Smart, capable, polite, efficient, and well versed in multiple modes of pest control. The "Long and Short of it" is that Certech effectively eliminated our Bed Bug problem. I have run camps for children where we needed to eradicate bed bugs. Utilizing sprays and powder applications did not eradicate the bugs. It wasn't until we utilized heat that the bedbugs were eliminated. Certech does heat eradication of bed bugs; however, the size and shape of our home did not lend itself easily to heating. So, I went in search of a company versed in the use of Vikane gas to treat bed bugs. Certech is one of the only Bay Area companies capable of doing the Vikane treatment (at a dose 3 times the treatment for termites) followed by topical application of material at critical sites in the home (for any potentially remaining bed bug eggs that may not have died from the gas). Needless to say, Justin Sinclair and his team at Certech efficiently tented our home, applied the Vikane, followed up with topical applications, and made our lives good....and bedbug free. Then i have called 3x and given all the same info and been told someone will call you right back...this started on June 22nd it's been over a month trying to just get ahold of someone. Okay so my worst nightmare happened.... an animal of some sort has taken over my garage and taken away my sanity! Certech has taken care of our pest concerns for about 3 years. We've had rodent issues in the house and garage. We've had ant issues and spider infestations outside. They come every couple months to routinely wipe away spider webs, spray for insects, and handle any additional issues we've had, including rodents and ants. I can trust that if an issue arises, that they will take care of it, usually within a week if it's outside our regularly scheduled appointments. We have a play structure in our backyard that they wipe spiders off of and spray (we keep our kids off the structure for a few days after they spray). Our kids are able to fully enjoy their outdoor backyard space because they don't have to worry about spiders and spiderwebs. Had a bed bug problem that was treated by Certech over a week ago. They are very responsive, and the owner Justin answers questions personally. It was easy to schedule with them, and Justin explained everything in detail and helped us with the preparation process. Once here, they were minimally disruptive. So far we appear to be pest fee, plus worst case scenario if the infestation returns there is a 90-day included warranty. Bottom line: Certech is responsive, available, gives results, works around your busy schedule, charges a reasonable price, and has a generous warranty of 90 days. I had some initial concerns given the smaller number of reviews on Yelp, but Justin has been in the business for a few decades, and he started this company only in 2016. Wow! Their customer service was amazing. They came out on Monday to review the termite damage and determine what type of termite it was and recommend a treatment. Justine,the owner, came himself! He was early, very knowledgeable and courteous. He spent time educating me, showing me additional damage which I had not observed and provided me with a very reasonable quote. He was out on Wednesday and did an amazing job. I hired him to also fumigate our house. He spent almost 3 hours onsite. The chemicals did not smell at all, and he did not leave a mess. I highly recommend Colby from Certech. We have a newborn baby and a cat. We moved into a condo to have more room for the baby-and then found out that the place is great but had fleas from a previous tenant's pet. I comparison shopped, and Certech had a solid warranty and deal. We had a mixup and couldn't board our cat during the extermination appointment, and Colby kindly rescheduled after waiting for confirmation about the cat boarding. Then he came again the following week. During the second visit-our newborn woke up from a nap-screaming and crying from wanting to sleep longer and was hungry. This company is awesome. We have had a rat problem for about 2 months. We tried every trick in the book, but didn't work...still had rats. Somehow the rats were getting into attic and this was incredibly annoying. We called and Justin was at our house in 2 hours. He explained the process of how rats do their thing, and then went to work. He was able to find a few spots where the rats clearly entered our attic space. He sealed them up and set traps in attic and crawlspace. He did all of this in approx. 1.5 hours. Needless to say, we no longer have a rat problem. Not happy with Certech. Justin paid no attention to what I wanted and what we agreed on. I called Justin Sinclaire with my gopher problem on Wednesday. He said baiting is the most reasonable option. After probing for the trapping method, I found out that was just as reasonable. He came out put something in some holes, and it appeared he was training a new guy, my neighbor said. I came home to no traps. He said he'd return to trap, however, this is Sunday, and we not only have a new mound, we have a skunk digging up our yard for the gopher. This review should not be a surprise to you, Justin. I told you how disappointed I was when we talked. I only hope that the new guy doesn't learn to disregard his customers, too. Recently my house was infested with ants and they just came out of nowhere. My friend told me about CerTech and I called talked to the Justin.
