I ordered takeout, so I can't comment on service. Food was excellent! I had the brisket tacos. The brisket was moist and flavorful. They also included a really good amount of brisket on each taco, along with cheese, onions and peppers. The rice and charro beans were both very good. They had a lot of flavor! read more

Staff is very friendly and the food was delicious. The owner introduced himself to us, his brother is actually the chef. The chicken fajitas came with a generous amount of cheese, sour cream, and guac. The sopaipillas surprisingly came with maple syrup instead of honey (a positive in my eyes as i'm not a fan of honey), they were big and fluffy. read more

My margarita was the worst I'd ever had, but the server had a great attitude and got the manager involved to fix it, and it is that reason we plan to give it another try. We had our first visit to this restaurant this evening. My parents, my daughter, and I went out to have a nice family dinner. The place did not disappoint. Our server, Jaime, was OnPoint! He had a great personality, and was very attentive. I didn't catch the managers name but he was super awesome also. Everything we got was absolutely delicious, fresh, hot and tasted. Super homemade. We visited on a Saturday night. It was busy night. The service was just a miss.. The table next to us had a special request that took 3 servers and one manager to fix. So maybe next time if I make a special request I would get better service. My taco was too greasy which was upsetting. If we go back I will sent an updated review. First time at Caesars last night and I can say coming from Mexican women , this place was delicious!! We will definitely be back!!

I really wanted to like this place because it is so convenient to drive to.The chips honestly were borderline stale. The salsa was similar to what you might pour out of a jug from Sam's Club. A big plus was iced tea that had a lot of ice! A big win in that department. I ordered the Chimichanga because I did not see anybody with fajitas. The food came out quickly and was piping hot, another thing to celebrate. The rice was cooked properly and was fresh. Service was average, adequate but average. My first thoughts were that I probably wouldn't return. Grandpa had the green enchiladas and said they tasted better than he thought they would. If they could have better chips and salsa it would change my overall opinion. After thoughtful contemplation, I give a combined score of a 3.0 The Blue Goose is tough to beat for McKinney Mexican Food lovers. I don't put a lot of value in the aesthetics here...neither did the owners. I will come back one more time and try the fajitas. read more

We tried this place on a whim, being in the neighborhood and seeing the good reviews on Yelp. It is a small restaurant in a strip center, but it was a great choice. We were greeted with a smile, given our choice of seating, and served by one of the best waiters we've ever had. I ordered a happy hour margarita - strong and good! - and we were served complimentary warm and crispy chips and nicely spiced salsa along with a creamy black bean dip. We ordered the queso blanco dip, and it was delicious - mild with a good dipping consistency. My order was brisket tacos - served with rice, perfectly made charro beans, and a fresh avocado/tomato/lettuce salad - and my husband ordered beef enchiladas with beef fajita topping, rice and refried beans. My tacos were made with the best corn tortillas I've ever had, the beef was tender and flavorful. My husband declared his delicious and almost licked his plate clean. Everything was made with fresh ingredients and freshly prepared - lots of use of the word "fresh", but that's what it was! The price was reasonable, especially for the amount of food we put away. We live 55+ miles away, but next time we are in the area we will definitely stop here again. I don't know the waiter's name, but we were there on Tuesday, Sept 28 at around 12:30pm. A hidden gem. The food is as authentic as it gets. My husband and I were looking for Mexican for date night. I drive down El Dorado everyday and I have never paid attention to it. We had the Grand Parrillada and the Pollo Relleno and the Tableside Guacamole. The parrillada had bacon wrapped shrimp. It was so good. We will definitely be back. This was my first time and I had high expectations based on the reviews. I ordered a salad and for $14 I got a plate full of iceberg lettuce, chicken, tomatoes and 2 slices of avocados. There were no bell peppers like there were supposed to be, I had to ask for them. There was also a hair in my salad. The margarita was mediocre. Delicious lunch! I had a beef enchilada and a chicken enchilada. The meat was seasoned so well and the ranchero sauce was excellent and so was the sour cream sauce with some tomatillo sauce. The only sorta kinda negative thing was the chimichanga was oddly wrapped in the shape of a UFO or if someone inflated a pancake but other than that .. probably, easily one of the best ones I've ever had. The chicken was seasoned right, the juicy level was F'ing outstanding and the jack cheese they used, it had to be made a day prior (it wasn't none of that Wally World great value cheese or that Aldi cheese). The mf was so good y'all, I had to take home the 2 lil scoops of rice I couldn't eat, a smigget of beans and that corner piece you'd typically be ok with leaving behind, that doughy piece, ya boy got that too!! One thing you be mindful of: the plates are stuuuuuuuuuupid hot, some ish you've never experienced but .. I was looking at him bring my plate out I seen everything I heard him tell me the plate was hot but they always say that .. I touched the plate anyway y'all .. why I almost accused them of bringing my food to me but still on the stove. I thought the homie dropped a charcoal in my hand or something but .. Hahahahahaha .. Got takeout Saturday night. Fajitas were great. Wife got brisket tacos and they were good and filling. I had 1 of her brisket tacos the next day and it was still good. Son had quesadillas and the cheese really impressed my son. He had us try the cheese and it was flavorful. The one thing I did notice when I went in was the parking lot was the most crowded I've ever seen this parking lot and we've lived across the street since 2002. The restaurant was extremely crowded being Covid times - glad we weren't eating inside. I don't know what % they should be full or empty, but I would say it was at the not safe level. At the same time it's hard to blame the restaurant since they are trying to make money and it's the patron's responsibility to either stay or leave when they see these levels. I believe we saw a family leave before sitting down when we picked up our order. That's also why my family hasn't sat down in a restaurant in a very long time when we used to eat out at least 2-3 times a week. Each to their own, but we get it to go for the time being. read more

We were looking for a new Mexican restaurant in the McKinney/Allen area and saw Cesars had good ratings, so thought we would give it a try. We ordered food out, so I can't speak to the restaurant experience, but the takeaway food we ordered was maybe the worst Mexican food I have every eaten. The fajita chicken was grilled but appeared to be unmarinated and unspiced. The refried beans were runny and bland. The beef in the taco salad was bland. The cheese enchiladas appeared to be a piece of cheese, rolled in a corn tortilla and covered in a orange looking ranchero sauce, and did not appear to have been cooked in any way. the ranch beans came in a separate cup with so much liquid and so few beans that we thought it was soup at first. The colors of some of the items also seemed a little off to what we are used to (having been to lots of Mexican restaurants). If I had to summarize, the food tasted like it was prepared by somebody who had seen Mexican food in pictures, but didn't know what it was supposed to taste like. I am flabergasted by the good ratings here and on Google, because that was not our experience. Maybe we hit them on a spectacularly off night? read more

My daughter and I stopped in on a Thursday afternoon at 2:30. It was empty so at first I was a bit apprehensive about eating there...then I realized the day and time. Of course it would not be full of people. We walked in and were greeted with a smile and handed menus. The server brought us out fresh tortilla chips and salsa with a dip before we even placed an order. Excellent customer service in my opinion. Dulce was our waitress and took our order. I ordered a taco salad and she had the chicken enchiladas. We also ordered a bowl of tortilla soup. We were more than satisfied with everything on our table. Our waitress was fantastic. She came to check on us at least 3 times during our meal. I would definitely return again. If you are in McKinney Texas looking for some delicious Mexican food, stop in. We like the food and love the people at this restaurant. We almost always get "to go". The carne asada is juicy, tender, and delicious. The cheese and onion enchilada is yummy. I love the taco salad, too. My husband really likes the El Patron Carnitas Burrito. They've upgraded the guacamole recently, and it's really good.
