This place, use to be one of my favorite Indian restaurants especially during the hours they have their specials. Unfortunately, one time my friend and I both felt sick after we ate. I've ordered food at this place several times before, but this review is for the most recent visit (11/11/2016). I ordered through the phone and the chap who took my order sounded devoid of having any soul. If you are incapable of showing emotion or being friendly, working in the restaurant business is not for you, especially if you are the one taking phone calls and attending to patrons. But wait, it gets worse. The guy taking the order said it would be ready in 10 minutes. I get there in 15 minutes and wait in the designated "pick-up" line. First of all, the manager or business owner who runs this store is very cheap, as he only has 1 cash register and 1 person managing the phones, the cash register, and talking to patrons all at the same time. Guess what? That "pick-up" line which is supposed to help expedite the process of picking up your food and paying for it was completely useless. The best part? No one acknowledged my existence when I stood in line. Most service-oriented people, despite being busy, would acknowledge a person waiting in line and tell them they would assist shortly. I had to wait 15-20 minutes (my fault for waiting that long) before I finally got frustrated and grabbed the food myself and took it up to the cashier. Add another 5 minutes for waiting in line because everyone else was ordering their food. Even after talking to another employee, he claimed he couldn't help me. As for the food? Mediocre. Spicy Seekh Wrap should have flavor in it and not just be overwhelming with spices and heat. It masks the taste of meat. You have such great potential, but by being stingy and hiring less than subpar employees, you are losing out on a lot of customers. Why would I go back after wasting nearly 30 minutes just to pick up my food- not to mention no one even tried to assist me. This has happened on more than one occasion. Well I only really stopped here because I was craving Indian and it was on my way to work. Overall it's average, nothing really stood out to me and the flavors could of used a bit of a stronger punch. My family and I went here on a Thursday afternoon. There was not a single person there besides us and the workers. So therefore we got great service. They had amazing food choices and we were baffled since it was empty. I ordered a kebab plate and my family ordered similar items. Within 5 minutes my kebab plate arrived with 2 naans, a bowl of rice, and what seemed like unlimited kebabs. The rest of my family had very similar amounts of food. And the food tasted amazing! I am so disappointed with my latest visit here, this is the only chaat place I liked in Dublin and when I'm not dining in I usually buy papri from this place to add to my own dishes because their papri is quite good. Now comes the disappointing part, in the past I have always purchased papri for $1 a box and thought it was such a reasonable price, today I ordered on phone and when I reached there he asked $27.5 for 5 papris, (keep in mind that even their papri chaat is 4.99 per plate) imagine my surprise, I told him how I bought it for $1 every time and he said the price has gone up to 3.25 per box (more than thrice in about two weeks) I was like even at that rate how do you justify $27.5 for 5 boxes, he said ok I'll charge you $18 bucks, at this point I was so confused at their weird tactics that I just paid and came to my car where when I relayed the incident to my husband he got super mad at me for buying the papri from them at all and said 10 pcs of chicken at Popeyes cost that much. In retrospect I'm so pissed at them being so weird about such a small thing and charging me so high for the papri. As an old patron of this place I feel cheated and might never go back just cause how they made me feel, it's not about over charging or 18 bucks, it's about their ethics. read more

I am deeply disappointed in this restaurant and in the service that I was provided with. The food that I ate was so bad and disgusting that it made my stomach hurt. It is the most flavorless and bland food that I have ever eaten at a restaurant. The service was also so bad, all the tables were dirty and the waiter told us to just sit and he will get to it later. This is not the type of restaurant to have good food. I definitely do not recommend this place, it is for sure a waste of money. I will never come back to this restaurant. Probably would've given them 4 stars except the cashiers were very unhelpful. I have eaten at an Indian restaurant before but I really don't know what dishes were called so it was hard to order from their wall menu that had no descriptions. The cashier was no help and he just stared at me and my daughter. I probably would've ordered more if I only knew what everything was, it was so frustrating. With that said the butter chicken and garlic naan was very good. I thought I ordered the meal but when the food came out they said I ordered alacarte again because the cashier didn't offer any information. The chicken samosas were good and slightly spicy. Disappointed for being humiliated. I am a vegetarian. I ordered a Paneer Wrap. Since its Covid I did not open the food in the shop and rather ordered online and did a store pick-up. While driving I took a bite and immediately did not like the taste. I parked off the road and checked what it was and it was some meat wrap. I called them immediately and reported the same. They said sorry come back we will change it. While driving back I got a call that bring that wrap back since they wanted to check how they did the mistake. I felt wow awesome they love their customers. I went to the store and gave them the wrap. First somebody from inside the kitchen came and dissected it to check if its was really meat. He knew it was meat. He said whats the problem Sir with Meat? I am clueless what to explain to him. But still managed. He called his boss next who came out and gave me a stare. I explained his Boss again. The Boss thought I want free food and that's why I am doing all this. Boss started shouting at me that why I don't appreciate their hard work during COVID and complain for this. I tried to explain to him that I am a Vegetarian who cannot eat meat. He said do not increase your voice and said me to get out of the store with the same meat wrap. I did not know what to do since I felt humiliated in front of other customers in line. I just left the store thinking I really do not care for the money you have charged. I could not sleep whole night and for few days for being humiliated like this for what being a Vegetarian. read more

My coworker and I love the taste of their Chicken Biryani and the lunch special Chicken wrap. However, recently my coworker and I noticed the price increase of the chicken wrap from $5 to $6. Awful food. Ordered a chicken wrap and samosa chat. Samosa chat tasted okay but the chicken wrap was a disaster. The driest tandoori chicken (tasteless, burnt, bland) was wrapped in a half cooked naan. It was extremely dry to chew and swallow.
