Great cut and style! I originally had an appointment with Meikah. She admitted that she was not comfortable doing the cut i wanted and referred me to Ruth. I appreciated the honesty (many stylists would not admit something like that and would've risked giving a bad cut). Ruth gave me an amazing cut and round brush blow dry! These stylist are great! Tore of my skin leaving it raw and red when they did my eyebrow wax and tint. I had gone here for years every once in a while for an eyebrow wax and tint and they did a great job for a very inexpensive price. First, when I walked in and asked for an eyebrow wax, I had to repeat it 5 times as the guy had no idea what I was talking about. Finally, a woman took me in the back and didn't even have me lean back in a chair made for this or the table right in the room. She took forever putting the color on my brow adding it over and over while waiting. Never had that experience in the 20 years having my brows tinted, so they came out way darker than I wanted. Something they used smelled absolutely horrendous. Then she finally put the wax on when I told her to just move on and she put it not only on my brows but the corner of my eye! When she ripped off the wax it hurt like hell and continued all night = why would she put wax there?? Again, never had that happen before. I was told they got rid of all the previous staff. On this particularly day, my usual barbershop had a waiting line out the door, the strip mall where my backup barbershop is located was so crowded I couldn't park, and another salon where the woman who used to cut my hair once worked couldn't take me for two hours, so I parked at Montgomery Mall, assuming there MUST be a place to get a haircut there. And indeed there was. K & I salon. I was the only customer for the entire 45 minutes I was there. My haircutter seemed to have no idea what she was doing -- a snip here, a corrective swipe with the clippers there. The scissors she was using were so dull they tore at my hair. I would have asked her to replace them right away, but I couldn't get a word in edgewise as shortly after my haircut had begun a girl came and sat in the next chair and she and my haircutter carried on a conversation in Spanish during my entire haircut. Eventually the scissors were replaced and the longest haircut I have ever had resumed. At one point, another employee, I think, came in and did nothing but turn on obtrusively LOUD music. When my haircut was finally done, she insisted on blowdrying my hair, which only served to accent the unevenness of the cut. The entire experience was absolutely surreal, and I've left out some of the more potentially offensive details. I won't be back. read more

Worst place ever. The "hair stylist" was not focused on what she was doing. She was attending the desk duties- she wasn't even prepared. She had to borrow all the supplies from other stylists. Aside from that she didn't wash my hair all the way properly, she left half my face full of hair dye, and I was waiting almost an hour for her to blow dry my hair??! And when I finally got tired of waiting, she was like "wait a little longer" - no. When I went to pay she was trying to charge me $350?!! For what?!! I left with my hair completely whet, I didn't get what I wanted, worst place ever. I need a refund. ASAP. read more

What I really like about this salon is that they are following CDC guidelines and taking measures in fighting Covid 19. Mayda is AMAZING! I came in at 12:00pm on a Monday and asked if she could do highlights for me without on appointment today and she said yes of course and she took care of me right away! I have very curly mixed hair and she was gentle and knew how to handle it which is hard to find! She did the exact color I wanted confirmed with me throughout the whole process and even made time fo straighten my crazy hair as well! I stopped by this salon tonight to have a simple color retouch on the roots of my hair. I told the stylist they usually use bleach as my hair is platinum . I told her that is the color I prefer . She colored my roots bright Purple!!!!!!! Then I said my hair is purple !! She tried to dismiss it by saying it will wash out! I have my cosmetology license I'm very aware of color artistry . I paid $140 plus I gave her a $ 20 dollar tip because I felt sorry for her because she obviously has no idea what she is doing . I will never return the this salon again .
