My family and I tried this place out for the first time on August 11. The space isn't big, but it was very clean. The service was fantastic. The food came out quick and it was hot. As a virgin to Cesar's Mexican Grill, I had zero idea as to what I would have been walking into. They promptly greeted me and my family and had us sat, and drinks in front of us very quickly. Now, before I continue, you must know that there had been only one other table that had been sat during the time frame that we had arrived. Now, the street tacos were delicious (a little spicy but, for me that's a plus) and the chimichanga was almost mouthgasmic. It honestly appears to be a little family owned restaurant with a little bar. All in all, if I'm in the McKinney area again, I'm coming to Cesar's to crush some more food. read more

Great food. Excellent service. Lots of tv's. Thick corn tortillas great. Taco meat actually seasoned well. Very good cheese enchilada. You get salsa and bean dip to start. They also have a spicy salsa. I will be back. read more

Can't say enough good things about this spot! Awesome margaritas, food was fresh and came out quickly. We ordered the queso flameado with chicken which was AMAZING. Babes got the steak and shrimp and I got the pollo verde. We will be back to try more! read more

Great place. Great margaritas friendly staff and nice atmosphere. New but great addition to neighborhood.

We're so happy to have a new Mexican restaurant in this location. The food is ample, priced well, great selection and we really loved meeting Cesar. This is a family business and everyone we saw was friendly and helpful. There's a great selection on the kids menu and I definitely recommend having the flan for dessert. read more

The most disgusting food I have ever been served since I have been in McKinney. Shrimp fajitas, shrimp was freezer burned and had a weird taste and texture. Refried beans had a puddle of water sitting on top. Guacamole was obviously premade with very little avocado. Basically I wasted $50.00. read more

The whole staff is amazing! They treated me and my wife like we are family, even the first time we visited. My wife is from Mexico City and she loves the food, she says it reminds her so much of her grandmothers cooking with authentic flavors! Naturally she loves margaritas and the ones here by far have been spectacular! This is our favorite place!!! We decided to go to Cesar's based on the Google and Yelp reviews. We honestly have NO clue how they received those reviews. It was a terrible dining experience. The service was really, really bad. Once our orders were taken, the waitress never came back to check on us (and this place is tiny!). There were 6 of us and all our food came out at different times and every single plate was cold (we had to send one back). Two of our plates were missing items. They brought us a tostado on the side by mistake and then 5 minutes later came and took it back? Why? To give it to the right table...in COVID times? Or to throw it away? I have never ever seen a place take something back that had been on our table for over 5 minutes! The waitress never removed our plates after we were done, so we sat there waiting with a table full of dirty plates. And then the checks were wrong and had to be corrected. On top of all of this, the food was sub par. The decor is very odd as well, just a bunch of random items hanging on the wall like an afterthought. Not something I would normally care about but after such terrible service, I noticed other things that were off about this place. And I'm not 100% sure but I think during evening dining hours you are supposed to dim the lighting a little? Cesars was so brightly lit for evening dining that it was uncomfortable. For Mexican food, you have thousands of better choices than Cesars. Its very poorly managed and the staff isnt well trained. read more

Do not waste your time or money. Another fly by night wanna be Mexican restaurant in McKinney. Went on a Saturday at 1:30. Not busy. Started out typical, chips, salsa, drinks. We ordered chicken fajita nachos. They brought steak. Server never came back. Finally able to flag another server down. She asked if she could help. I said we ordered chicken, not steak. She replied "you ordered chicken, not steak?" Time to go. As we got up, a kid in sweat pants, hoodie, and ball cap walked up. I asked if I could help him. He asked if everything was okay. Told him no, ordered chicken nachos instead received steak. He said "Oh, ok." and walked away. And so did we, never to return. read more

After reading so many great reviews, my hubby and I tried it today for lunch. He loved his margarita, but the beef fajitas were not fully cooked - beef had no searing/crispness and onions/peppers were limp and soggy. My nachos were boring, surprisingly bland, no guacamole, and piled canned jalapeños in the center. Ok, it's only our first time, so I'll give it a pass. If it's better next time, I'll adjust this review. Overall, though, it was disappointing. read more

We were in McKinney looking at a few shops and found this gem of a Mexican food restaurant. Highly recommend, we will be driving south to visit much more often! Chips and salsa were really good with complementary bean dip! The nachos were delicious, service was fabulous and the Ranch Water was tasty! Thanks for a great late lunch, we will be back! read more

Came here for lunch and left full, happy and with leftovers. Got the pick 3 and chose the sour cream chicken enchilada, the cheese with tomatillo & a crispy beef taco. All of them were seasoned great and they served a black bean dip with the chips and salsa. The beans that came with the meal had some kind of seasoning that took them to the next level from being the usual boring side dish. read more

The fajitas were great. I like how they do not add oil to the food on the sizzling hot fajita pan. Most restaurants serving fajitas smother it with unhealthy seed oils. We have eaten here twice; service and food were excellent both times. My only suggestion would be to dim the bright lights a little for dinner. We enjoyed the peppy music at lunch. read more
