oil, you could tell because they were very inflexible and rigid and cracked. I am sorry to say this, but I found the whole thing gross. I debated whether or not to write this review... But in the name of being honest and sharing my opinion, I decided to post something. Next time, my fellow Yelpers rate a restaurant a 3.2 or lower, I am going to listen to them. If you enjoy it... Great for you and great for the business. read more

The staff was friendly & helpful I went for lunch on Monday with my bf we got chips & salsa right away! I'd give that 5 stars alone, the chips were hot & salty with flavorful salsa not too spicy Our lunch was large portions, reasonably priced. I enjoyed the music & atmosphere. It was fun to see the difference in decor vs Frugatti's... the restroom was the only downfall. 2 stalls and really stinky‍ Overall I'd return, loved the freshness & flavor of the food & service good. read more

Honestly, the food quality is not that good. Service is okay, but not that many attentive waiters around. Felt like a ghost town. The menu is the same as any other Mexican restaurant. The flavors weren't strong and everything felt bland. This restaurant is definitely not worth it. read more

Our daughter flew in from St Louis and wanted Mexican food. Que Pasa has a good happy hour with discounted food and drinks so if we went. I always order seafood enchiladas which are seriously the best in town. My husband ordered tacos off the happy hour menu and added a side of rice and beans. My daughter selected Birria tacos with consommé which I am going to try the next time. They looked totally delicious. The chips and salsa are fresh and spicy. It was my first time and I was so impressed!!!!! I came with my boom club a party of 5. The whole vibe is so elevated compared to the original Que pasa vibes l. I love the new look. We walked in on a Friday night fairly early-around 4:45pm and were seated right away. There were plenty of table and booths available. Which is surprising because of how good it was. For a party of 6 we are used to waiting but no-seated immediately. Ordered fresh Guac as an appetizer and it was some of the best Guac I've had! Complimentary salsa and chips was also delicious. The decor and vibe with the booths was a great date night vibe. You would never guess that it was the old Frugattis. We had a variety of items from fish tacos, to the mocajete, and sizzling enchiladas. The portions are a good size. Do wish items like the sizzling enchiladas and street tacos had rice and beans included but overall it was great. Happy hour runs 2-6pm and the drinks were also very good. read more

I had not been here since it was Frugatti's. The inside of this place was really nice! They did a great job with it but I will say it is pretty small. The food was ok. The ahi was good, but each bite seemed to have a different texture. The staff was so kind and that may what would bring me here again. From the outside, Que Pasa looks huge but from the inside, it is not huge. The bar is on one side and seating for the restaurant is on the other. Tables were a bit small especially for a family of 4 with all our plates and drinks. I got Guacamole and it was OK, but I could taste tiny pieces of jalapeños. The chips were bomb though. The enchiladas combination plate was good, i thought the portions were good. My husband's burrito did look a bit small, he said it was alright. Our waiter was so friendly! We were frequent customers when they were at the market place. With so many Mexican food options we do not go to Que Pasa as often as we used to since it is further away. We had a craving for one of their dishes so we tried to catch the end happy hour. We brought friends and were seated in the bar. The waitress came over about 5:50 to get our drink order and when we asked about happy hour she dismissively said it was over. Every other restaurant I've been to has been more than willing to put it in the order as long as it's before the end which is 6pm. The drinks were good and the tacos de chicharonne were delicious as always and the chips and salsa also wer fresh as well. If our waitress was more accommodating or even moderately apologetic it would have been 4.5 stars instead of 3. read more

First time here at new location. Wowzer! I love the decor and updates-beautiful! The stone work on the walls are on the mark. The black and white portraits of Mexicans artist are amazing- my opinion. The service was great and prompt- Saturday afternoon. The frijoles del holla were absolutely delicious. My cheese quesadilla was good. The cheese needed a little bit more melting- still yummy. The portions were large and enough to take home for dinner. Pomagranate margarita was tasty, but too much ice. Good lunch experience overall- my favorite part was the beautiful decor. read more

Reserved the dinner banquet room for my husbands 50th birthday dinner. Room was nice yet only one waitress was assigned to a large party. Guests had to wait for water, chips and salsa, and food order took FOREVER. They were too concerned with keeping the check order instead of insuring guests were served. Bar service was so frustrating. They didn't want guests ordering from the bar to not overwhelm the bartender. So they preferred the one waitress take bar orders as well. I went to speak with the manager and she was so unprofessional, ghetto, and acted as if wanting another waitress or waiter to our party was an inconvenience (mind you it's a Sunday slow business and other staff were just standing around). She had an attitude and said she was helping at the bar so they were doing their best. It got to the point my guests stop ordering drinks. We didn't order any appetizers because they treated us as our large party was asking for too much of them. We went straight to ordering meals because the water chips and salsa took so long to be served. Operationally staff were not properly used and financially they missed out on revenue because their service quality and attitude turned guests and myself off. Never will I beg a restaurant to take my money. Customer service at this establishment is lacked from management to the staff. We got there at 5:30 on a Wednesday night. Haven't been to Que Pasa since they moved. Empty inside - it took forever to get waters and chips & salsa. The food had no flavor and was very over cooked. The service was slow and terrible. The food also made me sick and I threw up later. I'm very bummed about this experience. I will not be going back. read more

NOT ALLERGY FRIENDLY As a member of the allergy community, I believe it's important to highlight when restaurants go above and beyond to ensure the safety of those with allergies--as well as when they do not. I had plans to attend a get-together at Que Pasa, and since I hadn't eaten there before, I made a point to visit during non-peak hours to ask about their ingredients. When I spoke with a manager, she responded, "We're just a Mexican restaurant; we can't know what's in our food," and repeatedly told me she had never heard of my allergy. They were unwelcoming and unwilling to help ensure my safety. There are plenty of Mexican restaurants in town that do know what's in their food and are willing to make sure allergy families can eat safely. Knowing what's in your food and having ingredients available to check shouldn't be difficult or considered an inconvenience. read more

I normally don't write reviews, but this experience was ridiculous. We specifically asked for the bill to be split 3 ways and were told that was the max they could do. Cool, no problem. Then the check finally comes out and it's one single bill, not split at all like they said it would be. On top of that, there were extra charges added that shouldn't have been there. I had to go through the bill myself line by line and point everything out just to get it fixed. If I hadn't checked, we would've been overcharged. That's unacceptable. What made it worse is that this isn't just a server mistake, this falls on management. The GM, Stacy S., didn't step in to make it right in any meaningful way. No real apology, no sense of urgency, nothing. Just attitude like it was no big deal. By the end of it, the whole situation felt careless, unprofessional, and honestly like they don't respect their customers' time or money. If you come here with a group, double-check your bill and don't expect much help from management if something's wrong. I won't be coming back. read more

My husband and I used to love Quepasa. we went as a family the first time and the service was horrible, and all of our food came out at different times. Second time I went was with some girlfriends and the service was horrible and the food tasted horrible. All of it was cold. I got the nachos and the meat tasted like canned Dente Moore beef. New location is beautiful and the wait is never too long. I've had their enchiladas suizas and a salad with chicken. The mix of vegetables in the salad was delicious. Servers are nice and even when it's been very busy, service is top notch. If I could change anything, it would be their portions -they are smaller than other comparable restaurants. read more

The new decor and the bar is gorgeous! The food is NOT it if you're looking for Mexican. I don't think all of the staples are from a can, but the kind of refried beans which you get at "yt ppl Mexican" restaurants is a little more soupy at this place, not very thick at all, which suggests it might not be that fresh. The Spanish rice seems standard fare, but the "cilantro rice" was giving pre-packaged vibes. I have no idea why a Mexican rice dish would have dehydrated corn, peas, and carrots in it like a ramen packet, or why fajitas would have mushrooms (I've never seen that before). One slice of mushroom found its way into my entree (camarones a la Diabla) which was confounding. Most of the produce is fresh, and at least the salsa brought to the table is fresh and flavorful. We arrived at 8 pm with a party of 10. We waited for over an hour to be sat which is fine because it's a Friday night. But once we were sat, we waited over 2 hours to get our food. Once we got our food, we were super disappointed. The food was not good. My son ordered a carne asada steak medium rare and it was cooked well done. Very dry. We were very disappointed with the food. The place is beautiful, great location but the food & wait time is ridiculous. We were told they had a large party in the back. As a restaurant you should prepare your kitchen to have enough staff to be able to handle a full restaurant and not have to wait over 2 hours for food. It was my first time here. I like ambiance and the staff were really nice always asking if we're ok. I got a 3 combination plate. I enjoy my taco de barbacoa and enchiladas with rice and beans. The chicken has like a tinga taste and I love it. My fiancé got flautas de pollo and were yummy. Next time I'll have a margarita for sure. I'm sure our server was trying, but I was really amazed at the slow service. We were there two hours! And just 7 people. Since they moved from the Market place, it doesn't seem the same over all. I don't even think they are able to serve more, but I haven't counted tables either. Anyhow, really disappointed, especially when you are recommending to others. This was the second visit to QP since they moved. We came one of the opening nights when the news was there, a DJ, etc. Way too loud and we just thought we'd picked a bad night to go. Came here with a bunch of coworkers. Wow! The decor when you walk in is beautiful! There is not much space for people to eat, but it is definitely screaming a vibe. Since we were a big group they sat us in a separate room. I guess it was the "wine cave" the precious owners had. It was a decent size. Man, still thinking about thay decor....anyways, food. The food looked delicious. I had the fajitas supreme. She brought me out corn tortillas instead of flour but she apologized and got me flour. Only 2 but it was enough for what I ate there. Fajitas is always tons of food. They even had zucchini in there. Loved it! My coworkers did mention that they liked the food better when they were at the Marketplace location. Place is nice, but the manager and the server made me feel so uncomfortable, food was not good, I admit I ordered from the happy hour menu, but since when aguachiles are cooked? The tacos de papas had a weird seasoning that made them taste like Indian food also the potato was red,Cadillac margarita was ok, missing the usual grand manier shot it usually comes with, but the worst part was the server telling me the manager had made her go and cash me out, when I'm not even half ways done with my food or drink, I look at her and then at my food and I was so embarrassed, they made me feel like I was going to leave without paying , they did that and they must have gone into hiding after I payed cause they disappeared, she never came back and check on me.
