I was involved in a car accident on July 6. The other driver was at fault, so their insurance company covered the repairs to my vehicle. The insurance company provided me with a list of approved repair shops and made me feel that choosing from this list would be the safest and most trustworthy option. I chose Cerritos Body because it was the closest shop to where my car was located. Since my vehicle was not drivable and needed to be towed, the fact that the shop was only about a mile away made it the most convenient choice. I dropped off my car feeling confident that both my vehicle and I would be taken care of. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. When I picked up my car, I immediately noticed a large crack in the windshield that extended from the passenger side toward the middle of the driver's side. I brought it to the shop's attention right away. Instead of taking responsibility or seriously investigating what happened, their response made me feel as though I was being blamed and that they were suggesting I had brought the vehicle in with the windshield already cracked. I know that is not the case. I provided a photograph from immediately after the accident showing that there was no crack in my windshield. The shop told me they would contact the insurance company to determine whether the windshield could be included in the accident claim so that it could be repaired. When they called me back, they claimed that the insurance company had photographs showing the crack existed before the accident. I asked what photographs they were referring to because, to my knowledge, the insurance company only had the photographs I provided. The manager then told me that the insurance company supposedly had pictures of my vehicle from stoplights or cameras on the street. At that point, I was extremely frustrated and confused. I contacted the insurance company myself and requested that they provide me with any photograph showing that my windshield was cracked before my vehicle was taken to Cerritos Body. No such photograph was ever provided to me. The windshield crack occurred while my vehicle was in the care of Cerritos Body, yet they have refused to accept responsibility. I was also told that the sun may have caused a smaller crack to spread. Regardless of what caused the crack to expand, my windshield was not cracked when I dropped the vehicle off. The shop offered me a discount on replacing the windshield, but that still requires me to pay out of pocket for damage that I did not cause and that occurred while my vehicle was in their possession. While the bodywork itself looks good, I am now dealing with additional concerns. My vehicle is making a strange clicking noise, the check-engine light has come on, and the windshield issue remains unresolved. My daughter is supposed to take this vehicle to college, so I expected to receive it back repaired, safe, and ready for her to drive. Instead, I feel like I have been left with more problems and expenses after going through an insurance-approved repair shop. I am extremely disappointed with how this situation has been handled, particularly the lack of accountability regarding the windshield damage. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Cerritos Body, and I will not be returning. read more

Here is a shop where in full responsibility happens! I went to to two shops Belflower Collision and Caliber Collision both of whom recommended by my insurance who treated me like I don't know anything about cars. It took them a long time before I can talk to them and to schedule a time accordingly on how busy they are. That's a signal that they are not serious about customer service they even said that my 2017 Subaru STI is old and will not be able to repair it! I could not believe what they said. I lastly called and visited Cerritos Auto Body, Jessica answered the call and told me to come over. Marcos welcomed me in and ran through the damage on my vehicle. He stated we will repair the damage for you without hesitation and marked all the damage with his trusty pink marker. I was so glad he took the opportunity to do the repair. He submitted to my insurance agency a supplemental quote to repair the damage. Lo and behold my car came out good as new! Before painting occurred, He even followed up on me to check the bumper fits snugly. On top of that they adjusted the fitting exactly to the size of my front mount intercooler! I am so happy on how this shop has handled the repairs kudos to your workers who contributed to the final outcome of my vehicle. The price and value of the work they did is really outstanding! Overcharged, i was lied to multiple times regarding frame , which was partially done , work was done to the car that didnt need to happen and the simple work that should've been done for my safety while operating vehicle like RCM was left undone. overcharged on mechanical and body labor for subpar quality work. the rear fender doesnt even fit the back properly, and the owner acted like he was doing me a favor by fixing the car. I asked How he was helping me by overcharging, and he decided to block my number instead of take accountability and offer a partial refund. I honestly want to recover my money and if i have to small claims court on this so be it. read more

Was sent here by my insurance after a hit and run incident. Car was damaged along the body of the drivers side. They had to repaint the body and replace the rear view mirror. Paint was done 8/10 which is fine. However upon replacing the rear view, they cracked my inner door panel. I spoke with them and was told "don't worry. I will order and schedule you in. Previously I would have given this business a positive endorsement as I've not only taken a couple of my cars, but I've referred family years back. Unfortunately recently my experience was less than satisfactory. On a good note, the reception & text update communication was good. On a bad note, the body work was not good. I had to take my car back twice, once because they left a scratch where repair should have been done, they touched that up & it was substandard after having my car all day. Then during that touch up they damaged the window molding. I returned to have that replaced, and they basically painted the part they damaged. Another day without car. I spoke with the owner Roger & he basically did nothing to remedy. On top of this, they replaced my mirror with a used mirror that still has a red scratch mark on it & they broke my door handle, which they did not claim to do. I thought I had reviewed this but apparently, not. I experienced a freak incident - my garage attic access lid fell through the opening and crashed into the rear window of my "Little Red Corvette." Contacted my insurance company (Allstate) which turned out to be a joke - but that's another story for a different time. They said that I could take it anywhere, but had a list of "Preferred Shops." The first two declined the work - because, "They don't do work on Corvettes." Anyway, after a long ridiculous, silly process, I ended up at Cerritos Auto Body. I was put in touch with Roger. He was truly a Godsend. I brought the car in - he assessed the damage, made some notes and we started the process. The window took a spell to get in stock, so we waited to bring the car in until they were ready to do the repair with a new OEM Window, Deck lid, and paint. When all the planets were in line, Roger called me up and had me bring the car in for the repair. I was going to be out of town on the day it was to be completed, so he said he would hold the car for a day or two extra until I got back. I wish I could give zero stars. Ghetto place. I took my car here in 2019, that was a good experience. My car got hit again and went back in November 2022, not the same place. The people were so rude. When I got my car back the drivers seat had a small tear. I went back to let them know...their response "it's wear and tear". So dismissive, they didn't even care about my concern. No accountability or care. The rep there was so confrontational, At that point I was sooo over it. It was not worth dealing with them anymore. I wouldn't trust with my car again anyways. Came in through a Progressive insurance claim for some deer damage. Finished earlier than expected.... But... Later that day I found new damage to the car that was not present when I took the car in. 1) 2 large and deep scratches on the rear driver door 2) dent in the fender on the front passenger side 3) not damage, but they forgot to fully attach my front driver mudflap (have to order replacement hardware) I am going to suck it up because I don't feel like getting a rental car (out of my own pocket), but the door scratches do bother me. read more
