So those stains also signify an active infestation, I still have live bed bugs in those stains, bed bugs still crawling around, and thanks to this complex it's getting worse, I'm actively searching them out and it's been two days since the heat treatment. It's going to stay the same until I can get all signs of them gone, start fresh, start from scratch, that way I can see where they're coming from. My bed bug invasion was real and intense. I tried DYI measures from special insecticides to ultraviolet treatments, all providing minimal results. I read about eradication companies charging $5000 with no guarantee and having to be called back continuously. The nightmare is over. One call and one visit on the very day of treatment just a few days out, allowing me to prepare my house and belongings with detailed instructions online. We used quality storage bags. We took clean items and ran them through the dryer, washing soiled items first. We left the laundered items in tied storage bags outside or in the garage. Items sensitive to heat such as candles, aerosols, gels and certain medications were also removed from treatment areas. BABB came to our house at 8am. We had to leave. I called every single local exterminator when I discovered a bedbug in my room and these guys were absolutely the most pleasant to deal with by far. They were responsive, gave me a quote immediately over the phone, didn't make me jump through hoops to talk to someone and were direct and transparent about their offerings, pricing and schedule. They were also one of the cheapest available. A lot of places capitalize on customers in stressful situations, making you schedule an in person consultation before giving you a quote so you're "bought in" with them, make you listen to their entire spiel about how their products are different (they're not), trying to further disempower you when you're down so you'll pay a premium for them to save you. It was absolutely maddening navigating all of this. Just call these guys and they'll get it done. They offer heat treatment, "aprehend" fungal spray and hybrid. Their prices in 2025 for a 2,000sq ft home with 7 bedrooms was $1/sq ft for heating, $1,450 for hybrid (heating affected rooms and spraying the whole house) or $950 for just the spray. Also when I gave their number to a friend whose house I'd worried I'd contaminated instead of just taking their money they suggested a much cheaper bedbug sniffing dog (different company) to confirm an infestation before they did any work saving my friends probably around $1,000 and lots of stress. Anyway Fellipe was great and so was everyone else at the company we talked to and the treatment was effective! Overall, I had an amazing experience with the customer service at Bay Area Bed Bug - especially Felipe! We have traveled frequently for the past ten years and had our first run-in with bed bugs this summer. Thankfully we caught it maybe a month or so in, but I did have a ton of bites and uncomfortable itching. It occurred while my partner was out of town and while I was managing my job, our dog, and other activities without any support, so it was an incredibly distressing experience that took a toll mentally, physically, and financially. Felipe spoke with me by phone at least 4-5 times and was warm, friendly, and very patient each time. What stood out to me was how he took the time to consult me on the heat preparation guide and address all the nuanced questions I had about applying the action steps to our duplex. I must have asked him questions for 30 minutes on one of the calls, and he patiently answered each one so that I felt confident that I knew how to prepare the home for treatment. The technician who completed the treatment was also very warm and knowledgeable. The only reason I knocked my rating down from 5 stars to 4 stars was because there was a faulty wire on the heat machine on the morning of our scheduled treatment, which was only discovered at our home, after I had taken the day off from work and paid for daycare/boarding for my dog. It was stressful, and also financially impactful and inconvenient to have rearranged my week for the scheduled treatment, and then have it cancelled and postponed day-of (and after my bedroom was in disarray). That said, they offered to reschedule to the following day, so it was a quick turnaround, and they ended up giving me a discount on the services after I shared about the financial impact, so I am appreciative of the quality customer service! I would definitely recommend them! A quick note on the treatment results: We had our bedroom and living room couch heat treated + the duplex baseboards sprayed on 8/9/25. We've only found one live bug since then (8/12/25), which can be normal in the first week. But that was it. Now it's 8/21, and no more bugs, plus NO new bites since the treatment day. Dealing With bedbugs is a very stressful situation. Not wanting to deal with a full on infestation, I researched my options after finding a live one in my home. I compared different prices and methods between various companies in the Bay Area. These guys were very patient with me. After calling them on multiple occasions, with my anxious felt questions they continued to sound happy to answer my queries. If I could give more stars I would. I was super stressed when I confirmed I had bed bugs in my apartment, as I'm allergic to them and was getting horrible swollen bites. Managing it myself or going with a solution that killed them slowly over multiple weeks was not an option - I needed them gone ASAP. Jeremy answered my calls and texts extremely promptly and was professional, calm, and reassuring, even though I probably sounded panicked. He was knowledgeable and answered all of my questions with a lot of patience. We scheduled a heat treatment for a couple days out from my initial call, and it was awesome that I could get it done so soon. He was even able to accommodate the fact that I was an hour away from my apartment on the day of the treatment, and we arranged it so that I didn't even have to be present for it. The prep process definitely took a lot of thought to make sure we removed all heat-sensitive items from our home, and I absolutely expected it to look like a tornado came through after the treatment, but it ended up being way less of a mess than I though it would be, and Jeremy communicated afterwards about any items that were moved during the process. My wife had been getting bit for a few weeks but we did not have any of the other tell tale signs of bed bugs.
