Went to Centro Cali Brewing today (3/3/26) for the 1st time and it was amazing. We were greeted and waited on by Elijah C. Who made our experience a 10 out of 10. I was unsure what to order because of all the great options, but Elijah asked my preferences and recommended the pineapple/ salami pizza and it was the perfect recommendation for me. This was our first time visiting Centro Cali as family had tried it several times before and loved it. We got there around 4:15 on a Friday and were seated immediately. A gentleman (didn't catch his name) came over within a few minutes to take our drink order and was very nice and speedy with drinks. He checked on us again and was very attentive. Shortly after the last two people in our party arrived, our waitress, Carly, took our food order. Carly was amazing! Attentive, quick, and so friendly. We were never without drink refills and she checked to make sure we loved our food too. Very high praise for Carly! The food arrived quickly and was really good. We ordered pizzas, the triple B burger, and the burrata salad. We all enjoyed what we got. The pizza dough is fresh and has such great texture - crispy on the outside with a nice chew. The toppings on both pizzas were a great combination. The triple B burger was really good as well and cooked just how we requested it. The restaurant has a cool vibe and it quickly got busy after we arrived. Loved the music that was being played but not loud enough to not hear other people in our party. I am so happy they opened. We had the cheese and fig pizza, the fig was fig jam that worked well. Son had the burger and it was good tasted fresh but the mushrooms were diced they got lost. I love that we have another trendy brewery and that it's at the heart of downtown. If you are looking for basic food items you will definitely want to eat somewhere else because their menu is anything but basic. The eclectic menu was fun and we tried a few different items as we were celebrating my son's birthday. My drink of choice was the cucumber margarita which was refreshing and a good choice! For an appetizer we had the bacon on bacon and it was fairly impressive. The presentation was great, the pork belly was definitely overcooked and a little hard to chew but once they perfect it, it will be great! For dinner we tried the lollipop chicken buffalo wings, the prosciutto arugula pizza, the Cali pizza, the lasagna, classic burger, and the Diablo shrimp pizza. The classic burger didn't have much flavor, but the meat was tender and had fresh ingredients. The lollipop chicken wings we thought were maybe something besides chicken because they had a strong flavor similar to lamb, not our favorite. The pizzas were all overcooked so once you got past the burnt taste they were all pretty bland, even the Diablo shrimp which we had high expectations for. Now the lasagna Cali, that was our tables favorite dish, came out hot, lots of flavor, very good! They have some work to do but working out the kinks will hopefully happen soon and I will be back hoping for greatness! I'm not one to bash a business or write bad reviews. I did have a whole thing written up but will keep it respectful and honest. Came in as a group on a Thursday evening and was immediately told that the bar is backed up. There were 3 beers out of the 9 that they do carry were out. The food was my biggest gripe about the place. Presentation is cool but the portion to price ratio was not... I can go on about their other dishes but it's a brewery and not no fancy restaurant to be serving food like that for what it costs. Cocktails were good though. Our server did the best she could despite the long wait times but with the understanding they're a fairly new business they may have to work out some kinks with staffing. read more

The staff seemed disinterested in interacting with customers, it actually turned into us people watching the staff with how they interacted with people walking in. But the space is cool and nicely designed. We only had two of the pizzas, I'd say only 3/5. The red sauce was way too salty but the pie crust and cheeses were nice. Very nice! The bartender was absolutely great very welcoming and attentive. It's really modern inside and it was very busy when I went. I ordered the skirt steak medium rare and it came out a little more on the rare side but on a hot plate so I flipped the pieces over to cook just a little more and then they were perfect! 7/10 on the flavor, very good but for my taste just a little more salt would have taken it up a level. That is, until they went rogue and ran out of their Hazy IPA once for a two week stretch last month, and now another month later, another 2 week stretch. Clean OUT. I was looking forward to trying the brewery. Some friends met for dinner before a concert. I ordered the Cali Burger which came with fries. The fries were really good, the burger was really a disappointment. I'm bummed I paid 19.00. The burger was cold and the cheese wasn't melted. Not really sure if it was sitting around and cooled off. It tasted old. I did like the hand painted mural on the outside and the brewery had a good vibe. Next time I might just come for a drink. Would be a great place to watch a game on the 5 TVs. We stopped in for a quick bite. Arrived a few minutes before 11am but they quickly seated us and let us know they opened at 11am. They brought us water and menus so we could leisurely look over the choices. So many yummy options! We got the Cali Burrata, chicken wings, and roasted tomato/basil soup. It was all wonderful! The burrata was creamy and the balsamic, pesto, and vinaigrette were perfect on top. It sat on a bed of arrúgala with tomatoes. The chicken wings were crispy and the bbq sauce was very good. The roasted tomatoes in the soup gave it a wonderful deep flavor. Overall it was very good and we can't wait to go back to try other options. But the best thing by far was the service. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating for requests of sauce on side, etc. Every staff member smiled and stopped by to see if we needed anything. It was just after 5pm and pretty slow. Most of the tables were free and we were seated quickly. We had plenty of time to peruse the menu, so when the server eventually arrived, we were prepared to order our drinks, appetizer, and entrees: the charcuterie board, the Diablo Shrimp Pasta, and Cali (Wagu) Lasagna. The charcuterie board presents beautifully, but there are only 4 triangles of flat bread-- very unbalanced. We would have asked for more bread but our server didn't reappear until he served us our plates. We were excited to have our entrees, so we just redirected our attention to enjoying our meal. The Diablo Shrimp Pasta was not particularly spicy, (we are accustom to eating very spicy food), so, if you want something really hot and spicy (like Diablo implies), you will be disappointed. The lasagna was beautifully plated, but not much warmer than room temperature and kinda bland. I imagine it might be to savor the Wagu beef, but it's just ground beef in tomato sauce when it's layered in a lasagna-- I just wanted some hot comfort food to warm me up, but it was barely warm, itself. While the food fell flat the Amarreto Sour was fantastic! I would have ordered another if our server had ever returned to check in on us during the course of our meal. Sometimes the drinks make up for the meal, but the service kept falling through. I placed my empty glass on the edge of the table, then the plates, and then we found ourselves just eager for the check. Plenty of great places to eat/drink in the area, so I don't see myself going back. read more
