The ambiance is really nice and cozy. We came here pretty late like 30 mins before closing but the staff are really nice to accommodate us. The food were delicious and tasty. I wish i was able to order some dessert but i feel like i wont be able to finish it in time of closing so.. maybe next time. 10/19/2016 - DINNER What a surprise! When I saw the door from the outside, I honestly didn't even know if it was open. Just looked drab and some of the businesses next door had closed. Once you walk in, it is a whole different experience. White tablecloths, mood lighting and beautiful décor. Perfect for a date. We came in to meet friends and sat on the back of the restaurant. Our server, Sergio, was great. We ordered a nice bottle of wine to get the night started. Sergio brought over maize for the table. I love these little kernels. We decided on a few dishes to try. The ceviche Arigato, fresh fish marinated with lime, soy sauce, a touch of mustard, garnish with avocado and wasabi ($12.00) and Vuelve a la Vida ceviche, ($12.00). One dish that intrigued me was the Acevichado Roll, tempura shrimp, avocado topped with fresh tuna garnished with julienne chives ($11.00) Our friends also ordered ceviche and another dish that has pieces of various fried fish. The fish was perfectly battled and cook to order. The ceviche Arigato was pretty lemony and a little bland. The Acevichado Roll had a sauce over it that was not specified on the menu. I did not taste the dish as I did not want the sauce. I was disappointed because I really wanted to try it. For dessert I ordered the Picarones (doughnuts) $5. There were 4 of them, stacked, drenched in the syrup. These were very good. There are plenty of dishes on the menu as this is a Peruvian & Japanese restaurant. This place has a very upscale vibe for a restaurant that is tucked in the corner of a strip plaza next to a Publix. They mainly serve Peruvian cuisine, but do serve a few different sushi rolls. I ordered the Lomo Saltado Roll and the Picante de Mariscos. The roll was different. They took the classic Lomo Slatado dish and transformed it into a sushi roll. The flavor was good. A little too much rice for my liking, but the traditional Lomo Saltado flavors really radiated. The Picante de Mariscos was delicious. The sauce made the dish. It was cream based with a nice kick of heat. The dish was loaded with seafood. The shrimp was very fresh. There were only a couple pieces though. I wasn't a fan of the baby scallops, and there were ton of them in the dish along with the calamari. read more

Having Peruvian blood in me, I know the difference between fresh ceviche and the "other" stuff. This place delivers delicious Peruvian food! We had the fish ceviche and the choros a la chalaca. 4.5 Happy to have found a new spot to add to my local favorites! A Peruvian-Japanese hybrid restaurant? What a great concept! I love the name too. Overall, Ceviche Arigato is not something you would expect in a typical South Florida strip mall. I was pleasantly surprised. Went on a Tuesday afternoon at around noon. It looked tiny from the outside. Once inside, I noticed it was not tiny at all. In fact, it has a nice number of tables, comfortable leather booths, bar seating, and even an elevated semi-private dining area. Crisp white tablecloths line some tables, while others happily bared their rustic wooden characteristics. Touches of red here and there, a buddha sitting peacefully in a corner, and a large painting of a geisha on the back wall tie it all together. It works! I especially love the Pinterest-like paper boats inside the decorative wall niches. I wanted to take some home with me! (I didn't...don't get any ideas Marisol!) You know what else surprised me? Excellent service! My girlfriend and I had a two hour lunch. Service was perfect. More water (when I didn't even realize i needed it)? Sure! You want to take your time ordering? No problem! You want to keep the menu? Go ahead. You want it spicier? Of course! All with a smile. They did not bring the check until we asked for it (I hate feeling rushed). Once we asked, they brought it over immediately. We started with the traditional and complimentary Peruvian toasted dried chulpe corn (cancha), instead of bread. Crispy and salty, yum! On a whim, I decided I wanted cold sake. Our waiter said he had just put some in the refrigerator and that it would not be cold enough yet. However, "give me a second", he said. Seconds later, he arrived with an ice bucket and my sake just begging to be chilled! Yes! The lunch menu is pretty large: rolls, soups, tapas, salads, ceviches, entrees, and desserts. As expected, all of the choices were Peruvian or Japanese. Miso soup next to a chupe de camarones? Why not? For starters, we shared the ceviche mixto. The taste was just right and it was also the perfect size. Next, we shared the tuna avocado roll. We requested it spicy and of course, they were happy to oblige. For our main course, we asked to share the seco de res. They (happily) split it for us. Although plating was very simple, the taste was "homecooked good." Was there a loving grandma in the kitchen cooking all of this? It sure tasted that way! Although not full when we arrived, almost every seat was taken by the time we left a couple of hours later. I guess Weston-ers enjoy late lunches! I am waiting to (hopefully) up this review to a 5 once I have tried their dessert, coffee, and maybe visited for dinner too. My husband was excited when he found a high rated restaurant in weston and it wasn't Italian. Service was on point the minute we walked in and we were greeted by a very friend hostess. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and made some recommendations knowing we had not been there before. We started with the chucha (corn kernel yumminess). I think I can make a meal out of that. We shared the grilled octopus. It was sliced different then I have had before and served on a sizzling plate (a little like a fajita plate). It was so good. So flavorful. So tender. I had the ceviche airgato. It was basically just grouper with 3 small slices of avocado and 3 slices of cucumber. It was very tasty but I definitely wished there was more avocado. I have never had ceviche before, so I can't say if it was good or bad...to me it was tasty. Beware! I'm not usually the type to write such negative reviews but we ordered the octopus and it was rubbery and had a fishy flavor. They did offer to switch our appetizer . The sake was good but the sangria was lacking sweetness. I gave it one star due to my boyfriend liking the sake, I personally thought the sake wasn't as good as other places. My husband and I decided to take my Mom for her birthday to this restaurant. When we arrived it was super packed the ambiance for how small the restaurant is was 10. We were excited to order the food after looking at yelp pictures and not having many Peruvian options here in Weston. The host was nice and seemed to know what she was doing but I found it a little unprofessional that she didn't write my name down or ask for my name. We finally got sat and Valentina came over and was very informative about the menu. We ordered three dishes: Rating 8* - Lomo Saltado it has good seasoning however a higher grade steak would taste better. Rating 6* Parihuela at first I thought it was delicious because I naturally love seafood but my pallet later confirmed it didn't taste very authentic and more like tomato soup the seafood variety was average. Rating 8* Pulpo a la Plancha the first bite was very salty I guess it was over seasoned it was tender as it should be but slightly over cooked. Out of the three my husband enjoyed this dish the most. Rating 9* Leche de Tigre is not a small portion it's huge wasn't what my husband is use to after eating Peruvian but was very good. We usually tip 20% for good service however gratuity was included in a party of three 18% which was odd and my husband had to ask for his change back.. Overall, this place is overrated and we won't be back we will be going to El Chalan in Miami for authentic Peruvian food. read more

Surprise . Checked yelp after airboat rides, and this had high reviews from yelp, so we came for a quick snack. Well, sort of. Was planning to have japenese items. But the peruvian lunch specials had irresistible descriptions from the waiter, and were darn good, (and inexpensive too $8) Apparently they have beef, chicken and fish specials each day. Today was pesto pasta with thin grilled steak with great (peruvian?) flavors; breaded lightly fried fish with white rice and tasty healthy lentils; and chicken was chicken fried rice. All very flavorful and tasty. And large portions -had to take half the fried rice and pasta with us. So we did get the salmon roll too, since we came in for japenese. It had salmon, cream cheese mango sauce and ??? I forget the rest. Fresh, interesting flavors. Came here for lunch on a Friday with my coworkers. The waiters were all very attentive, we were seated right away when we walked in. We split a Ceviche Mixto, which had a good variety of seafood. They also gave us a spicy sauce on the side that was really good! The seafood was super fresh and the flavor was great! I didn't know Peruvian ceviche is so different from Mexican ceviche, so I definitely enjoyed trying it. The Peruvian flavor is definitely not as sour and tarty, but nice and refreshing. We got Lomo Saltado for the entree since that was recommended. The steak was very tender and flavorful. The sauce was amazing, I never would've thought I'd like soggy fries, but the fries soaked in the sauce was sooo good! Will definitely be back if I am in the area! read more

Four of us had dinner here and while everyone else enjoyed their meal, I thought it was rather average. We started with two sushi rolls that I could not distinguish from each other, other than the sauce. Next we tried the ceviche in lime juice which was fresh and tasty. For my main course I had the avocado salad and the shrimp in white wine and garlic sauce with rice. The shrimp had large chunks of garlic that left a lingering taste in my mouth until well into the next day. We finished off with a flan and the passion fruit cheesecake, which was my favorite part of the meal. The restaurant was full and lively when we arrived at 8:30pm in a Friday. I went yesterday with my daughter to have dinner and when she was eating the algae die gallina she starts having an allergic reaction; I need to run to Publix to get Benadryl, after talking to the waitress she said that the chef adds nutmeg to it. I am so disappointed, first because the restaurant doesn't disclose in the menu this, second they still charge us for the plate and third no even gave us an apology. It is so important for people with allergies to disclose this information in the menu. I read online many receipt for aji de gallina and any has nutmeg on it. read more

Ok. My friends and I used to do a lot of girls' nights here (pre-pandemic) and it's mainly due to the ambiance and the wine selection - it's pretty cool and the vibe is great. I happen to love their risotto, based on the Peruvian famous huancaina sauce and filet mignon. My friends and I would share the tiraditos and the ceviches (they have a bunch and all of them are amazing) and based on the things they ordered (the mixed grill, seafood rice, etc) everything tastes delicious. My only cons are the price (it's expensive - be prepared to dish out some $$$ if you have more than 1 course)...and their sushi, which is...ok. They have to step it up with the sushi- it just needs to be on or with the rest of the food. If they find a way to make it taste more authentic and less "rivet", I think they'd be more successful as a fusion spot. Have fun and let me know what you thought of it! read more

We like this place and have been quite a few times. Food is pretty good, drinks not so much. We ordered piscos and they tasted like margaritas. Service is ok. All the times we've been here we don't find it as friendly as other Peruvians restaurants. The last time we went actually, we were sitting down eating and decided to order ceviches first and see if we were still hungry - we we can decide if we should order shared entrees or each person. When we were ready to order entrees the waiter asked if we wanted it to stay or to go which is weird. We've never been asked this question at any restaurant. I have always enjoyed a good meal here UNTIL the last visit. We arrived at 6:00pm and ordered an appetizer and it took 40 minutes to the table. This is a very small restaurant and it wasn't that busy when we arrived. I spoke to someone who I thought was a manager and expressed my dissatisfaction with the service. They didn't offer any accommodation to our dissatisfaction. To boot we were celebrating my husbands birthday!! My husband ate the appetizer but I was so disgusted and angry I lost my appetite. What a night! Not only did we pay $20.00 for an appetizer that came 40 minutes late, but we ended our evening at Longhorns and enjoyed our dinner there. Longhorns in Pembroke Pines never disappoints.
