I came here for an eyebrow wax and based on all of the 5 star reviews, I thought it was a safe bet that they wouldn't mess up my brows (I was wrong). I really wanted to like this place, as I need a new go-to brow lady and I'm a big fan of having a spa like experience when I get my eyebrows done, but unfortunately, I will not be returning. Like everyone else mentions, the customer service is great and the studio is very clean and chic. However, this was one of the worst eyebrow waxes I've ever had. I'm honestly appalled at the poor quality shaping and my eyebrows are completely uneven (like--two totally different shapes uneven). The worst part is that for some reason, the technician rounded my brows at the front - making them look wayyy too much like "tadpole" eyebrows. read more

Nice and clean. The decor of the rooms are gorgeous. The waxers are very hospitable and good at holding conversation with you to distract you from the pain of having hair ripped out of your skin (lol). Reasonable prices. And they always have good chocolate at the front desk. read more

I decided to give waxing a try, and found Cera on Yelp. It had good reviews, so I decided to give it a try. The environment was very clean and the people were friendly. The first time I came, my hair wasn't long enough so they couldn't wax, but they did give it a try on one patch to double-check. They were very nice about it, and let me come back a few weeks later. I have been getting waxed for quite some time now (over 10 yrs) and have experienced horrible(just stop), bad, good, great. The "great" often comes with a high price tag (75 -90 for a brazilian). Well with Cera studio you get GREAT service and a GREAT price tag. In addition the atmosphere is beautiful and makes you feel comfortable. I love the fact that there is an option for a vixen (full brazilian) and vixen maintenance. Monica was very attentative and though I'm sure she sees many people we converse as friends. The technique she uses is great. She combines all of the best techniques that I have experienced in various technicians and I'm honestly in love. The studio is metro accessible and the walk is pretty short. Though, I originally came here because of Bloomspot, I am willing to make the trek from southern md to get waxed here. I am so upset that I did not discover this place sooner! I've been getting waxes of various kinds for about 20 years now. And with just three visits here, I am convinced this is as good as it gets. I will never go back to strip waxes again! For one, it's a super cute boutique-type place, extremely clean. The receptionists are friendly and very helpful. I've been with two different technicians now and both were personable and professional, taking time to explain things and also to check in to make sure you're doing OK. I go for Brazilian waxes and they have always gotten every last hair, even tweezing and taking care of any ingrowns. I like that you can get a bit of a discount by scheduling regularly ... keeps me on track! They are not the cheapest place but they are very reasonable and it is MORE THAN WORTH IT. I arrived to the beautiful Mosaic location, and just upon entering, knew it would be great. It's beautiful, clean and upbeat. This place has the worst customer service!! I walked through the front door at 10:46 for a 10:45 appointment (after driving around looking for parking for fifteen minutes) and then took the elevator up to the studio. I spoke to the receptionist while in the elevator saying that I was walking in the door, but when I got out of the elevator at 10:50 (so weird, but the elevator moves incredibly slowly - I almost thought I had gotten stuck in a broken down elevator) they told me they cancelled my appointment and were very rude about it! I'm currently pregnant, so getting a brazilian is usually 5x more painful then usual, however, the wax and method they use here is so soothing, I had no discomfort whatsoever and no soreness after as well. It is now my go to place. I tried a cheaper place in Rockville first but was not satisfied so then I tried Cera based on the Yelp reviews. And I'm glad I did. They're a little more expensive but I think it's worth it.
