I usually don't give such mediocre star ratings for reviews, but I really was not impressed. Let's start at the beginning of this story. My cousins and I were getting together the Friday before a holiday weekend. We decided to do a potluck and a couple of my cousins asked me to pick up orders from there. When I arrived, I had a hard time parking because the spots were so small and it seemed like nobody wanted to park inside the lines that day. Coming into the shop, I wasn't sure if the amount of cash I had brought would be enough because the workers never informed my cousins of the totals for their orders. I figured that $160 would be enough for a couple of half tray orders. I was wrong. Luckily, they accepted Zelle. Side note: This place is pick up orders only. It's tiny with seemingly random snack items place everywhere and there is no dine-in here. I figured that the food must be amazing when considering how much of an inconvenience their ordering, payment, and parking situation was. I was disappointed when I ate the items bought from there. They weren't bad. They were just okay. To me, the inconvenience doesn't make "okay" worth ordering from there again. That being said, everyone's taste buds are different. Just because I didn't think it was great doesn't mean that you'll feel the same way. Maybe we just ordered the wrong thing. This location is tucked away in an unassuming plaza. I called and pre-ordered some egg rolls, spring rolls, and.nem nuong rolls. When I arrived, there was a short line in front of me, but I saw my egg rolls ready off to the side. Then I noticed that the other cashier was taking egg rolls from that box and handing it out to the people who are ordering when it was my turn, the cashier in front of me finally noticed what the other cashier was doing, but by then it was too late and she had given away some of my eggrolls. They told me it would take up to 10 minutes or more to make some more fresh ones, but I didn't have that time to wait so I just took what I had, and they just charged me for what I had. I will say the best thing about this place is the price and the sauce. Both of those things are great. The actual rolls were not my favorite. The nem nuong looked pale pink, and the egg rolls were crunchy, but kind of bland? Of course, everything can be hidden with the sauce, but I don't think I would order party platters from here again. They look super simple and just like any other egg roll but once you eat one you can't stop eating them. What makes it even more amazing is that they still taste good even after they become cold. There are so many layers of taste within each bite of the egg roll it's hard to describe the taste. Just go there and buy some egg rolls and judge yourselves. No other egg roll places even come close if we are only taking about taste. This is operated by the parents of the now closed LP egg rolls so I'm so glad they kept this store open. They also have other interesting snacks but for me egg rolls are why I drive an hour for. BEST VIETNAMESE MEATBALLS EVER! My mom heard about this place from a friend while she was in town and made me drive her here just to buy the frozen meatballs. I was skeptical, but after trying them I totally get the hype. Even my super picky friend loved them. They taste fresh, flavorful, and don't have that gamy beef taste you sometimes get. I never would have suspected this to be a great egg roll spot but it was highly recommended by my uncle. We ordered a party tray of egg rolls and after trying several around SJ, these might be the best. I've tried some of the newer fancier places and they just didn't hit the spot. They're you're classic Vietnamese egg rolls and have just the right amount of fillings and seasonings. I think what makes them so good is the taro inside and having the right amount of seasoning. Absolutely delicious Vietnamese egg rolls!!! They are comparable to King Eggroll but tend to be slightly sweeter and cheaper! Crispy texture on the outside, and I love the vermicelli noodles mixed with the meat. The only thing is unlike King Eggroll where the eggrolls remain crispy hours later including a drive to SF, Cha Ca Long Phung's eggrolls get soggy. They also do not give any sweet and sour sauce or some kind of fish sauce to go with it, so your mouth will feel oily and dry after eating a few. Yes indeed, Chả Cá Long Phụng makes the best authentic Vietnamese eggrolls even though their price has gone up by a quarter still $1.75 is more than reasonable yet they're sell like hot cakes popular among party goers and caterers. Loved them egg rolls and bánh pate số (pate chaud) my favorite comes in pork so crunchy and fulfilling at $2 a piece. Employees are so attentive and helpful. Parking can be a real challenge even on the weekends not the best time. read more

I usually call ahead by a couple of days to order about 30 egg rolls and they're always on time if not early. It's under $2 for each egg roll. Cash only. They also have a crab asparagus soup that's not on the menu where you also need to call and order a couple days ahead. But it's a thicker gelatinous soup and you bring your own pot. Depending on the size of the pot it's about $50-70 for a huge pot of soup. If you don't have a big enough pot, they will let you borrow one but you have to give a $30 deposit. Once you bring back the pot, they'll give your $30 back. The soup is amazing for parties and with white pepper. read more
